I think people forget how much CGB love drawing, I genuinly believe that he would rather have his entire library on hand than winning the game

Bow I want to see CGB draw some artwork
It's so much fun. I have a somewhat janky gates deck where I had 119 cards in hand the other day as I hit them with my 64 power Dream Trawler. They were lifegain (like half the meta in historic) and were a little surprised that 54 life wasn't enough to survive 1 turn.
In every game I play I make it clear: my goal is to have more cards in my hand, not to win.

This is absolutely a chore to play against. Memory Deluge is by far the most broken card in the deck. Waiting for your opponent to stall out until their third Jace is incredibly boring. At least mono Red has the decency of killing you quickly.
You don't need to play against this deck, conceding is even quicker than losing to mono red :3

My opening hand was so slow with double Commune and double Oss, I think. And I definitely was trying to play around Emperor before you even had one. That card is my worst nightmare

This deck got me from Diamond to Mythic in record time last season. But I did replace some of the cards with two Temporary Lockdowns. Too many weenie decks in the meta.

I'm running this exact 60 and having a 99% record against Domain is such a plus.
Honestly I was hoping to see a tuned version of one of your main decks, so I'm happy to see this video. Looking for something relatively reliable to craft for Standard until I have more wildcards.
If you play it well, you will rank up, but mtga will put you against thalia turn 2 when you start going hot, gotta be aware thats a 8/2 matchup for them

love me some Azorius control. Though I took out Irencrag and put in Cut Your Losses which the Casualty trigger pairs nicely with Sunfall incubate. pretty much ends games if they can't stop it
Also, the wandering emperor synergizes extremely well with it too.

I’ve been playing blue white mill for a bit, turn 4 or 5 emperor exile into turn 6 create a samurai, cut your losses casualty with the samurai is the best. Leaves them with less than 15 cards, just need a jace in hand to win the next turn

Can someone explain to me why the move CGB made at around 16:00 works, since the creature gained hexproof and indestructible?

I made this deck to try it and now i get matched more than 50% of the time with 120-250card decks lol. It works fairly well when this isnt the case though.
This feels similar in some way to the deck i play its a black red ramp deck and us control one of my favorite way to win is decking them with my 2b dragon, Chandra, and breach. Its fun.
I really love your channel. It's good to know when not to log onto MTGA for a few days while everyone uses your deck in gold-plat in ranked. Kudos to whoever actually comes up with these decks as well!
you could try this deck with millenium callendar instead of mill for wincon. Teferi would really help the calendar to build up

If you’re alive on turn 6 against enchantments you’ve probably already won
Why no bounces for Jace? No soul partition? That blue Virtue one is great too, pretty easy to triple Jace with it

I've had some success with this deck as well. That said, as always it's worth remembering that Magic is a heck of a lot of FUN, but it's really quite poor when it comes to being a fair competitive game. I might go 10-1 with this deck, only to get terrible draws and end up 1-10 the next time.
7:30 it's game if you get lost ossification on their end step -5 play eiganjo as a land and play ur 2 jaces
I beat someone who used this deck in Silver with my Blue Tempo. It all came down to a Negate when he tried to double Jace me when I had a 23 power Djinn on the board.

i dont understand the use of Irencrag, if someone can please share some insight on this matter.
it ramps your mana early and becomes an equipment in the late game
I'm on something similar. Two less direct removal for Depopulate and Farewell, and I play with the Elspeth's Smite spot.
Map tokens can turn off Smite. Will run Knockout Blow instead if I'm facing alot mono red.
Anyway. It's not a pleasant grinding deck. Durdle control is like casual+ MtG strategy, and folks still get salty over the Mill.
Still too much value when cards ETB, also. I wonder if maybe the meta needs more counterspells or discard than it currently runs.
Map tokens are good for mill because it makes your opponent draw more cards. That’s the point.

What build beats this deck in almost every matchup, in the last week out of 100 matches ive played against this deck probably 75% of the time and I might as well strictly play its counter

I find it ridiculous when Control players look down on Aggro players (I'm mostly a Midrange player). All you do is removal and card gain.
Repeat and add some life gain. Tedious and not much skill involved either.
Yeah, like playing endless removal, Wandering Emperor and Sunfall is a great strategy that needs a lot of thinking.
And all aggro does is try and manage threat presentation and turn things sideways, and all midrange does is try to be proactive and out value their opponents.

If your goal is to quickly climb the ladder, playing mono white or mono red is a good way to do it.

@ConvertGoBlue why do you hate when people say Hello? It's like an introduction. In person you don't just sit down and play. You at least introduce yourself right? Just seems like because its online people are more rude to others and not saying hello back seems rude to me.
Arena is necessarily impersonal. WotC made it that way intentionally. Also, no. I don't cheerfully Hello! everyone I play with in real life. That involves actual conversation and a back and forth - which is not similar to Hello!
It's kind of like the folks who say glhf at the start of every OW match. If it's always said, it becomes meaningless.
The least toxic emote is not using emotes.
