FadedEbony I guess that's what all those people on twitter were telling him haha. Kind of seems like a no brainer, idk Burnie's financial status but it seems like he's pretty well off so maybe a hundred bucks isn't that big of a deal for him.
I've never actively watched the show, but that's how it was explained to me and it makes a lot of sense. I would assume a skull left out on the ground would end up a lot more brittle than a skull kept somewhere or left underground.
Burnie your phone shattering wasn't your fault it was 100% Apple's fault. There is no reason for the screen to not be virtually shatterproof aside from them wanting users to pay extra to have it fixed.
moviemaker2011z Oh, didn't realize you were referring to the screen protector, thought you were referring to the phone. but yeah, that's absurd. Considering those screen protectors cost a few dollars to make at most, and can be gotten off of Amazon for under $10, it's ridiculous they wouldn't replace it.
What are you talking about? Do you know how glass works? If a company could come up with a completely shatter proof glass screen, they could make more money from that than they would make fixing screens.
***** At this point pretty much every phone uses gorilla glass. Apple has been using it for nearly 10 years. Obviously it is tougher than regular glass, but its not completely shatter proof at all.
I've done the "read the last page" thing too. Not to find a book I want to read, but I used to do it with almost every book I've read. I'd be partways through, I'd flip to the end for a couple seconds to read it, then go back.
Going off the ACT thing: in Arizona, we have this test called the AZ Merit, use to be called AIMS, and I obviously had to take that as a sophomore in high school and all that. Well, in the beginning of my Junior year, they got rid of AIMS and gave us the AZ Merit. Now, it wasn't full in set yet so the sophomores of that year didn't have to take anything (lucky) and near the end of our junior year, they gave us a practice AZ Merit test. The first question, after reading a 5 paragraph text, was a question about ducks. Mind you, the passage mentioned ducks once but it had NOTHING to do with the question it gave us. I wish I remembered the question but my entire class was confused about that one and we actually spent the rest of class talking about it with our English teacher.
I've dug up a few human skulls. 99% of the time they're already broken, else they're incredibly delicate. When I was cleaning one, I accidentally crushed it so many times.
what this election has taught me is that not a lot of americans know how our election system works and that people dont know what checks and balances are
Jonathan Puckett it taught me how little anyone seems to care about truth or logic, this is for both sides. The amount of hysterics, slander and exaggerations from each side was unbelievable
Nicholas Escalona wow.... I mean just wow. I hope youre trolling. You understand that if they were done away with someone who you don't like could also do whatever they wanted. So while these 4 years might be great for you the next 4 or 8 could be hell if your party loses.
The new trend is getting married when you're barely 20... so many people I know, they don't even have stable jobs, they just started attending uni. Why?
I've worked in the grocery business for 8 years. The reason food must be thrown away is since the location is private property, if anyone were to get sick/ill from bad or spoiled food, the company would be liable for that person. This is also why you see dumpsters locked up or hidden. If an employee eats damaged or spoiled food that has officially been marked as bad, then the employee activity "endangers" themselves, resulting in termination. Stupid policy, I wish food wasn't wasted, but thats the stance that most companies take when firing someone.
Im sure it has more to do with the software he uses on the devices for work. Ive seen them in general talk about how they prefer some software for editing, scheduling, and communication.
Coin collector here, the 100 dollar bill that Burnie has is a Pre 1996 bill. Known as a "small portrait". It actually has been the same design since the 1920's . The different style that Ashley is talking about is the 1960's when the colored ink for the seal was red. This meant that it was "US Currency" which is different from "legal tender". And yes. Burnie is wrong in saying that $100 is the lowest denomination. Even Ashley is wrong. The denominations of *paper* money range from 5c --> $100,000. ALL bills are still considered legal tender in the US. I could take my $500 bill into the store now and spend it for $500. BUT it is worth $850 --> $900. Fun fact, there are only 2 $100,000 bills in existence. One can be viewed in the Smithsonian's Numismatist exhibit.
Burnie, your friend reading the last paragraph is totally sane. It makes a book far more enjoyable for some of us to know the end then to experience the journey to reach that point. I never got the whole "omg spoilers, everything is ruined!" culture that has developed on the internet in the past few years. I guess the philosophy is thus: If an experience is about the journey, not the destination, wouldn't it be nicer to have assurance of the time and place of that destination so the anxiety will not distract you from the finer details of the journey?
I will disagree with this. Many people have disliked spoilers for a long time, the big ones. "Vader is Luke's Father" and such major plot twists and climactic events, but the current culture is that even the slightest and most trivial minutiae that something may-or-may-have-not happened sets them off and it becomes impossible to casually discuss and reflect upon a particular work of media for months on end. I would also like to posit on my original description of why I, and presumably others enjoy spoilers and read the last page first. This is all theoretical, but I would say that for those that have such an averse reaction to being spoiled, are primarily fixated upon the "WHAT" happens to "WHO" of a story. Those of us who enjoy spoilers enjoy a story for the "WHY" and "HOW." Once again: all theoretical, but in my personal experience I enjoy history and might guess the spoiler-averse are not as fond of the subject. For example: (spoiler alert) World War Two ended with the dropping of atomic bombs on Japan. I already know the explosions happened, but the interesting part is reading about how such things were conceived, constructed, and executed and the thoughts and anxieties of those involved in whole process.
Beacause apple's entire buisness model is locking people in with exclusionary software. Burnie said he tried to leave apple but he was so engrained into the IMessage ecosystem and couldn't make the switch. It's a fascinating and horrifying practice to look at.
My mom and dad got divorced and I then watched my mom get into a relationship with someone who treated her just as shitty as my dad did, I'm now terrified that I'm going to turn out like they did.
For those who may be interested, the "jaw" (or mandible) Gavin refers to at 52:36 - 52:38 *_is_* part of the skull, connecting with the Zygomatic Process at site of the ear. If you were to get a human skull for medical -- specifically anatomical -- purposes, you would get a mandible because it is a bone of the skull just like the rest.

The thing I don't understand about Colin Kaepernick's reason for not voting, and really the reason why half the country didn't vote, was because they didn't like the _two_ options for the election, even though Clinton and Trump were _not_ the only two people running for President.
I read the last page of a book before I read it because I want to know how a character gets to that point. If I am super intrigued I will read that book.

In 1980 Lancia began designing the 037 to comply with the then new FIA Group B regulations that allowed cars to race with relatively few homologation models being built. As the project was number 037, this eventually became the name by which the car was known. Abarth, now a part of the Lancia-Fiat family, did most of the design work, even incorporating styling cues from some of its famous race cars of the 1950s and 1960s such as a double bubble roof line. The car was born from the collaboration between Pininfarina, Abarth, Dallara and the project manager, engineer Sergio Limone. Prior to its first participation in the 1982 World Rally Championship season, 200 road-going models were built to comply with Group B regulations.
Nizzle Prizzle Havent they been averaging multiple issues of the comic per episode recently? with the exception of a few pillar moments like the new season premiere?
I remember when they all called Ashley crazy for not having any songs on her phone and now she and everybody else are calling that guy crazy for reading the last paragraph. It comes full circle.
Burnie is turning in to more of a cranky old man than Gus "get off my lawn" Sorola, It's kinda sad considering his future car and space age life style, maybe it's making him old before his time.
I probably haven't listened to the Podcast since RTX earlier this year in Austin, and before that it was probably a whole year. And this is coming from someone who paid the $500 for the VIP pass. God I missed this.
***** Well there wasn't anything else going on at the time, and it was the big event. When you get to walk into a closed off event that's been line capped for 2+ hours and sit front row, you don't miss it XD
***** Not really...when going on vacation to RTX, I could either stand in line like a pleb for 3-5 hours per panel depending on the event, or go get food, watch a small panel, come back 10 minutes before the big panel everyone else was waiting for, and still sit front row. And yeah, it was just that easy. Also not to mention I drank about $100+ worth of free Booze at the RTX party where all of Rooster Teeth Cast and Crew attended, met a crap ton of the people working at Rooster Teeth including Burnie, Jermey, Blaine, Adam, Michael, Lindsey, Barbara, Chirs, Elise, etc, all of which literally came to the party expecting to interact with the VIP fans and only the VIPs were admitted into the party. So...not a waste of $500. Every penny was worth it.
Up until a few years ago, older adults were complaining that younger adults were having kids too early. This was reasonable because the media sensationalized some who had kids in high school. Could it be possible that in addition to that, the increasing number of divorce rates, the economic depression and cost of living, (most of which I imagine were not caused by those born after 1980) many younger adults reached the logical conclusion that if they want to provide the best environment to raise their child they should wait? Overpopulation is a serious epidemic not only in this country but across the world and those who suffer the most are the children. I know you might say "well they're not you're children so why do you care?" but some of us can't help it. We just love kids and humans in general too much (despite all the horrible things they've done). Please I implore you to ask why people feel the way they do, rather than saying "this is something I've noticed about you people". I guess as an entertainer you are not trying to help people actually understand things. I apologize if what you said is not actually a genuine sentiment that you feel and you are just trying to spark controversy to get more people to view your content. But if you had asked Chris and Gavin "do you like kids?" and/or "how do you feel about having kids?" it might have resulted in a more productive conversation. I think Mica is much more refined in her ability to express this sentiment than I can as she feels it herself. Personally, having kids is the most exciting and terrifying thought I can imagine. Hopefully you will be able spend some time with her talking about her feelings about not starting a family which I whole heartedly respect even though I don't feel the same way and hope you do as well.
Lulu Chan Exactly what David said. It's common because it affects a LOT of people, and everyone knows not all of his supporters are racist or sexist, but that they didn't care/are validating the things he was saying
Lulu Chan It's not a "card" being pulled when it's your daily life that you're now afraid to be living in. Like Burnie said about Tyler, he's on edge because he doesn't know who actively objects or at the very least doesn't care about him on a basic human level. That's how a lot of minorities, including myself, feel at the moment.
Canadian money is the absolute most satisfying to have. it's made of polymer so its waterproof, it has braile for blind people and it is colour coded so you can identify it at a glance. $5,Blue $10,Purple $20,Green $50,Red $100,Brown. However I do envy the U.S. for having the one dallar bill. Us Canadians are stuck with the Loony ($1) and the Toonie ($2) WTF Canada coins suck.
Colin Macrae All he talks about is deporting all the brown people, he's obviously a misogynist you have to be a fool not to see that. And he's just a maniac.
Difference between Walking Dead and Game of thrones, is that the creator of the source material for walking dead is the main director for the show also. His reasoning is that he didnt want to do the same thing twice, he wanted some things different

Prior to its first participation in the 1982 World Rally Championship season, 200 road-going models were built to comply with Group B regulations.
The walking dead is not even close to catching up with the comics.
Nizzle Prizzle Havent they been averaging multiple issues of the comic per episode recently? with the exception of a few pillar moments like the new season premiere?
Ginganinja3013 not really, we've just been introduced to Ezekiel, which was years ago in the comics.
I remember when they all called Ashley crazy for not having any songs on her phone and now she and everybody else are calling that guy crazy for reading the last paragraph. It comes full circle.
Im here for burnie
i live in australia and i learnt about our money changing from this podcast and then the next day someone brought it up
I read the title as "Million Dollars... But
I love Ashley on the podcast. Shes very easy to listen to and has a good chemistry with everyone 😌
Burnie is turning in to more of a cranky old man than Gus "get off my lawn" Sorola, It's kinda sad considering his future car and space age life style, maybe it's making him old before his time.
1:01:00 - That gif's from Arrested Development...
Inb4 they mention that later, but I'm not there yet.
Of course not, that would make too much sense!
Voting for Trump wasn't a vote for sexism/racism. I get why people think that, but I can promise you not everyone voting for Trump is Racist/Sexist.
DDnufcGamer Of course not everyone who voted for Trump is racist/sexist, but Trump's racism and sexism weren't deal breakers for those people.
I think the best way to put it is that not all Trump voters are bigots, but they don't seem to have a problem with a bigot leading the country.
DDnufcGamer Just people who aren't opposed to racism and sexism.
Wow that guy is from Barrhaven! I'm in Barrhaven rn :p
They did make $500 bills in the 1800s I think.
Dude Leonard and 1,000$ bills, my grade school teacher showed out class one, interesting stuff
largest ever made was a $100,000 bill
Absolutely love seeing Ashley on the show
Canadian money is the absolute most satisfying to have. it's made of polymer so its waterproof, it has braile for blind people and it is colour coded so you can identify it at a glance. $5,Blue $10,Purple $20,Green $50,Red $100,Brown. However I do envy the U.S. for having the one dallar bill. Us Canadians are stuck with the Loony ($1) and the Toonie ($2) WTF Canada coins suck.
Please more of Ashley, one of my favourite podcasts in a long ass time
Man minimum wage where I live is $12.20 an hour.
Is rent really expensive there?
For a 2 bedroom it ranges from $570 to $1,200. Downtown where i live is really expensive.

Rage quit: Raising a Child
lol that gif at 1:01:05 is from Arrested Development!
I love when burnie yells at me❤️
lol - just realised the video resolution is great compared to old podcasts.
This podcast was guilty of having the same bias as the media. Completely dismissing trump and ultimately leading to him gaining more support.
Colin Macrae Except it was after the election smartass.
The Brennan They've talked about him in many previous podcasts smartass
Well it turns out that racists are the only people who go to the polls these days
Justin and they all ignorantly dismissed him. If you honestly think trump is a racist your a fool.
Lets be honest though... When is Burnie not yelling at millennials
