I find it heartening to see the fans take Peter Capaldi to their bosom, even before the series has started. Pish-and-tish to all the nay-sayers who claimed that after the youthful vigour and good looks of David Tennant and Matt Smith the fans would reject an older Doctor. Whovians the world over are a deeper lot than that!
So at first I wasn't a fan of Capaldi as The Doctor...but after this, I'm 100% on board. I love that by believing The Doctor was the person out there that was on your side no matter what was happening to you, then effectively becoming The Doctor, he understands that now he IS that person for those kids who may feel the way he felt :) that makes me so unbelievably happy to have him as our Doctor.
11:30 this was really good, I'm literally crying. One of the good reasons to love Peter Capaldi

This thing about the doctor being dangerous when alone is so true. The Waters of Mars is the episode where he scared me the most. He could be a villain. A very good one, too. But then no more universe, anyway
WOW! My first doctor was Christopher Eccleston so I have no idea who the chumblies are lol! Peter is going to be remembered as a great doctor plus he's a Doctor Who fan. This is probably a dream come true for him!!! I can't wait for the first episode to air. *school girl giggle* I wonder if he cried a little when he was offered the part. I know I would have!
Beginning to sound like a broken record here but this never really gets tired - Peter looks amazingly sharp and Jenna looks amazingly beautiful!!! As The Doctor and Clara they are going to make for a wonderful TARDIS team and they'll do Doctor Who and us fans - that is the really DEDICATED fans that stick with the show through thick and thin and cast change upon cast change - extremely proud!!!! Next stop for Peter and Jenna - United Kingdom!!!! Btw, I loved the Chumblies answer and OMG what a speech from Mr. Capaldi!!!! Just so moving!!!! #dwworldtour #doctorwho #series8 #august23 #bbc1 #petercapaldi #jennacoleman
i was there and it was one of the best experiences of my entire life. i'm so lucky! they are amazing, such lovely people... capaldi is such a character!!! love the show with the strength of two hearts.. brilliant, fantastic!!! thanks bbc for bringing them, it was really really amazing
vc é foda cara, queria ter idooooo, mas na época tinha 11 anos e nem sou do rio kkkkk aiai, espero um dia haver de novo uma world tour ou terei eu mesma que ir no reino unido encontrar o doctor :'D
There are posts where people have figured some of it out, but in all honesty most of it doesn't make sense. The one at 4:25 says: tattis thtating ("tardis thrashing", if you add in some dots) and the one at 10:31 says: wwete theatets sit ( "what a theater's sir", at a stretch, if you replace the "e"s with "a"s and split the first word in two. Not forgetting the non existent dots. I wouldn't stress over it too much, the person who wrote it clearly has no idea what they are doing. A ten year old fan could do a better job. There's no point in writing it out if nobody can actually translate it. :/
I'm using Sherman's gallifreyan alphabet, you start from the bottom word, bottom letter, then go anticlockwise. If you have 1< sentence, you go from left to right, up to down, and punctuation is on the inner circle of the 'sentence' circle.
I've managed to translate the gallifreyan symbols : 4:25 - TARDIS THRASHING 10:31 - WHAT A THEATER'S SIR There are maybe some mistakes, there is a bit of interpretaion because some dots are missing :p ( i don't know what these mean though)
I wouldn't be so hard on yourself, whoever wrote these symbols obviously had no idea what they were doing, most of it is more confusing than it needs to be. For example: on the word on the second sentence you can't tell which semicircle one of the lines is coming from. In a post above this someone found out that one of the sentences in a previous video said: deep breath.
I have to give you credit though, you say some dots were missing? The whole sentence was structured incorrectly, half the words didn't even have the right letters in them. You, good sir, have done an excellent job at translating something completely untranslatable.
I had some classmates from Brazil who speak really well English, but I couldn't believe that every fans down there in the video were totally understanding everything they're talking about without real-time interpretation. I've been living in a English-speaking country for more than one year and I could still miss some tiny little details.
It's weird that every single interviewer made the exact same questions in all of the cities. Wish they would have picked up the most interesting ones from the fans, no the usual “whats your favorite... How do you feel about the change of actor...”. Ugh.
I love how a lot of the crowd didn't get the chumblies joke but Moffat just laughed his head off XD
The Chumblies are from the William Hartnell story Galaxy 4.
Love it how Peter is THAT big of a fan!
I think part of the reason he said that was to screw with the new fans. XD

A brilliant speech from Peter at the end. Came straight from the heart.

anyone else notice the hidden Gallifreyan symbols in all these videos? there has been these things in every video - there's one at 4:25 here
I think they join up to create one whole message, there are Gallifreyan dictionaries over the web so I'd look it up :)

are you using the phonetic alphabet though? I heard it's like the phonetic alphabet but read like Hebrew where vowels are tied to other letters...
I'm using Sherman's gallifreyan alphabet, you start from the bottom word, bottom letter, then go anticlockwise. If you have 1< sentence, you go from left to right, up to down, and punctuation is on the inner circle of the 'sentence' circle.
ah, yes I see now
Me and my boyfriend from 10:53 to 10:57 haha loved it
I've managed to translate the gallifreyan symbols :
4:25 - TARDIS THRASHING
10:31 - WHAT A THEATER'S SIR
There are maybe some mistakes, there is a bit of interpretaion because some dots are missing :p

Well for the first sentence, I think it's most likely "Tardis Crashing" . But you're right , for the second sentence, i'm just interpreting.
I have to give you credit though, you say some dots were missing? The whole sentence was structured incorrectly, half the words didn't even have the right letters in them. You, good sir, have done an excellent job at translating something completely untranslatable.
Oh thank you, I suppose :-)
I love the world tour

Next time go to New Zealand
Jenna. Wow.
Hats off to the editing team for splicing in the Gallifreyan. I wish I knew what they were saying! ;)
It's weird that every single interviewer made the exact same questions in all of the cities. Wish they would have picked up the most interesting ones from the fans, no the usual “whats your favorite... How do you feel about the change of actor...”. Ugh.
