i grew up in Durnford Street, so I enjoyed seeing that, the Old Boar's Head and Long Street Methodist church, where I was married in 1965. The town centre has changed enormously since I left Middleton.
I believe it was bought by a Chinese consortium a good few years back. There was talk of converting it into a large independent shoppers retail area. A bit like botany Bay in chorley. It was going to be call the red brick or something similar. But nothing as of yet ? Think brexit had something to do with it ??
