Amane I feel is a lose-lose situation. Both verdicts are of extremes which is really bad, especially with Trial 2. Either we forgive her and validate everything she believes in which would make her an extreme danger inside the prison as she's shown that she's willing to harm those who oppose her views as she's attempted to stab Es once and she's actively making threats to another prisoner due to him breaking her doctrine's rules which causes a ripple effect and can really end up hurting other unrelated prisoners in the process. but on the other hand Amane's clearly a broken girl and not forgiving her is pretty cruel considering what she's been through and she has probably one of the more justifiable murders in Milgram (imo) but she wouldn't get to chance to hurt anyone else due restraints that would have more than likely been placed on her. The downside of only covering 5 prisoners and skipping over the Voice Drama, primarly the Trial 2 ones that give way more context and foreshadowing in how certain things may play out, is you don't really get a super great picture of how people would reach certain verdicts
Hello!! Thank you for watching the stream!! Amane is definitely a broken child who's being played by the cult. I find it hard to vote forgiven or unforgiven for her because either way is for sure a lose lose. I would've loved to talk about Amane's voice drama in the stream if we had the time to!! Her case is extremely interesting and is what makes Milgram so fun to dissect. I did allude to a little bit of her voice drama by mentioning that she has a "god" in her head (something that's only mentioned in Amane's voice drama 2) but yeah!! Maybe we need to stream a part 2 haha.
@@LunaryDraws I would love to see a part 2 and I think you did a really good job with the time you had. It's always fun to see others opinions and interprations on Milgram.
2:38:42 That might be amane ‘s parents abusing her,(the white hand on the left side)it is hard to notice but she was being abused a lot and became broken in the end.
According to me all the cases are very interesting if you dig deeper. Also I was hoping we will talk about Kazui because damn do I relate to that man. Lying is considered to be very wrong in our society but if you are in a situation where lying will bring someone happiness and also hide a truth about you that most people will find ugly then why won't you. If both the things you do are considered wrong by society then you will automatically choose the option which will please the others the most and then at some point it becomes your lifestyle. Your lies hurt you but you can't correct them because it's too late so you just continue to lie again and again because now you feel much more comfortable in your lies than in the truth. Also Shidou's case is interesting because harvesting organs of multiple patients just to save his wife, it really makes you question lots of stuff. Is it ok to kill others just because your dear one is in trouble, the importance of family, etc. But it was a fun video to watch in general and I enjoyed the discussion.
Yeah!! I love Kazui as a character, too! Unfortinately, we didn't have time to delve into all the prisoners :( I decided not to pick Kazui because I wanted to go over only the music videos and his were veryyyy vague! A lot of his insight delves into voice drama territory, which we didn't have time for 😅 I do agree that his trial is interesting because in his hope of not disappointing others, he dug hmself further and into lies. The same with Shidou, too! We love the two oldies haha If we ever do part 2 of this stream, I'll be happy to talk about Shidou and Kazui! Thank you for watching!!
You were probably confusing the Milgram experiment with the Stanford Prison experiment- two different experiments, but with very similar set up of prisoners and wardens. Milgram's experiment was more preoccupied with authority, like, what would you do to someone if it was an authority telling you to, while the standford one was more preoccupied with dehumanization- what would you do with us influencing you to not see the prisoners as human? Very similar experiments, so it's not surprising they were confused with each other.
YAAAAY MILGRAM!! Wished more people knew abt it, this is such a great project
Yah
:D

@@LunaryDraws np it was a fun vid regardless
I think Mikoto and kotoko are the "saviors"
Kotoko killed a kidnapper and mikoto's alter has a savior complex
