    Thankyou Daniel. Another great vid. I lost my wallet at the OLD Lymm Truck Stop(circa 1980). It was posted to me about 3 weeks later (minus money and cards) by an employee who found it on top of a diesel pump at Charnock Richards services on the M6 northbound. Fortunately I stopped my cards as soon as I realised that I had lost the wallet. So glad yours was found by kind, honest people. Get a chain mate. Drive safely.

    Re 45hr rest . our company driver trainer said that any sort fall in 45hr weekly rest can be made up by adding the sort fall onto the end of an 11hr daily rest, lets say you were 4hrs short on your weekly rest, a daily rest of 15hrs would wipe the slate clean, could be quite handy when you get a long daily rest waiting to reload after a gig. take care

    • @d1986scott
      @d1986scott  5 років тому

      Roger Lanchbury as far as I am aware that is correct but not quite correct. You’re right in what you’re saying you can compensate reduced weekly rest ontop of 11 hours. However by the end of the 3rd week, you must complete at the very least 45 hours uninterrupted no ifs or buts. Our regular daily rests are no problem for us as we are loading in the day before the show and load out the following night. So we are getting at the very least 36 hours between loading in and loading out at every single venue. But as I said by the end of the 3rd week you need atleast 45. Obviously this happens at the venues where we have 2 show nights, or where we get there early. Some of the small print in these rules are ridiculous, and it’s not helped that because of the work I do I spend so much time on rest/break I very rarely have to worry about maxing our my hours so I tend to forget a lot of things too 🙈

    • @rogerlanchbury869
      @rogerlanchbury869 5 років тому

      @@d1986scott because you paid back time owing on a daily rest, on what would have be your 3rd weekly rest is now your 2nd weekly rest in a 3 week period. i've done it never got an infringment

      GaryHowes1964 you’re not the first lol it’s fine it’s not a massive secret otherwise I wouldn’t have given any info it’s just not the done thing to go shouting about it on social media. It’s seen as bragging and people don’t like that

    I'm curious what you guys do when you have to wait a couple of days before driving to the next venue. I guess you're kinda stuck to a parking-area. You're with about 18 trucks (I tried to count the truck at the end of teh first vlog of this tour...). Do you guys hang out as colleages or do you do your own thing. And since you're with such a big group, is there something like catering or do you have to do your own thing? I don't expect an answer, but hope to see some footage from between drives in a future vlog... ;-) Cheers!!!

    • @d1986scott
      @d1986scott  5 років тому +5

      Eppoh Heermans hi! Yes we have full catering on this tour. 3 meals a day from when we arrive at a venue to when we leave. The only time we are not fed is when we are travelling between venues. 18 trucks on this tour plus a couple of others doing support acts. For the most part we all get on well and often go out in groups of 3, 4 and sometimes many more. When parked at a venue between load in and load out the time is ours to do as we please. Within reason ofcourse ie no drinking on school nights etc!

    Brilliant to hear the placing your number and reward if found inside your wallet worked. A lot of good people out there hey, especially throughout Europe. I’ve always done that but fortunately never had it called upon. We did get a rider once who’d dropped his wallet in middle of remote Slovakia, someone found it and actually brought it up a mountain to our lodgings. Karma
