The lack of wear to the equipment could be explained away because this trooper was part of Moff Gideon army and they were well supplied and clean unlike the remnant trooper.
The reason why it looks so clean is because it was still part of a military cell of the empire that still operated as it always did: under the command of a Governor - or in this case, a Moff - and got access to the same pristine facilities it always did. Besides the core Empire and capital ships, the Empire had several cells and command posts scattered through the Outer Rim. The dirtier, yellowed out Stormtroopers accompanying the Client in Nevarro were different. They seem to be of the mercenary / independent contractor variety, as their armor was unkempt and damaged.
after collecting the black series figures for the past few years i decided to take the leap and bought one of these troopers. Thanks for the review its awesome. also i think that the reason he's so clean is because moff gideons troopers always looked to have the best, most up to date gear.
I just got one, this is my first hot toys figure and I love it. It has great detail and definitely looks great on my shelf. But I really would have liked some type of wash or more weathering done on the figure. I feel like for the price we should have an amazing figure, but in reality we just got a good figure.
Another great video. Thanks. The minimal weathering doesn't bother me - the regular stormtroopers do not have much, either. I was feeling 1:6 scale withdrawal last night, so watched your $10,000 and $20,000 collection videos again - it's always great to see a figure in someone's collection, rather than the publicity photos put out by the manufacturer. It's my birthday this week, and just found out this figure and the Mandalorian are arriving tomorrow. Mythos Boba Fett was just dropped off by UPS. And I have two more figures arriving Wednesday (one of them is Hot Toys' Obi Wan Kenobi A New Hope). I'm so excited! I just can't hide it! I'm about to lose control, and I think I like it!
It would be awesome if you did an episode on displays, what you did. And what vendors/products you use. I am in the process of planning my Star Wars displays and it would be great how you did yours and what vendors you use. Thanks!
Ok...this video just pushed me to order him. I maybe be the minority but I like all my stormtroopers to be clean and shiny. Imagine how much milking they could do issuing both variants
I’ve got this and it’s convinced me to drop Mandalorian troopers from my collection. It’s a cash grab from Disney and Hot Toys and the rogue one armour makes them look stumpy
Just my opinion but an unweathered figure looks like a toy. A weathered figure looks like a serious collectible. Great review though fella. Looking forward to the next one...
The weathering has more to do with the actual character design and not on Hot Toys end, it's accurate to the show after all. Not really a fan of the design overall personally anyway, prefer the Battlefront (2015) Shock Trooper design.
Hey Ryan, fellow youtuber here. Been watching your channel & subscribe for awhile now. I want to get a hot toy from Star Wars as my FIRST hot toy. What should I get? By the way, GREAT vids 👍. You the man brother 🙏 .
Yeah, it feels kinda weird when they give you toy accessories for your Hot Toys...derp face. They missed the mark on this one however, all that gear just looks like a black molded piece of plastic. For the price tag, everything should be done to the next level.

Naw these troopers are from a Moff that clearly is still under control of his Imperial fleet. They should be cleaner. Great video man :)
agreed
Thanks for the review, Ryan! It would indeed be awesome to have an overview of your Army. Cheers!
I'll get right to it!
Room / trooper collection tour is a must buddy!
coming soon

My Incinerator Trooper arrives this Tuesday. So excited!
Flame effects are the best part. Need to rig a lite inside

@jedahPatrol...a video on all your stormtroopers would be awesome !!
I don’t think he had a lot of wear and tear that you are imagining, just watched the clip and the trooper looks pretty clean
I just pre ordered 1.
I know your not keen, but stick that flame on, awesome!!!!

The backpack also needs to be strapped in the front.
Yup, I just ordered my Mando today and now this video is going to make me buy the Incinerator trooper this Thursday thanks for the advice!
Oops....lol
That Shocktrooper is fire! Hoping we get more Empire era troopers!
On video the legs look stumpy , I like the colors but lacks detail . On the shelf with flamethrower should look dope 🔥
Sick lookin trooper. Great review, might consider adding one into my collection
Very cool figure indeed, awesome review as always

Hi! This is the first Hot Toys I open. I was wondering what are those two tiny metal circles that come in a mini plastic bag?
Replacement wrist pegs
@@JedhaPatrol Thanks!

You forgot to close to chest buckle my dude 👌🏽
Jedha: "these feel like a toy accessorie"
Me: "looks at the title called hot toys"
:)
I want a trooper collection video
I’ve got this and it’s convinced me to drop Mandalorian troopers from my collection. It’s a cash grab from Disney and Hot Toys and the rogue one armour makes them look stumpy
I can't help myself. I like building a trooper army
He’s too clean.
I don't like the fire or lightning effects pieces. If they lit up, they'd be better.
Should call him " Pyro Trooper," way better name!
Just my opinion but an unweathered figure looks like a toy. A weathered figure looks like a serious collectible. Great review though fella. Looking forward to the next one...
Yeah I agree. Thanks for watching!
Well, it's a toy either way. With more or less dirt.
hmm.. his legs seem so short.. he looks funny!

Shock Trooper for the win
The artwork is too good not to display.
I’m the same way with the effects, never use them.

Sign me up for the Stormie review
You're on the list
I think your a famous photographer, because people who earn big salaries are the only one who can afford figures like HT. Nice review and God bless.
work hard, play hard
You sleeping on those effects.
Feel like a toy ahahhahahaha bro it is a toy, a very expensive one
Non acid free Ziplock bags ruin toys over time

This figure screams “Nazi” to me so much, especially with all that white and red and then the imperial logo lol
