“Sae Will We Yet,” historically sung in the Scots language, is thought to have been written by Walter Watson, a weaver in the town of Kirkintilloch. The song was first published in “The Book of Scottish Song” in 1843.
The song’s invocation to remember and rejoice in community, and to look towards better times deeply reverberated with us this holiday season. We can’t wait to sit around a fire again with our loved ones and friends and make music and song to our heart’s content!
Many thanks to Rebecca Branson Jones, Amy Lynch and Jack Ross for their help in making this video possible!
