Hi mogwai, i made a deck 2 week ago and got huge wins with it. its also really cool so here is the decklist if you wanna try yourself! 🦆🪼🦆🪼🦆 2xpsyduck🦆 2xGolduck🦆 2xTentacool🪼 2xTentacruel🪼 2xFarfetch🌱 1x xspeed 2x potion 2x pokeball 2x proffesors research 1x misty 1x giovanni 1x sabrina This deck is called Angry Duck! 🦆It slashes every meta deck like nothing, charmender, mewtwo, pikachu! If you go second, you just farfetch them to death, or you go first: no problem! It means faster Psyduck and tentacool evolution to hit harder better stronger. The reason tentacruel is the best because you can poison the big cannons like moltres, Lapras, articuno, mewtwo. While opponents suffer from poison, you can pivot golduck to finish him off. Every pokemon has low retreat cost in this deck so you can pivot like crazy while dealing consistent damage every turn. Also the reason 1x misty is simple: this deck just need 1x water energy from misty. So we dont fully depend on misty like articuno, its just a tempo card for us. Angry Duck! is a supercool consept i made, want to share and i hope you try it. You will see how OP it is if you give it a shot! 🦆🪼🦆🪼🦆 Deck link:pocket.untapped.gg/en/decks/872a00a5-165b-4ebf-9c80-a2662d3b096a
I think this game actually has a lot of potential long term as a TCG. A lot of people dismiss this game as being too simple, but there are already many interesting strategies you can pull off with the first set. And what’s to stop them from introducing new modes in the future with more bench depth, maybe even 2 active Pokémon at once. A lot of interesting things they can do with this gameplay format. I tell people all the time that if Hearthstone can survive as long as it has despite also being very easy to learn and play, then any TCG can. Future is bright with this game, 2 of my co workers already picked it up and they aren’t even Pokémon fans.
@@thomasdelafilolie2779 same here, but i stopped playing yugioh because it got too complex. once pendulums hit the game i was out. xyz was the furthest i was willing to go, simple enough to keep my old cards in my deck but some of those cards needed a magnifying glass to read the several paragraphs of text in the 1/3rd of the card it was on. it's gotten worse since then. this game is so much easier to get into and it's not burning a hole in my wallet. i can get my dopamine rush of opening packs without breaking the bank
The deckbuikding is more complex than I gave it credit for. But the gameplay is too simple. You cant play the same deck 100 times and not end up just doing the same exact thing everygame. The only variance in results comes from your first hand draw (cuz no mulligans) and coin flips. Im having fun with it now, but as soon as the meta (due to new expansions) outruns what decks I can build as a free to play, im probably done.
I really liked this deck the first time around, never thought of adding Aerodactyl to it I thought it would be too many fossils to find. I just have to get my second Aerodactyl and will definitely try this new version
Hey MegaMogwai! Love your content, and I would LOVE to see a Fearow deck! Maybe with Persian or Pidgeot!! Anything you put out is gas either way though, and thank you again for such great videos!
I used the original version of this deck pretty often and I really enjoy it when I play it out in battle. I’m hoping this version will live up to the original’s legacy and not fight finding my fossils all day
I tried to build Melmetal/Butterfree. It's probably just worse than the Exeggutor version, but it was an interesting idea imo. My build runs mono-steel and just uses the Butterfree line as a healing engine. The damage is more consistent than the egg monster though, so that's a plus.
did you just run metal energy or did you try to dual energy? i wanna test out the theory but i don't have 2 melmetals yet, but using amass with dual energy should be able to get you the 3 metal energies (unless you low roll hard and only get grass. in which case thats usually a quick concede bc you get massively outpaced) at least then that makes butterfree a little more useful if you get sabrina'd, plus erikas get a lot more value when you're swinging with butterfree
@@mac_sour I don't like keeping Meltan out in the open that long- 60 health dies pretty fast and Butterfree just won't evolve in time. It's not really worth running until you get the second Melmetal imo.
Hi! I'm fairly new to Pokemon TCG. I've been running a few of your decks, and I have to say that a lot of them are absolutely diabolical. Been getting some sweet wins. My first deck was built around my favorite pokemon, Arcanine. He was roasting everyone! Just saying thanks for the good deck ideas!
Do I not know how to count. I think he had only 19 cards in this deck lol 1:03. Not being negative when I say this. I love your vids you break everything down logically and you make it fun to watch.
Personally, I think that with such a small card pool to choose from, the EX should be limited to one copy as opposed to two copies per deck, but that's just me.
Just played a version of this deck with rhydon instead of aerodactyl and, hear me out, rhydon is better golem. Less damage than golem, but being a stage 1 without recoil damage can finish what onix can't in the late game. I do think kabutops and aerodactyl takes up a lot of deck real estate with all the fossils. Maybe I'm just not lucky enough with aerodactyl ;)
@@yann_ma yeah but would you rather use golem or onix? i think onix is the better play personally, you can only use brock on golem when he's stage 2 but you can use brock on onix turn 1. i haven't played with golem yet though so i couldn't tell you
@@mac_sour onix is really good early game, as it allows for some early kos and it is a good tank, but the truth of the matter is you need a wincon late game. in a brock deck you’ll most likely run 2 brocks, but maybe because of draws u wont be able to get that brock to set up onix in the first 2 turns, or you might prefer to use a proffessors reaserch early game. also u might only wnat to set up one onix and keep the last brock for golem. rhydon also requires 4 energy so even without the brock u need the same amount of energies. maybe the stage 2 is a bit unreliable, but I think rhydon isnt as good to get those kos on meta decks (mainly mewtwo or arcanine/dragonite with giovanni). the idea would be to get an early ko with onix and then knock out a pokemon with onix and then ko an ex with golem. then again, i havent played either (im ftp and i dont have golem, im just theorizing) so take it with a grain of salt. i just feel 2 shotting most big mons with rhydon isnt as likely and your rhydon will get kod in between
I had alot of fun with 2 snorlax 2 butterfree and 1 hypno actually using snorlax to attack while the bench put in work to keep opponents asleep and snorlax healthy
I’ve been trying out the first Onix build and didn’t have much luck, I ended up adding kangaskahn, seems to have helped a little. I’m down to try aerodactyl and see how that plays out.
i combined onix with the hitmonlee/hitmonchan build i saw him using earlier, it isn't the most OP deck in the world but i'm getting some good wins at least. you have to draw well though or you just get giga rolled by a pika or mewtwo deck
Did this but uses dugtrio instead of aerodactyl. It was basically just me messing around with different abilities. I got a 4 or 5 win streak with it but it really only works with lucky af top deck. This version is definitely better.
@mac_sour Yes, but make it better. Using Brock's Rental deck as an example, replace diglett, dugtrio, hitmonlee, hitmonchan, and one Professor Oak with dome fossils, kabuto, kabutops, and one more Brock card.
