Would have been more useful to me if I could have take a peek behind the curtain at the actual course. I'm standing at the threshold of buying it. This review did not instill the confidence to actually go through with the purchase. I need to see more (or, even, _something_).
In the end, I decided this course wasn't for me. I've been studying on and off for a couple of years and I felt I already had other resources more appropriate to my level. This review was helpful:

It is for French, not Japanese though, so the video you shared is more suitable.

I'm looking to get this course when Olly puts it on his Black Friday sale. I would like to get all 4 levels. However, I think based on the review it would be wise to learn hiragana and katakana ahead of starting the course.
