Bacon wrapped street dogs are hella popular in the Bay Area too. They be having a whole fleet of them lined up outside the arena after a concert.
I understand what David is saying, but yo, please don’t judge South Asia based off the videos on social media. There has been a huge surplus of south Asian hate these past few years, especially in Canada because of these videos and among other things. The food in these videos are for people that can’t afford the more sanitary food. Their stomachs are used to the street food. I recommend not getting any street food if you’re born in the west.
If you go to South Asia, you have to go to spots where the middle/upper class go, city wise too. The gap between the rich and poor is huge, not comparable.
One thing I’ll say though, I’ve been to Bangladesh and the way Thailand handles street food and even pollution is amazing. Bio degradable boxes everywhere, not much litter in the streets, etc. Bangladesh and Thailand have the same vegetation, but Thailand takes care of their environment.

At a previous company I used to work for, they used to work with a bunch of India vendors who would fly over to Canada like twice a year. We usually had one Russian dude (senior statistician) fly over whenever they needed to be trained on something or they messed something up. One day he said he's never going back, and it was not recommended any of the women in our company go. So they asked if I wanted to go, and I was young and thought why not? I've never been to India. It was only for 4 days 3 nights. I did not eat any street food but holy fuck, diarrhea the entire fucking trip. The first thing that hits you is the moment you get off the plane at the airport is the stench. Like a wall. They took me to only good restaurants but food poisoning day 1.
I survived my entire trip on some drink called LIMCA, and small bags of chips from the corner store. I got back and my first day back at the office, the Russian coworker comes over to me and asks "You survived. Did you get food poisoning?" and I told him yes on day 1. And he laughed and said me too, every time. I told him I'm never going back and he told me "smart, took me 4 times to learn my lesson. Fucking shit hole place."
That was 12 years ago, and to this day whenever I see or smell Indian food (which I used to eat just fine before), my stomach just tenses up. It's like stomach PTSD man. I can power through it and eat it, but it's a mental game getting that first spoonful in and down. No one could pay me enough to go back, ever.
Yall should do a send foods thailand edition since thailand is always brought up. And then pod about it some weeks later.

Living in Canada rn by I’m from a part of India called Nagaland. You guys should totally visit the NE part of India. It’s nothing like the rest of the country, and from where I’m from, we take our meat VERY seriously so you won’t have to worry about finding non vegetarian food options
On the Eminem topic, Em what some people don’t get is he’s matured a lot from the first album, not only that but he’s been sober for almost 2 decades & he’s still on peoples list as one of the greats he just changes his flows or rhyme patterns a lot because rhyming becomes more difficult especially in this day & age of rap

While i can't speak for Indians, but the rule of thumb is if you're gonna visit south asia, have a plan on what specific spots you're going. You'll see some beautiful things, you'll see some grotesque things.
Bangladesh is rapidly developing thanks to y'all, (s/o to South Korea and Japan). And I'm pretty sure its the same with India, Pakistan, Nepal, etc.
But overall, I do think its good to travel just to have experience and kinda appreciate somethings we truly have it good in the US.
PS: I think youll look good in a kurta pajama.

Ey there's alot of good food in India! The negative stuff gets clicks. You gotta get a local to show you around though, don't just eat whatever XD. Also alot of natural beauty in Goa, Kerala, etc.

There's good clean street food too, just gotta go to the right areas. Plastic gloves, aprons, glass shields so u can see but can't touch, an actual kitchen, some have a small seating area in the back.. Workers are standing UP. Pakistan is a bit cleaner, but both are similar. Stay out the ghetto areas. Eat where the people area ordering are wearing dress shirts.
Go to a Filipino spot and get some Kare Kare 🤌🏽 so goooood
