It's so clear here why Bon Jovi was so huge - a handsome front man with enough ego to use his own name but with enough talent and vocal dexterity to succeed in any genre of modern music plus some really melodic tunes and a great flair for songwriting with a partner who probably grew up wanting to be a Keef or a Page but probably both and so had enough love of the sounds he can get from his guitar to make it the bedrock upon which their sound is founded on.
The stricht disciplined and regulated youth in Japan really need their "Runaway" Even if it only is for one day. And Bon Jovi deliver that break we all need. In Denmark where everything is shit bruwn mud and molden green most time of the year i need to dream about transcontinental highways across of the sunny part of the USA. In fact most of us usually need the time to dream once in a while.

Sambora was the OG of the Kahler tremolo system. He had them on literally every Gibson style guitar under the sun. He loved the harmonic G dive bomb and definitely made the Kahler an integral part of his riffs and lead work. I wonder what became of the Explorer and Les Paul Custom in this video. I was shocked and upset to see that he sold the Rod Scheopfer Custom Les Paul that he recorded some of Farenheit, all of Slippery and a lot of New Jersey with. Hard to believe a guy with all his wealth would sell off such a prized and important possession.

The performance is incredible, musically. They were young, hungry and aggressive. Yeah, the outfits and hair were over the top, but so was everything at that time. I much prefer this rendition of Bon Jovi to the love songs and popBon Jovi of the 90s and beyond.
No mention of the fans strategically placed to constantly blow in Jon's face regardless to his stage location? I honestly prefer this & the 7800° F Bon Jovi!
They were a little known band at the time and very few people paid any attention, as is so often with warm up acts. It took several months, but eventually they showed us! 😂

他にアンヴィル、スコーピオンズ、マイケルシェンカーグループ、ホワイトスネークで超豪華。昼から夜の9時ごろまでかかり、晴れてクソ暑かった。演奏が終わった面々が3塁側の上部からMSGやホワイトスネークを見ていた思い出がある。
