I really believe that in the original, when Alastor says "It's a little funny, you could almost call me... daaaaaaad", he should have said "Daaaaddyyyyyyyy".
It feels more insulting (which is what he's trying to do) and it would rhyme with "funny" and "me" from the two previous sentences.
And so here it would be "Moooommyyyyyyyy" and it would have pretty much the same effect as Daddy, I think.
