With the MCU’s phase 4 up and running, and characters like the Scarlet Witch developing their powers to limitless possibilities, hierarchies of power are changing. Power can be defined in various ways. Some members of the Avengers have incredible minds that allow them to create sophisticated weapons, others have magical powers sourced from diverse realms, while others can punch through an entire space fleet without breaking a nail. In these cases and with the ever growing roster of characters introduced in the MCU, it’s getting harder and harder to rank them adequately. Did brute strength save the world in Avengers: Endgame? In some ways yes, but it was mainly because of Tony Stark’s inventions. Which in this case, makes him more powerful than any other characters. So power is highly dependent on context. Zemo might have no superpowers, and no fighting skill for that matter, but the guy is truly a sneaky genius.
Since this list is highly subjective and obviously biased, I encourage you to put your own list of the most powerful Avengers in the comment section below. And don’t forget to let me know what is the most important element that determines power for you. Is it intellect? Magical powers? Flight and fancy lasers? Technology? Or simply superhuman strength?
In today's Marvel ranking video, I had a little bit of fun with characters who have officially been categorized as Avengers in the MCU or in the comics, ranking them by least to most powerful. Thanks for watching CBR!

Utilizing Chaos Magic, Wanda Maximoff could literally create a reality in an instant where Carol Danvers has no powers and doesn't even remember being Captain Marvel. Sure, she's a glass cannon. And? She can lift and move as much mass as Carol with the wave of a hand.

I seriously think Hawkeye is the most underrated hero ever. He shot a Chitauri glider out of the air (without looking), was willing to sacrifice himself for the Soul Stone so his family could live again, he single-handedly protected the infinity gauntlet from the space dogs, and not to mention he is an amazing hand to hand battler and has a million trick arrows. Hawkeye is one of my favorite Marvel characters and i hate how overlooked he is by the other Avengers.
he's weak, one thanos punch would kill him. The Mcu did everything to make Hawkeye useful and have heroic moments, his sacrificing-self personality because they know his fking weak and useless.

Obviously now people may understand just how powerful Scarlet Witch actually is after Dr. Strange 2 movie. The MCU finally showcased some of her true powers.. although just scratching the surface. At her most powerful self, she can easily defeat anyone on this list. She can literally turn anyone into atoms with a thought. And she showed how much more powerful she is compared to Dr Strange by easily defeating him along with all the other wizards at once. She should be at the very least ranked #2.

Wanda is actually already a million times stronger than Doctor Strange. The Scarlet Witch is actually a Nexus Being which means she's the most powerful being in the MCU universe and also means she can withstand the power of the most powerful beings and things alive including the Phoenix Force.

I agree that Iron man is more powerful but steve and bucky werent trying to kill Tony while Tony was trying to kill Bucky. At the end Steve coulda killed Tony but he layed down his sheild.
For Sam Wilson being Captain America is a very big accomplishment for him. I already seeing in the comics it was spoken to me in a good way to show the history as a black kid. In the MCU definitely is bigger push for Sam to get to the top as a Captain of the Avengers. It shows that he's a leader and a trustworthy but it's going to be very awesome.

@@miserable_owl3567 Not necessarily true, have you heard of classic strange or black priest strange, he surpasses all Scarlett witch variants, he became so OP he was retconned or nerfed because he became pretty much u stoppable. Black priest are aliens who can say things and they come true but they cannot say a full sentence. It usually takes 3 of them to construct a sentence but when they say something it comes true. Strange sold his soul and was able to say all the words and became the black priest king.

No offense, but I legit think Scarlet Witch should be #1. I think she's more powerful than Captain Marvel because her powers exceed of the Sorcerer Supreme. She saved the Avengers in Wakanda and she could heal Vision. With her powers she could kill so many people.
