Steven Austen and, Ginger Baker, Keith Moon, Topper Headon, Les Binks, Simon Philips, Kenney Jones, Roger Taylor etc. So many excellent drummers from the UK. So many great bands . Cheers
My favorite Cozy performance was from the Rainbow "On Stage" album. "Catch the Rainbow." Ritchie does two awesome solos in the song, and Cozy sounds like he's playing a 2nd lead.
This is great stuff. It has to be his first tour, maybe second. I remember being blown away when I saw him open for Cheap Trick on their All Shook Up, (Can't Stop the Music) tour in the summer of 1980. I didn't know who Michael Schenker was at the time but I quickly found out and became an instant fan of all his work.
@@thorpenator9148 I also really like Gary, and not only in MSG. There is a good concert with Praying Mantis on UA-cam, where he sings beautifully and plus two former Iron Maiden musicians play there - guitarist and drummer CLIVE BURR (now deceased 🥁🙏), but the albums with those guys I wrote are also great . 👍🤝👌🍷🍾🍷🍾🇺🇦.
Powell, Bonham and Paice, all British, all powerhouses, all true rock drumming legends

Don't forget Carmine Appice!
Never forget the contribution that Paul Raymond made to the MSG sound. RIP Paul.
Cozy makes it look so effortless! Greatest drummer
My favorite drummer ever!
The only man in this group with 100% talent RIP Cozy
Schenker and Powell .... two metal gods!!!
My favorite Cozy performance was from the Rainbow "On Stage" album. "Catch the Rainbow." Ritchie does two awesome solos in the song, and Cozy sounds like he's playing a 2nd lead.
Light in Black - Also Rainbow. Cozy was relentless. Amazing song all around.
Life is life !!! What a Great drummer and a good band !
Great times, the line up was perfect and with Cozy on drums Schenker had it made.
Pinkpop 1981!!! I was there!!
MS is ripping this totally , have always loved his open wah sound
The 81 MSG album is a underatted rock album. Cozy is great on it.
What times WUAAA GREAT group never die

I was there, it sounded great!
What other tunes did they play?

I saw MSG during this tour at the Edinburgh Odeon...right up near the front. Fantastic.
I was there!!! Still have the photographs someware.
you should upload that pics
Seen these a few times at the Birmingham odeon and they blew the roof off
I like how in tune the bass player is with cozy....,. I'm sure he wouldn't have him up there if not. R.i.p.
Chris Glen on bass, former member of the Alex Harvey Band!
Wish I was there..
💜
Back when music video editing could stay on one angle for longer than 2 seconds and they knew how to stay on the guitar man during the lead.
excellent camera angle for Schenker's solo. jesus that left hand
Priceless
Marshall stacks forever!
Buena banda todos juntos
What a shock song :-)
Guitarrista GENIAL
Supergroup ❤❤❤
La edad de oro del heavy metal. Sin duda alguna. A la altura de Rainbow.
Holly fuck what a lineup
Chris Glen rocks r.i.p.
Mistaken you seem. Chris Glen, here on bass, is alive and well. R.I.P. may relate to Paul Raymond (rhythm guitar here) who sadly passed away recently.
Carl Palmer !🎶🎵🥁
Cozy Powell "destroy that cymbal?" Looks really skinny here!
Know what your saying, but he was never fat was he.Coolest drummer who ever lived😀
マイケルシェンカー 若い!!
Don’t Marshall Amps go up to 11?, it sounds like they do.🤘🏼
Nigel Tufnel special series 😁
Первую песню, которую я услышал и снесла мне голову, это Доктор, доктор, плиз
Ну она изначально в UFO проекте была, но безусловно Майкла!!!
Was this the US Festival in 1983?
Pink Pop Festival June 8, 1981, Geleen/Netherlands (btw in 1983 this line up didn' t exist anymore)
totally unnecessary but is there anything cooler than a wall of Marshalls?
Geezer rock ..💩
Who came up with the name for the Pink Pop Festival? What a lame name!
The concert is usually held on Pentecost weekend. Pinksteren is pentecost in Dutch.
Yikes....singer is awful😳
He wasnt everyones cup of brandy, sometimes a bit ,,,,squealy😀
