Pretty sure Janja only causes problems for the Pridelands when he tries to get food from a place that actually has it so his clan won't starve. If they were in his situation, I'm sure they would do the same.
Maybe it's right far a canon universe (but I'm not sure about it), but for my universe it isn't true. Hyenas kill a lot, much more than they need to feed themselves. They kill just because they like killing. If lions were in their situation, then they wouldn't be expelled, simply for lack of reasons for this.

Given that the hyenas tormented The pride lands and the last remaining members of his family for so many years after he left his home and helped the lion who had killed his father and that janja helped bring that lion back kind of makes sense why he didn't want to believe janja in the lion guard season 3 and why he's hesitant here about trusting a hyena
