Thank you for the video! We also have the Doohan iTank with 45km/h, and the variante with two batteries, for more range. They are very powerful and it's a lot of fun to drive with them.
My iTank is being delivered tomorrow 3-3 and really looking forward to getting it. In Oregon electric scooters 1000w or less and not able to go over 24mph don't require registration or insurance. This fits in 1st gear and close in 2nd so I am tempted to drive without. Comments?
Hi, so effectively you ride it like a pedal cycle? If you ride on the road insurance will always be a good idea. Please let us know at ScooterLab.UK how you get on with your iTank.
I have registred this as "class-2" moped here in Sweden, max speed 25km/h, but i ride on bicycle-lanes! - no problems with any "harassment"! - i am allowed to ride on roadways too, but not motorways, (highways) - my only "complaint" is a bit short batterylife, i get around 40km from one battery, and i always carry a spare, in the xtra battery compartment - greetings, Levi
does it have a charge port for the electric parking spaces that let you charge your vehicle ? like a round type of connection sainsburys have them in there car parks and a few other places, just to see if it can be charged when out and about in the bays they provide ?
@@ScooterLabUK Cheers mate thank you for the reply, I really want one, there is some on amazon but I think there from Poland or somewhere. Can I ask what do you think it would be like getting replacement parts then? if there is no UK stocker, then parts must be a pain for local garages to fix this bike. I really do want one though they look fab, perfect for me for just around town where I live. Are there any other bikes similar to this you could recommend with 3 wheels? 125cc and under?
@@dollygaming1043 like you say, spares will be an issue. Although you don’t have to replace much on an electric scooter as a rule. I’d go for a Yamaha Tricity though if I wanted a 125 3-wheeler.
wish I could find some one who sells the spare battery, been online and either no stock or cannot post because not allowed to go airmail.??does any one know where to buy spare battery ,dealer here only has the bikes and 1 battery for each in Philippines.does any one know where I can get another battery, any where in the world and I will have to send it sea frieght.!
in Germany Amazon.de offers the cooter with a Lithium-Battery-Pack of 16Ah for 3.311,60 €..but other dealers offer it for less (ca.€ 2500,00) with a Lithium-Battery-Pack of 26 Ah. very confusing.
How can you make it go faster? More volts & a higher amp battery. But the battery compartment is specifically sized for the single battery fitted, so modification wouldn't be possible. The rear hub electric motor is rated at 1500 watts: 2 HP @ 60 volts, so it is specifically powerful enough to achieve its 45km (27 mph) top speed to conform with moped specifications by law. At 60 volts & 26 amps, the battery can provide 1560 watts of power to the motor, so that's its design limit. The speed restriction makes sense though if you think about it. A petrol moped can be pushed to the limit, & when it runs low on fuel, it takes less than a minute to refill it. With an electric, if you employ full speed & run low on charge, - even close to a power point, you are stranded for 6 or 7 hours to recharge. The point of these electric vehicles, is short distance commuter or leisure riding for low cost. A full charge & 30 miles at full speed costs 25 pence. More speed without a multi unit battery pack would bring the range down to impractical levels. I think it is a good idea. If you have a 5 mile round trip to work & back 5 days a week, you could do all 25 miles at full speed for 25 pence, charging the battery once a week.
dont mod it in any way, max speed from factory is 45km/h, it will be enough for you, or buy a motorcycle if you want to go faster, i have a Goodyear, registered as "class-2" moped here in Sweden, then it is max 25km/h, class-1 requires a driverslicense, (EU-license) here in Sweden, insurance is a must
im so tire of this bs. 45 km h is fucking dangerous for the driver and the traffic. these vehicles class needs to be above 55 km h. please europe change this moped role

Unfortunately the electric scooters run off a conventional charger so the car ones can’t be used.
