Bradley AND Konate had just come back from injury, he took a risk with Konate, but didn't want to do so with both. Jota is also recently back from injury and perhaps the only clinical finisher in the team (his goals per minutes played is slightly better than Salah) - tactically if you have less time to score goals (as a sub) he is the best person to bring on. I am gutted beacuse Liverpool really needed to win this game considering Nottingham Forrest away is the next match. A team they lost to and almost didn’t win last season (well, scoring at the 98th minute). Before that Liverpool has not won against Forrrest at their home turf since 1984. After that it is Brentford away, also a difficult away game. I am affraid that Arsenal will be on level points with Liverpool after these two matches.
It’s not the poor performance that is the problem with Trent. It is the complete lack of effort. On several occassions in the Utd game, Trent was closer to the ran away Utd player but couldn’t be bothered to sprint back and instead Konate had to run from further away, overtaking Trent, to cover for him. There were no mistakes here by Trent, just arrogance. He clearly does not see it as his responsibility to cover the right hand side. A 10 year old academy player could easily dribble past him. If Hendo was still in the team he would definitely be biting Trent’s head off after every game.

This is stupid, you'd think that Trent was the entire defense on his own. Earlier this season when Konate was fit, we had the best defense in the league. Konate gets injured and suddenly it's all down to Trent. I'm not saying he wasn't poor yesterday but the rest of the team should've defended better, they weren't targeting just Trent but the whole right side of Liverpool because tres was no cover on that side from midfield either. I don't usually blame the manager because he's nearly always got things right or fixed them if they weren't right but at 2-1, Trent and Jones should've been off for Endo and Bradley to see the game out.

This is football where anything can happen so best not to count those chicken ahead of time. Football is a team game and I really don't like it when all the blame is put on one player. I am gutted beacuse Liverpool really needed to win this game considering Nottingham Forrest away is the next match. A team they lost to and almost didn’t win last season (well, scoring at the 98th minute). Before that Liverpool has not won against Forrrest at their home turf since 1984. After that it is Brentford away, also a difficult away game. I am affraid that Arsenal will be on level points with Liverpool after these two matches.
It’s not the poor performance that is the problem with Trent. It is the complete lack of effort. On several occassions in the Utd game, Trent was closer to the ran away Utd player but couldn’t be bothered to sprint back and instead Konate had to run from further away, overtaking Trent, to cover for him. There were no mistakes here by Trent, just arrogance. He clearly does not see it as his responsibility to cover the right hand side. A 10 year old academy player could easily dribble past him. If Hendo was still in the team he would definitely be biting Trent’s head off after every game.

This is stupid, you'd think that Trent was the entire defense on his own. Earlier this season when Konate was fit, we had the best defense in the league. Konate gets injured and suddenly it's all down to Trent. I'm not saying he wasn't poor yesterday but the rest of the team should've defended better, they weren't targeting just Trent but the whole right side of Liverpool because tres was no cover on that side from midfield either. I don't usually blame the manager because he's nearly always got things right or fixed them if they weren't right but at 2-1, Trent and Jones should've been off for Endo and Bradley to see the game out.

Let's put in another thing here, the weather. I haven't mentioned this at in the community tab (?), there was some terrible circumstances regarding the 'famous' weather to play in. Now ofcourse people will say, that should not make a difference. Well it does obviously, the pitch is slippery. The ball will do other things than players expect. The question remains with me atleast, shouldn't the manager pay more attention to playing under circumstances like this and other ones? Next is, I named the reinforcements Liverpool need, but I forgot to add a defensive midfielder in it to make it 'easier ' for Gravenberch to keep performing like he does recently. Liverpool need to buy a back up In some sort of way for him, Gravenberch..
