Finally someone who acknowledges Axl's voice! Thanks for that Taylor. People keep getting stuck on Axl's voice around 2001-2006 or Rock in rio, there he wasn't great. But lately he's been amazing. He really doesn't sound that bad anymore. Too bad some people can't get over that.
GREAT interview. wonderful questions, tone of voice on both parts, respectful, excited ... I really, REALLY dig the pretty reckless, Taylor and her incredible band. they're doing really fuckin well. I think they're going to change the industry. they are already
thumbs up to the interviewer. finally got to hear some new stuff, and not questions being recycled over and over... I'm very siked for TPR's album to drop in March!! :)))
"if Joss Whedon calls and asks me to play a superhero I probably wouldn't say no;" hmm... strange because it says on her Wikipedia filmography she's in negotiations to play Sue Storm in the new Josh Trank F4. ???
It's so true what she says about real rock music. Being a band in London, playing the whole L.A. Rock/ Stoner Rock genre it sucks absolute ass when we get stuck with stupid indie bands. Nothing wrong with it but theres a serious lack of real rock in England. Check out my band if you want /watch?v=Zg402JWAGDk hopefully rock will make a come back and hopefully we can be a part of it :) Peace.
Ryan Tull Very true. In fact Taylor Swift is the only modern-day musician who's known for writing all of her songs. In modern-day song writing, record companies "acquire" songs along with the song WRITING CREDITS to provide to their contracted musicians. The 'acquired' songs are then provided to musicians and the record producer to use, change, edit, add, or delete as they see fit. When the final recording is produced, the song-writing credit goes to the musician or group that recorded it. Its common practice among most pop, rock, and country bands around today. The musician's name appears as the 'writer', nobody questions it, and the 'phantom' writers are unknown. It's completely legal and acceptable since the record company purchases the "writing credits" along with the songs.
6:31 "have you heard Axl Rose sing lately?" Just search "Axl Rose disaster" on youtube. Both parts 1 and 2 give you an idea of how Axl sounds these days. Not good.
God I love her attitude and perspective on all of this!
What an old soul!
And it’s so consistent.
Visiting this from the future.
January 2021
I love how real she is and how she doesn't give a fuck! She's SMOKING while getting interviewed! LOVE HER! :P
one of the best interviews I've seen in a long time.

I am glad she is smiling more, she seems way more comfortable than a year ago.

Her record label buys 90% of her songs and she gets the writing credit.
That's a lie...
