B-Roll Basement Yellowjacket Extraction

Difficult to get decent video from this nest removal but this illustrates what went on in during this job. The nest was extracted in two or three pieces and about 20 percent of the workers were moved with the nest. Not sure if the founding queen was present.

Hate it when they get all in the insulation like that. Stinger Creations deals with that on trailers a lot it seems. Messy! Oh wow how’d you get popped with your suit on? My guess is you weren’t taped at the glove opening.

I was expecting to see a Vespula germanica colony, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it was V. vidua.

Wow, you still got stung? Geez. Did you end up removing that insulation and cleaning up that area where they were dying?

The nest was removed from the insulation and the wasps were vacuumed from the windows and floor.
