Weren't tights and some type of wigs started out as for men too? I remembered there was another piece of fashion (maybe the highheels) started out as solely for knights.
A lot of men fashion throughout history have been pretty flamboyant and feminine (by today's standards).
That's why it's so ridiculous to be gendering clothings and fashion.

And Gaston didn't try to "save" her from anything. Belle had already been "freed" by the Beast at that point. I use quotes by freed because Belle made it pretty obvious early on that the only thing keeping her in that castle was her sense of obligation. She had no trouble running out of that castle the first time Beast really scared her.
And, I'm not saying Beast's response was okay, but she does go into the one place he says not to and tries to touch his enchanted rose. Why, Belle? Why?

The whole "kids hate veggies and ESPECIALLY broccoli" comes from 3 issues: a)most people don't know how to cook veggies properly. Broccoli is like a poster child of that, I can't count how many times people treated me to overcooked florets and hard-as-rock steam. b)people don't use seasoning other than maybe salt and garlic. Ever wondered why veggies at your restaurant taste so good? Because they are drowned in seasonings and fat. c)children sometimes have sensory issues. Instead of forcing your kid to swallow your overcooked broccoli ask them what is wrong with it? Does the texture of food make them want to gag? Does the smell aggravate them? Maybe they hate how bland in taste is your overcooked broccoli!

can confirm. i was always understimulated by food growing up, and still am. but at least now i dont throw a fit. its literally stressful chewing something you can barely taste, and a lot of veggies on their own are hard to taste.

    • @00r0ry

I generally dislike most veggies but not for the taste, but for the texture. Most vegetables have a texture I hate. This is why I thrive on soup (all blended in a nice, dense way) and veggie cakes and everything I don't have to feel the texture in my mouth. Even mushrooms, something I LOVE as taste (give me a mushroom risotto and I will love you forever) makes me gag for the texture

One of my employees, a sever, is a trans woman, another is a woman, a greeter, in her late 40s. The woman in her 40s has very short hair and is quite overweight, but she is definitely recognizable as a female. A Karen came in for a to go order. She picked it up, but decided she needed more carrots. She kept saying sir at the back of the greeter. She, of course, didn't turn around at first. She corrected the Karen saying I'm sorry, but I am not a man. The woman then goes off on an anti-trans rant which ended with her getting escorted out by the police. The actually trans server was watching it all go down. As the police left, she started laughing her ass off and then hugged the greeter.

Fun fact: the Beauty and the Beast BEFORE Grimm wrote it down was actually very wholesome, the Beast was just an introvert, who just liked to garden and read and Bell was free to leave at any time and knew it, she came there on her own free will in some of the versions too, and they fell in love over a long time of talking and getting to know eachother. They can create a very convincing image of a thing, but they have no idea what that thing is, or what it's for. Buildings that don't touch the ground and don't have doors, for instance. They particularly seem to have a problem with remembering how many fingers people have, often erring on the side of rampant genetic mutation, and slapping on a few extra.
      It's fascinating.

19:07 this is reminds me of a Japanese movie I watched a few years ago. It's about a teacher "pranked" an arrogant smart student but instead of toilet water, she mixes dangerous pathogens into his lunch (I forgor which one, but i think it's an autoimmune virus), and because of that he was shunned because his friends believed that it was contagious and says that his mother died in an explosion, and actually traumatized him. The teacher pranked him to make him humble, but mostly because he accidentally killed her daughter, so ye- :D

the breakdown of the 'hero' and 'villain' of beauty and ebast removes some IMPORTANT context about the villain: the fact that said villain continually harasses Belle to date him despite her not wanting to do so, because he feels ENTITLED to have her because she's 'pretty'. Plus there's the whole having her dad be sent to a mental asylum so he could blackmail her into dating him. AND the fact he rallies a mob to kill the beast NOT to save her (considering she...already left the beast's castle by that point to save ehr dad) but because he realsied Belle is in love with the Beast and is consumed with Jealousy.

28:15 yes, before a school bus stops it flashes amber safety lights and then when the bus driver opens the door red safety lights, a stop sign, and a crossing arm will automatically deploy. You are legally obligated to stop for such lights no matter which lane or direction of travel (unless the road is divided). It’s the same as a red light or stop sign at an intersection. The guy on the simulator did not yield to the bus and ran over the kid, granted in real life most bus drivers are trained to wait for seen traffic to stop before allowing a child to cross but it’s never a certainty when it comes to children paying attention. I don’t know for sure but that looks like a Blue Bird TC2000 so when the door is opened it would automatically deploy the red safety lights along with the stop sign and crossing arm but that doesn’t appear to be the case with the simulator for some reason, which is kind of dumb.
