Getting to know something like this today when I saw an advert flashed on net about learning and I saw your channel. Very impressive and looks easy(until I try it out ). But sincerely, I love love love what you've done here. Can I really learn this at 53

Being a native of this Art would like to draw your attention that this Art format is known as Mud Art (Mud Mirror Work) not Lippan.
Mud Work & Lippan both done by same material but both are having different style/strokes.
Lippan is a layering process with cow dung and clay on the walls/floor.
While Mud Work is like a relif work a embossing and shaping clay on wall or wood.
Mud Work is practiced by different communities of Kutch, Gujarat. They all have their own strokes/designs.
Earlier this was also known as Chittarkaam (चितरकाम) by locals.
I am practicing this art professionally since past 20 years.
Young netizens wrongly popularized this as Lippan.
It is pitiful to see native artists also calls this form of Art as Lippan.

Hi. Very nice art work. This was very interesting to use Fevicol empty bottle. I was unable to make cone even after trying for several times. I will definitely try the bottle technique. Looks very easy. I hope it will be easy to do lippan this way. Mouldit and even clay which I have used for so many of my work was difficult indeed. Thanks dear. 🙏😊

Can we use white cement instead of wall putty??
No 😲 White cement will get harden in few mins, so only use wallputy /marbel powder/ceramic powder

¡Gracias por tu apreciación! todo el material que uso es polvo de lechada, pegamento y un poco de agua, tienes que hacer pasta de polvo de lechada mezclando pegamento y llenarlo en un tubo, la mezcla que he aplicado sobre la base de cartón también es pasta de polvo de lechada, solo haz Un poco de pasta de lechada para aplicar sobre cartón. si aún necesita ayuda, comente, nuevamente, 🙂

Beautiful! I wanted to ask that how much time does it take for the wall Putty to dry?
It dries very quickly in 1 hour but let the art dry for at least 2-3 hours,in winters you may extend the time,🙂
Instead of this we can also use mould clay also na?.. N for base can we use mdf
Yeah sure,here my motive is to make this diy cost effective yet beautiful but if you want you can you use MDF for base and clay for art work

Yes it will but you can try applying 2-3 coats of varnish on it ,it can save it for at least 6 months

Hello @Avneet,you can hand the wall piece by sticking the jute rope loop with help of some strong glue like Fevibond or else you can buy small hanging hooks from the market and stick it behind the wall decor

What is the second paste used for lining work consists of. Sorry i have language problem in understanding properly. Is it the paste of wall putty + mixture of fevicol and water in the ratio 1: 4 used for base coat but of thick consistency?

Hey you can get it from local stationary shops, these are craft mirror easily available everywhere
can we use poster colors instead of Acrylic colors?
Yes you can but u can't display it in outdoor areas,as poster colour tends to disappear after some time

You can use any glue, either PVA Or wood glue

You cannot use white cement for lippan work,as cement has a tendency to dry faster,you won't be able to use cone filled with white cement so only use wall putty or marble powder for cone work

it would be better if you make the paste of wall putty only using Fevicol but if you want to add water then you can follow 4:2:1 ratio, wallputty: Fevicol:water.hope it works for you

No Muhaseen, Pop will dries quickly so you won't be able to make paste out of it for cone work

Hw long it will remain as it is or after some time it will break
It is sturdy enough to accept normal wear and tears ,avoid placing it in direct sun and it is water resistant not waterproof
In Kutch wall putti isn't used for mud art. One type of MITTI only available in Kutch region is used for it. Mitti, newspaper and fevicol are used to make dough then rolling some dough with hand we do a design in cardboard.
what is the power you mixed with the glue?
It is Wall putty its a white cement-based powder made of polymer and other minerals that make the wall look smoother. It is primarily used to fill in cracks and holes in walls and prepare an even wall surface before applying paint.

Hey Jayshree , you can stick any hook with the help of Fevi Bond or Use double sided tape, its very light weight

Wall putty is a white cement made of white powder that contains minerals and top quality polymer. Wall putty can be used on rendered walls, precast walls, aerated light-weight blocks, concrete, etc. It can also be used on walls that are cracked or damaged or have small holes.you can easily get on any paint shop

You can clean it with dry brush 🖌️ or damp cloth pls note hand movements should be very light over it
