Hope you guys like the new style and effects. I really think this video is a good and big next step. I got a lot more interesting stuff coming soon too.
The quality of this production flabbergasts me. I had to go back a few times and do a double take. Well done! Here because I just found an Aero 50 on marketplace for $150, definitely going to pursue it now!
Dude hit it right out of the park about modern scooter design, manafacturers NEED to realize they could make scooters that rides modern but still have that retro-ish flair, from where I live most scooters end up looking pretty much the same and it gets boring real quick. I'm calling it. It is time for them to make COOL scooters again.
We do have some retro like scooters, but mostly just Vespas. I think manufacturers are just too afraid the average person doesn’t want something that can be considered “cute” so instead try to make them look like aggressive sports bikes. I like motorcycles but when a scooter goes for a similar vibe, I just personally find it weird. I’d rather they embrace the cleaner classic and traditional scooter look.
I'm not even kidding when I starting watching the video and saw the editing and production value I assumed it had at least 250k views! Criminally underrated content this was awesome!
No but I will have an MR2 related video up in a couple months. It’s more about MR2s in general than specifically mine, but I think it’ll be really interesting.
Honda Scooters, I get it. :-) I'm 61, and recently bought a 86 Honda Spree, and now own a 84 also. I've had a blast tinkering on these things. I've had both of them apart, and completely gone through them. New seat covers, tires, black wheels. So much fun. Top speed on the 87 is 30mph, and the 84 is 25mph. I got my eyes peeled for an Aero next. :-) Great video by the way....Keep them coming !!!!!!
Thanks and good luck looking for an Aero. They’re a bit harder to come by but they’re worth it. A few 50cc Elites have similar engines to the Aero too. I don’t plan on buying a Spree (cuz I have too many bikes as is) but I’d like to hopefully borrow one for a month to do a video on it. My newest video has all my bikes in it too, may wanna check it out.
Nice to see that you are back. I love more or less all 80's vehicles. I got myself a few weeks ago a Honda Accord Aerodeck from 89 and since 2 Years i have a Honda NH125, very similar to your 50.
I didn’t even realize they made a 125cc of that bike. I’ve seen the 80 a few times but not that one. I am curious how the larger 2 stroke Honda scooters ride since I’m pretty impressed with this 50cc as is.
I know small creators doing this out of a love of craft hate to hear this, but... think about a Patreon or something. Even if you're not aiming to do this full time (hopefully someday you will), you raised a good point that this level of production isn't cheap. Gear, transportation, software licenses, cases of High Life... it all adds up. Set it up as "per creation" instead of "per month" so you don't feel any added pressure to rush videos out. A bunch of us would gladly kick in a couple of bucks per video toward making this at least a break-even venture for you: Those of us who vibe with your channel vibe HARD with it.
I really appreciate you recognizing all that. And tbh I actually did have a patreon when I was previously making videos regularly. It definitely helped. But I closed it when I went on break. I will consider opening it or something similar back up after I can get a regular schedule in, I simply didn’t feel it was right to bring it out again on my first video back in two years.
Thanks it’s something I could use in a lot of future videos for cool effect. Right now I can only get it to really work on more simple shots though, I need to think a bit more on how to get it looking right on shots that involve more camera movement or complex driving like while turning.
WOW. Welcome back man, glad to hear that you got a full time job like that. The video was great. Perfect length, fitting music, surprisingly well incorporated effects and all the footage and the educational value in this one was great. Good luck in you work.
Big thanks. Tbh the biggest hold up on this video was the writing/planning and the music. I really really spent a lot of time trying to trim it down to be as short as possible but still have all the info I wanted. Plus tryna find a way to tell it in an interesting way. I want my videos to be short around 5-6 mins but be densely packed with style. Music took a while just cuz it’s not my strong suit, but after I get a few new songs I can reuse them. It’s funny tho, after I uploaded, UA-cam reminded me I can’t get any mid roll ad revenue cuz my video is too short (under 8 mins) lol. Oh well, I didn’t make much anyways.
Thanks man, I have a few other videos filmed and ready for editing that are gonna be like this too. I don’t think I have it fully dialed in here yet but I do wanna expand and experiment with this further. I just want my videos here on out to focus on style, fun, and creativity. This is sort of a step forward in that.
@ dude I enjoy them more than you can believe even had to send it to a friend!! I remember finding your channel randomly when I was on vacation it was the midship tetra one and that literally made me want a old jdm car not like a gtr or anything but like a hatchback accord from the 80s and also you made me really really like cinematography!! keep up the great work brother cant wait to see what you have in stored!
Really appreciate it man, Midship Retra was also another turning point for me. Hope you find the upcoming videos just as cool. Aiming for one a month as of now
What a good video I love scooters especially Aeros I own 7 scooters 1 2014 zuma (looking to sell to get a Honda elite 80) 1 1983 Aero 80 and 1 1987 aero 50 and 2 1985 aero 50 and 1 1983 aero 50 and a 1992 Honda elite sr
Ok that’s pretty sick. Not anything close but I almost got a Honda Elite with a pop up headlight. But the seller flaked out and was busy the day I was going to pick it up.
The helmet is a LS2 bagger off Amazon. I added a visor I also got off Amazon. The brand is Wancar but I had to modify it just a bit to make it flip down further. Just snapped the two little stopper tabs on it is all.
Gonna be looking at a 1987 Honda aero 50 with 5,600 miles on it, owner said its working smooth as butter and well maintained, you think itd be worth the purchase around $1400?
Depends on your area but maybe a bit high. Though they are pretty rare so tbh I’d go for it if it has the title, runs right, and you’re genuinely interested. Mine was $1100 with 3500 miles and had some light but tasteful mods like the exhaust. But one panel had some pretty heavy scuffs that were covered with the black vinyl you see on mine. Only real issue with it. I think $1000-1200 is about right on average imo.
@RetraCast True it does feels like he's asking a bit much but yeah the fact that he does have a title for it and that he's been maintaining it(twas what he said) I'm not feeling too bad about spending the 1400 for it. Just wanted to get your opinion on this, feels good to finally get a chance to get my hands on one.
The only thing better then riding a scooter is smoking crack before and during the ride. And the only scooter better then a Honda is a scooter built by while smoking crack.
I wanna do a build but I’m thinking I’ll just do the under cowl and headlight hood. Along with paint and decals I’ve grown attached to the founder Aero/Fullmark look

For $150 you can’t really go wrong. Good luck with it

Huge appreciation, we’ll get there one day
man you outdid yourself on this one! insane quality!
Thanks, it’s a big step for my style. The next videos will build more on it
Bro's back after ONE whole year.
Realistically it’s more like 2 years. But the next video should be out a bit quicker this time.
Is it gonna be about the mr2?
No but I will have an MR2 related video up in a couple months. It’s more about MR2s in general than specifically mine, but I think it’ll be really interesting.
Genuinely my favorite person on UA-cam. Glad you are back!
I appreciate that. I hope to exceed your expectations with this new round of videos

just look up your car...holy sh it looks awesome(like a elongated eg6^^), if Honda make this car today, enthusiasts would lose their minds
@@hathaway.1166 Yes, they did really cool stuff back then. But i´m not a fan of the "new" Hondas, so everything starting from 2000 or so.
loved it. you capture its feeling perfectly
Incredible video
Welcome back, can’t wait to watch all your new projects!

Hahaha, I have a couple videos planned for it but they’re a bit further on the queue for now
Great video
Good job man
You got a sub as soon as you said “I still stand by the crackhead bit” 😂😂
Great video! Love from Holland with my Yamaha Razz 50
I’ve seen a couple of those for sale but haven’t ridden one. Would be cool to do a review and comparison.
UNDERRATED VID
Hell yeah! Great video reminds me alittle FortNine
I haven’t watched them in a while but when I first got into riding I was super into them. They def put out quality stuff
Dang quite the collection. For scooters I just have my Aero and a 1981 Honda Cub / Passport. I want to get a 2nd Aero to do modified build though
Yey I got the same one last year. Sadly stopped running after 2 weeks.
Dang what happened? Is it fixable or just completely dead?
No idea just turned off at a red light. Has spark, gets fuel but doesnt want to start.
Likely just dirty carb from my guess. Pretty common, especially if it sat for a while at some point or had old gas. Would just need an easy clean.
First 3sec. Subscribed
i want one gimme now :) however i do own a 1986 Suzuki katana 750 with a pop up headlight so hmmm
Ok that’s pretty sick. Not anything close but I almost got a Honda Elite with a pop up headlight. But the seller flaked out and was busy the day I was going to pick it up.
Yooo can you drop where you got that helmet? Please and thank you. Also sweet video editing, dope affff
