Sir.. I told contractor to use 53 grade cement for pillar and foundation.. he is using zuari ppc and told me its 53 grade.. when I checked in website its mentioned as 43grade.. pink bag.. is that ok..?
Don't worry about grades of cement, grades indicates just the setting time, but strength of structure is dependent on the concrete mix, m20, m25 like such. U can use ppc for slab and column as well but keep shutters for 2days for column, and slab centering 14 to 28 days depending on slab span.
@@ashi2810 Grade indicates how quickly u achieve the specified strength, that does not mean rest of grades cement wont achieve strength, they also achieve design mixed strength but in a slower time than 53 grade. There are lot of research paper available regarding grades of cement with respect to setting time and designed strength you can refer those, concrete will continues to attain strength even after 28 days also, and PPC even though they are slow they achieve more strength than OPC.
