As an American I can admit everyone knew who Jin was even tho he was Chinese because he signed to Ruff Ryders which was very popular at the time.. he also use to participate in underground street rap battles for cash prizes out here in America
Jin's honesty and sincerity has never changed, but have in fact grown as he's matured. I'll never forget my middle school years when I would leave him messages on MySpace and look forward to his responses when I got home from school.
Jin is intelligent and a humble individual. Grew up in the streets of the east coast. I feel what's he's talking about. Life goes in chapters. younger = you are your the product of your environment, as you age = you find yourself, you reflect and you become more comfortable in your own skin but you always know where you came from. Good to know Jin is back or giving back in knowledge. Jin you should have your own talk show my brotha. Love your insights. A lot of youth can learn from you.
This guy deserved to be bigger than he was! I saw him signing autographs at a mall in Daly City outside of SF. Cool dude. He’ll always be a legend with any true hip hop head born before 1985 !
Can't help to watch it one more time. MC Jin was so good at interviews he always give out this dynamic, pleasant vibe to the audience, awesome flow both in rap and talk show, gotta love this guy
He should've been one the rap Gods. His freestyle on TV is REAL freestyle, if you've ever watched Drake or even Kanye 'freestyling' on TV. But life once put him down. He became a family man, a jokester, a dad. Nothing wrong about those, I'm just thinking about all that artist's pride that he's lost. May Jin finds that back.
Terrible interviewer. She just kept interrupting him when things are getting good. Esp around the 12:00 mark when he was going to talk about why the defeats were so important to his personal growth.
My God, that is a New York accent. I had no idea China had a hip-hop culture until I watched TCM's (The Company Man) recent video on the condemnations against PG One.
cursing is the one and only one effective way to express your drastic emotion.... You really have to search DLLM and cantonese to know the most powerful cursing in the world.
Jin was a super underrated rapper especially battle rap, I was surprised he didn't make bigger wave's in the states, I think rough rider really dropped the ball when it came to promoting him, shame !!!!
there is a subtle switch in the way he talked here through the video... from a more cantonese style to a more american style. i guess they talked in chinese b4 recording
Being Chinese was responsible for both his rise and his "fall" he became famous because he was an Asian kid that could spit. Freestyle battling is about finding a nerve and he forgot about that and let the racial taunts get to him. As for the cursing it depends on the environment the artist grew up in. Some artists grew up in really tense environments and it's reflected in their music.
Who is here after looking at Culture 71 UA-cam channel? and Kool DJ Phase UA-cam Channel? ...All about the creation of hip hop in Bronx, NY by Black American Culture? Mainstream media got us all messed up with false information. Thank you Black American Culture
thats a good thing. chinese culture has been eroded by western popular culture. if this continues, there wont be any chinese culture left. china should expand on its kuaiban art
Cultural appropriation: u extract the struggle and make light of trends you're not personally a part of. And then when you're rejected u can always go back to your native space
The host just did a writedown copied from wikepedia when itnroducing MC Jin, not very creative, since it's an interview of a freestyler, pls do sth off the dome Yo
MC jin overly simplified things. It is true that hip hop is an American culture. China does not have that kind of culture, it won't get the same kind of popularity like in America.
Blah blah blah....there was a time where you were the best battler in the world. You murked everyone in front of you. Then you hit a road block where you lost to Serius Jones, and Iron Solomon and instead of taking it like a man, you tucked your tail in between your legs and went to Asia doing low budget TVB crap and at the same time "found god" or Jesus or whatever nonsense you continue to spit to this day. There was a time where I believed you would destroy Dizaster, but that time has gone with the wind because of the almighty "god"
1 John 2:15-17 "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions-is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever."
Jin is the right guy to explain the hip-hop culture in this news programme. He is an intelligent and mature man.
As an American I can admit everyone knew who Jin was even tho he was Chinese because he signed to Ruff Ryders which was very popular at the time.. he also use to participate in underground street rap battles for cash prizes out here in America
I remember him from the BET Freestyle Battles.
Jin's honesty and sincerity has never changed, but have in fact grown as he's matured. I'll never forget my middle school years when I would leave him messages on MySpace and look forward to his responses when I got home from school.
I have been a big fan of Jin since 2002. I smiled throughout this entire interview. I love this guy

@@cuteboysss Still a fan. Watching his rap battles, when I was a kid, are still my favorites.
Can't help to watch it one more time. MC Jin was so good at interviews he always give out this dynamic, pleasant vibe to the audience, awesome flow both in rap and talk show, gotta love this guy

The host is not even at the same level as Jin. So naive. So fake. So superficial. Jin is a philosopher and inspiring.
Like him or not, he's a legend an opened many doors.
He has an excellent attitude and sets a great example for young aspiring Chinese hip hop artists.
Jin displayed some really indepth thinking!
Such a great answer at 15:35
Terrible interviewer. She just kept interrupting him when things are getting good. Esp around the 12:00 mark when he was going to talk about why the defeats were so important to his personal growth.
A real chill dude for sure
The broadcaster is British while MC Jin is American
She's not British. She's just a Chinese with a British accent.
great interview! and I like Liu Xin's "my man" tag at the end.
he is so humble and lovable.
Mc Jin is so humble, he is a great rapper!!! but Liu Xin kept interrupting him, that was not what i expected.
Great interview... :)
OMG he’s so charming!!!
Intelligent and humble man. Support from Canada
Coolest ever interview of the coolest guest at CGTN
I met Jin in 2004 at hot import nights in Dallas Texas after his performance..cool guy man
see that real hip hop handshake at the end that naturally came out when he's rapping
My God, that is a New York accent. I had no idea China had a hip-hop culture until I watched TCM's (The Company Man) recent video on the condemnations against PG One.
thats not an ny accent. jin didnt go to ny til he was a grown man. hes from miami
Awesome awesome
Now If Jin was signed to Aftermath instead he could have done way better and been The Yellow Eminem
我靠这个主持人都不理解欧阳靖在说什么。。。还总是打断他。。
The point with me Liuxin. I love the last bar😎

And he's really intelligent!
Testimony MC Jin
I can't believe they used dope and kick ass in such a serious, formal interview
there is a subtle switch in the way he talked here through the video... from a more cantonese style to a more american style. i guess they talked in chinese b4 recording
Canto rap is better than Mandarin imo

I don’t understand why the host thinks cursing is an issue... and why does he have to defend that? People curse and that’s it. Why not
他应该代替吴亦凡。。。哈哈哈
🕺🏾I'm Not Even Gonna Front Jin Did Tear Cats Up On 106&Park(No Question😎)
Ayyy jimmy!!!
jin got bars for days. fuck the naysayers outhere. as fellow newyorker. we got ya back. baby.
dope~
Might I say Jin is a cutie? 😊
The lady doesn't have the language level required to be that program's anchor.
she's a pro news anchor, maybe she's not so versed in hiphop, but she professional, and she did a great job.
That freestyle at the end!!
Too bad hip hop is banned on chinese tv, just when its about to get big
thats a good thing. chinese culture has been eroded by western popular culture. if this continues, there wont be any chinese culture left. china should expand on its kuaiban art

No one wins everything. He's grown not only emotionally but spiritually. May God come and touch you the way he did Jin.
You are in my prayers! 🙏🏾
