A night in December 2019, I discovered Lucy Thomas on UA-cam through this video, and I was captured. I’ve been a prisoner seeking no parole ever since!
Even at this young age Lucy shows us that she already has not only the voice, but the technique and musical choices needed to be a world class singer. Every performance she gives whether it's with her sister Martha or solo like this is first class. Excellent reaction to a great role model for young ladies everywhere.
As previous commenters stated, Lucy was 15 here. She is such a PHENOM - c’mon, who can sing like that at 15?? Best vocalist ever… I can’t wait till she gets the recognition she deserves, and becomes a household name! 🤩

Lucie, not only does Lucy have the smooth silky feeling to her voice but her vibrato is outstanding in this one. As the power increases she's still clean but her vibrato gets more intense, at one point it punches right through me. That's what drew me to Lucy, her vibrato. Even in "Memory" under the wide-open belt her diction and vibrato is still there. She's amazing.
Lucy first sang this song when she was only 10 ,her 2nd you tube video after her 1st colours of the wind, when she was 9
At this young age you can see and hear the talent. Such a gorgeous voice, she sings with such emotion. This star is shining brighter and brighter with every performance. Great reaction Lucie.
As Bruce Lee once said 'Be water my friend', meaning when you poor water into a pot, it becomes the pot, poor water into glass it becomes the glass. When Lucy sings, she becomes the song, she sings the song with all her heart and soul, she sings with clarity, smooth control, a beautiful softness, and breath control, she checks all the boxes. Those beautiful blue eyes shoot out at you like laser beams that go through to your soul, her eyes look into yours, while she sings, then you are caught, and you have no choice, but to go down the Lucy Thomas Rabbit hole.
Totally agree! I've been 'hooked' on Lucy Thomas from my very first video song over two years ago. Yes, Lucy IS the stuff like no other, in my life as she owns my heart and soul EVERYDAY...

She does cover this beauty voices very young age this was when 15yrs. of age, at this already posses the beautiful pitch perfectly clear as diamonds the vibrato so much maturity rounded of the voices of all possiblly the best female vocalist today.

Lucie, this has been one of my favorites for several reasons. Lucy performs this piece effortlessly, her voice is very clean and smooth, and the long holds are rock solid (no sailing up or sinking but solid on key). For some reason, her voice seems to melt right into the backing instruments and almost becomes one of the instruments. I also like the ascending nature of the pitch, up and up and up. That results in a very uplifting feeling. Then, as usual for her, she drops back down to a very light and restful last few notes. Very good pick and I enjoyed your comments on this one. MORE: her vibrato really stands out on this one. Plus, check out her breath control beginning at about 4:50 in your video, there's a long hold then right on up into more, before taking a breath. Things like this make yer renditions seamless. Add her body language (only one-handed here) and it makes this very personal and when she brings her hand to her chest a couple of times it puts us and her together. All this at 16 yrs. WOW!
This is Lucy's second time singing this song the first time she sang it, she was 10.

This is a great song by Lucy, but you need to check out "Clown" and "She Used To Be Mine". I believe she sang both at the age of 14. Just as good as this one.

She was the finished item at 13 really. Love your reactions Lucie V by the way. Lucy was born to sing, and tho she had amazing potential if you go back..... I reckon the Lucy camp didn't think she was ready for stardom until 13. Hence my opening comment...... and the obvious appearance on the Voice kids in that year.
