Maybe this can be the 1st part of a series for you on how to breakdown a lake and then transfer those waypoints to your electronics on your boat. I think that would get a lot of peoples interest plus help out your average day fisherman who doesn't have time to plot waypoints on the water every day.

Dude I really appreciate this! I'm just a kayak angler with no graphs. For a guy who has a 7 yr old daughter, wife, and over full time job. I don't really have time to fish the whole lake. This will help! They dropped our lake for 7 yrs working on the dam but are almost to full pool now so I can find a ton of good stuff with this!

Thank you for the work. Vids on preparation, location selection, equipment selection with reasons and thinking behind selections are my favorites. Sure, always fun to watch catches but me finding fish and catching is even better. I started bass fishing late in life so I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. If you could remember all the things you have forgotten, those are the things we need to learn.

I fish Kayak Tournaments. I use this method heavily to find areas to fish since my range is limited on where I can travel too in a timely manner. This is an excellent tip for sure !

Agree with cmai000 maybe do a part two or three to show how to put your google waypoints into files and change to coordinate for depth finders and maybe show how that translates into locating and fishing that spot you spent time researching with an on the water vid. Love your stuff. I jot down notes all the time stay with it!

I would love to see more of these where you identity structure and cover on Google Earth, e.g., hard bottom versus soft. Also, how you would fish them based on various conditions. Also combine what you see on Google Earth and what it actually looks like on the water.

Heck yes keep the videos! My home lake is a smallmouth, largemouth, hybrid, striper, and trout lake. But like I said it's been down for 7 yrs and I was catching them good then but now they've raised it I might catch one fish every two weeks and I go almost daily. Boone lake Tennessee. I did manage to catch a good 3 pound smally Saturday on a spinnerbait but fighting the boat traffic wasn't fun.

Dude you're doing awesome with the videos!!! Google earth is definitely an extreme game changer, learning tool. Edwin had an episode on it and yours was bad*ss too! I would say that most of us guys and younger guys watching the channel might not have the newest rig/equipment. These types of things in your videos help us tremendously. I'm able to use this and take my 89 Ranger 354v with old lowrance 2d sonar and a regular trolling motor and go fish very well on home lakes and now on new lakes! Thanks Upshaw keep them coming!

Heck yeah keep doing them!!! As long as you are able that is. I knew about using Google Earth and have used it for the lakes my club fishes tournaments on. But I didn't know or think about the getting the lake levels part. Nor did I think about knowing how steep a bank is by looking at how narrow it is on the screen that shows that the water was down. So even though I knew about using Google Earth I still learned 2 or 3 more things by watching your video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Though you may not hear it a lot we are thankful for what you do. Safe travels, tight lines and thanks again.

I have used GE for several years. The history data is very helpful. But in our area the imagery hasn't been update 5/2017. It would be nice and much more useful the data a few years newer. Not sure how your were able to zoom in so close but I haven't been able to get close enough to see boats like in your video.
But your video is very good and a great tool.
    Thanks

IMO, this is pure juice. Some of my very best spots were found using history. Low lake levels, winter drawdown type things. Things really not on map cards. Most anglers rely on the cards and anything you find can be pure gold.
Good stuff and I’m still learning the google functions.

I’ve trying to add it to arsenal when fishing a body of water that I’m not familiar with tips help when looking at google earth or Fishbrain. Question I have what lures you use or how do go about fishing the bottom when the water has a deep silt or muck like bottom? When I try to fish the bottom the lure gets buried in the silt curious how you go about it when face that type of obstacle.

I’d like to here your opinion on this. Do you think people will always be able to catch fish off shore schooled up or do you think that fish will get use to people fishing for them and the baits and will begin to scatter and find different place to move to

Maybe it's time to do some collaboration videos. I'm not understanding why all the different you tuber's are down in views your lake fork guide channel saying the same thing you and a bunch of other channels are saying, you tube is imploding under it's own weight, like removing djt rally in ohio the other day got a million views before yt could pull it down and several other people posted his rally and their video was pulled down, you can't be publisher and social media at the same time it's either one or the other not both and with all the audits taking place and the preliminary report of arizona stating that the election count didn't add up having over 100,000 vote's missing. Yt can't keep censoring and expect the majority to except that BS.

Yeah Johnny does do it from Fish the Moment but he gets too in depth at times and loses people. This was short, sweet and to the point. Plus, some people may follow this channel but not Fish the Moment. Nothing wrong with double tapping this with multiple channels in my opinion. Any way to help a fellow fisherman I am on board with it.
