Rise of the Resistance in my opinion is the greatest ride created. Growing up a Star Wars fan I would ride it as many times as I could in a day. Each time crying like a baby. So much detail to appreciate.
For Savi’s - you pay for to build one like before. You get your own QR code and can choose what group you want and then can build it via your phone. The cast member then gives you what you chose and then build it in person.
When I went on ROTR a few days ago, I was surprised to see a First Order officer get close to me and interrogate me about the Resistance base. I thought they would have to stay back but I really liked that. Before that when we exited the IT-S transport, a mother officer mentioned that there was a virus around the galaxy which surprised me a lot. Is that canon just like the rest of Galaxy’s Edge?
It is partially thanks to you two that I now know and got TOTALLY STOKED about Savi's Workshop Lightsaber Building experience. Thank you! You and a couple of other UA-camrs brought it to my attention but I could only watch a small portion of your videos because I did not want too many spoilers for the experience. It quickly became a goal of mine to bring my boys out to Galaxy's Edge and build our own lightsabers together - me being a HUGE fan of Star Wars and my eldest son's birthday being May the 4th (I hit the bday jackpot there!) I am super bummed to see they have put the experience on hold for now. I really hope as things cool off they bring it back! I got some time anyway; my boys are too young to fully appreciate the experience yet. I am now a subscriber and really appreciate you, Peter and Kitra, for your channel in keeping us all up-to-date. Looking forward to more videos to get myself pumped about future Galaxy's Edge (and other Disney and theme park) visits. You rock!
I like the design better than her Rebel sabers, but I like green lightsabers better than blue. That’s just my opinion though it would be cool either way.
Hudson Walker Yh I always preferred her clone wars sabers and the green was cool but when I saw S7 I thought the blue was better cause it shows the connection with her master
Bright Suns! I went last week and as for an update here in Orlando, the parks have begun to get busy again and Galaxy's Edge was quite busy on a Saturday. Still social distancing and most shows and fireworks are still not happening. Rise of the Resistance was very busy and hard to get a reservation for, i got lucky, Smuggler's Run was most of the time atleast an hour long wait in line. It wasn;t bad and luckily the weather has gotten cooler here since it is the season. I went back in October and it was pretty bad with the mask and the heat and humidity. But overall, I guess we are lucky the park has been open already for a few months. Hopefully things get back to normal soon. Stay safe! May the force be with you!
Yeah I think the December crowds have gotten a bit much. It’s one of the reasons we decided not to take a trip this year. We’ll wait until it calms down again.
Customize everything you want for your light saber prior to you going in. Fill every other light saber building station. Build it, activate it and love it. Many regrets that I didn’t do it on March 13th.
The Blue Shadow Virus is already canonical, but I think the fact that it kills everything it encounters and Batuu is a vestige for survivors would be really -dark-, but at the same time actually help to immerse you in the world experience as well.

I like how they added the detail to the visor to make it match the inside of the "ship"(idk I've never been to any Disney, lego, or Universal resort). Even though the detail is minimal it still works

So, I love what they did with the Rise of the Resistance ride reservations! I hope they keep that, because I would definitely hate waking up at 6am, to get into the park super early only to learn that my boarding party to Rise of the Resistance wasn't until around 3pm.
With Savi's I agree with you, pick the parts from the list and the colour kyber and build it from there or if they couldn't build it there, they could place them into a nice bag and build outside possibly. But then looking at how droid depot has been worked, they could have done something similar and reworked how you touched items. They could do a queue system for the FO shop like the marketplace but not sure about the Resistance shops.
For Savis I think they should only let 5 groups in and give them all gloves as they enter. That way the gloves haven't touched anything before, and you can still make the saber. My family is going to Disneyland when it opens (to celebrate my senior year if high school and my brothers birthday) and I am bummed that you can't make your own sabers since I don't have one yet and I just bought a custom Kyber Crystal for it (from crafted cores) ... I guess if they don't open it by then I have to plan another trip mabey in a couple years.
I always thought they could incorporate the virus into the story by saying that someone was smuggling contraband from another planet, but didn't realize the cargo was contaminated, and they didn't do a screening process for contamination or something like that. Also, you would think that Chewie and the Troopers would be the most protected cast members being inside their costumes, that's like the ultimate protection.

Then, if you change your mind, you could always buy that piece separately. Not the same experience, but you still get a custom saber out of it. Plus, it's an excuse to bring back selling parts separately, which is sorely missed.
They should have just done a whole experience where there was some sort of Star Wars plague and built in New Order checkpoints where they can you and stuff
Very thorough video as always and entertaining CoronaContent. You can tell that Disney has invested a ton of time and effort and have taken advice from health experts on what to do. Social distancing and santiation definitely exceeds what I’d see at my local Costco.
I think for Savi’s, they could just allow about 7 to 8 people from each group to build lightsabers and have plexiglass separate the stations. I do like some of Kitra’s ideas about it though! I’m sure the experience will come back eventually (I hope. I really want to build a Power and Control (Sith) saber)!
We still plan to go to WDW at the end of Sept, and we’ve made our reservation for each park...2 days to go to Galaxy’s Edge, and I really want to make a light saber! I think they could solve the problem at Savi’s by not only reducing the amount of people doing assembling, but have everyone hand sanitize, and then put on gloves just before getting your saber parts. You can toss your gloves after you exit with your saber. THIS IS THE WAY!

So sad about Savi's. I wish instead of the legacy sabers they would at least let you pick out the custom saber parts. I had to give up my lightsaber building session last year because my son got the flu. We are going back to make up our day at the park in October, and I was hoping to finally get to build mine. If I wanted a legacy saber I would have bout one when we were there before.
I feel like Han Solo is the kind of person who would refuse to wear a mask just because or because he doesn’t need it but I also feel like the characters would be kinda ruined with masks
I wondered if they might turn Savi’s and Droid Depot to app only experiences where you just build in the app and pick up your item later so I’m glad it’s still more interactive.
For savis they should let you build a lightsaber like 4 people in and let them build them one and then clean the left over parts and put the ones that they took
I can answer the question about our two at Walt Disney World he was originally a Droid Depot but when rise of the resistance was about to open they moved them over to launch bay and have them in the store. As of right now the store is completely close also the launch bay experience is closed off as well so as of right now R2 will not be coming out either
Vincent Vision 4D (or is it 5D now?) rules (10:53, etc) His vlogs are insanely funny with nice mix of traditional Orlando vlog, but with strange music, occasional dancing in sand pit to EPCOT music, and Vincent meltdown when his phone that won't get a boarding time -- while people around him do!
What really sucks is that this year we were suppose to take my dad to Disneyland to check out Galaxy's edge for his birthday. His birthday is in July 19 so we have to wait till next year.
I feel like they should’ve somehow kept the building part not us physically building it but saying hey I want these pieces then they build it for you and the give it to you after the build it

I'm with you on a lot of things, but i can't get behind Kitra's gloves for everything solution. Gloves are good & serve a purpose, but this world is already dealing with enough issues we don't need to make things worse by adding a bunch of disposable gloves adding to the polution that already exists. Just my thoughts
Right now Disney handling Covid better than all of America. Restrictions are good. Precautions are good. I do think Disney and other parks needs more seating as a whole(myself, friends, and family are either fully and partially handicapped). Preshows are important to me. I agree that gloves should be used in Smugglers Run. Boo, I'm sure Savi's could've still worked, just with less people, the hand sanitizer, and gloves. For picking Kyber Crystals, You should be able to audibly choose your Crystal. They need to add Dooku and Qui Gon's lightsabers. Less people in Dok's and The Cantina is good. Droid Depot seems good even though the building stations look like a shooting range now. Shopping area seems good too. Blue or green? Blue for sure. Galaxy's Edge seems to be doing good.
😭 Hey guys! I'm like Kitra. They should just limit how many ppl make light sabers at a time. They could make it reservation only, make you wear gloves or watch you sanitize your hands etc. Even if they only let 4 ppl in at a time or do it a couple days a week that'd give ppl like me (who have never been to DW & were looking fwd to making a light saber more than anything else) the opportunity to experience a little bit of what we planned so long for.... My kids are 18 & 15. We've never been anywhere but the small town where we live (pop. 30,000) & I know there are bigger things to wry about/be upset about but it sucks that we spent a yr planning our trip to wdw & the one thing we were looking fwd to the most isn't even an option anymore. On the plus side - thanks to you guys, we might still go. . . Undecided. Peter & Kitra, if you were like me (a single parent who's never been able to take your kids anywhere bc of multiple autoimmune disorders & a rare form of anemia that kept me in & out of the hospital for yrs B4 they figured out what was wrong & how to mng it); where would you go?! Anyone I ask says I shouldn't go anywhere during the pandemic as if waiting it out is a viable option but I dnt see this going away & I'm desperately trying to build memories with my kids to make up for all the time I was too sick to do anything. Is my third reply to you guys there is one big problem with the area savi. One day would have to limit the place and make it very small they would have to space out the shows even further than they normally are cuz they may have to clean everything. But the main reason why there is no Savi Workshop. it's because the gatherers for the show are from equity as you may have noticed many or almost all the shows at Walt Disney World are performed by Equity cast members and as of right now there is no equity cast members in the Parks at all that's why there is no shows.
I would want to go to Disney world galaxys edge, because I’ve never gone to a galaxys edge yet and I really wanted to go this summer, but I have a problem with Florida gaining 15,000 cases a day.

Hi Kitra and Peter, well we from Imagineering had to be in the Park already 2 Weeks before they re-opened, we were sitting all together in the conforence room for almost 3 hours . You know the reason why we had to make some tweaks here and there and the lightsaber workshop was one main concern it was going up and down, why and we could and if we do this and that it might be possible etc... and i yelled out and said hey guys do you want to open the park yes or no ? Then everyone was quiet, and my boss kicked me on my knee and said how can you speak up like that in front of all those big Bosses, and i said because im 25 years with the comp. now and im 50 years old and i need to grow out of my roll as just one of the designers. Anyway We had the Chance to work under daylight because we can only work if the park is closed. We went inside the rides and it was like 150 degree of heat, they shut down all Air conditioning systems to save money, my boss ran out to the head of imagineering and said non of us will work under those conditions, i said joking wise " I already got the Imperial Flu!!!" Well then they turned it on. The Thing is that every Ride needed to be run at least 100 times otherwise the safety Dept. would not let them run. Thats standard procedure every night in all parks around the world. Anyway there are certain things i can tell you and some im not allowed to. But the real reason why Disneyland is still closed and Disneyworld is open are 100% Political reasons and got Nothing to do with Safety or Covid19! But i also got good news there is a whole pile of new Star Wars Merchendise coming in to the next weeks. Please keep your channel running like you did because i also recomend you to my friends at Work May the Force be with you your Alex :-)

Second question, since savi's workshop is not up and running, does disneyland even sell kyber crystals still? People have mod-ed the kyber crystals, so makes me wonder if they executed order 66 on Savi's workshop... yes it is hands on and germs, so just thinking multi purpose
They still sell them because you can still buy a holocron and use them inside them. And previous purchasers of the Savi sabers can buy additional on subsequent return visits.
As you know nothing has been announced yet nothing new has been announced so we have no idea of anything will happen no guaranteed because of the timeline that Black spire Outpost and Galaxy edges from we may not see Rey's new lightsaber because we are stuck after the events of Last Jedi

I’m guessing they also just can’t pay enough castmembers, which is why a lot of things are closed across the parks.

R2-D2 is at Mubo's in Orlando too, or at least he was when I was there in October. This is, of course, the full-size R2 that is for sale for $25K.

For savis they should let you build a lightsaber like 4 people in and let them build them one and then clean the left over parts and put the ones that they took

I can answer the question about our two at Walt Disney World he was originally a Droid Depot but when rise of the resistance was about to open they moved them over to launch bay and have them in the store. As of right now the store is completely close also the launch bay experience is closed off as well so as of right now R2 will not be coming out either
They should have had the gathers put the lightsaber together and you can have them put together the lightsaber you want

Just got back from Disney and I felt wayyyyyy safer there then I do here in Ohio at the grocery store or at work (I work in a retail store )!! Wish I could go back but have to wait till October for my next trip !

I'm with you on a lot of things, but i can't get behind Kitra's gloves for everything solution. Gloves are good & serve a purpose, but this world is already dealing with enough issues we don't need to make things worse by adding a bunch of disposable gloves adding to the polution that already exists. Just my thoughts

Right now Disney handling Covid better than all of America. Restrictions are good. Precautions are good. I do think Disney and other parks needs more seating as a whole(myself, friends, and family are either fully and partially handicapped). Preshows are important to me. I agree that gloves should be used in Smugglers Run. Boo, I'm sure Savi's could've still worked, just with less people, the hand sanitizer, and gloves. For picking Kyber Crystals, You should be able to audibly choose your Crystal. They need to add Dooku and Qui Gon's lightsabers. Less people in Dok's and The Cantina is good. Droid Depot seems good even though the building stations look like a shooting range now. Shopping area seems good too. Blue or green? Blue for sure. Galaxy's Edge seems to be doing good.

😭 Hey guys! I'm like Kitra. They should just limit how many ppl make light sabers at a time. They could make it reservation only, make you wear gloves or watch you sanitize your hands etc. Even if they only let 4 ppl in at a time or do it a couple days a week that'd give ppl like me (who have never been to DW & were looking fwd to making a light saber more than anything else) the opportunity to experience a little bit of what we planned so long for.... My kids are 18 & 15. We've never been anywhere but the small town where we live (pop. 30,000) & I know there are bigger things to wry about/be upset about but it sucks that we spent a yr planning our trip to wdw & the one thing we were looking fwd to the most isn't even an option anymore.
On the plus side - thanks to you guys, we might still go. . . Undecided.
Peter & Kitra, if you were like me (a single parent who's never been able to take your kids anywhere bc of multiple autoimmune disorders & a rare form of anemia that kept me in & out of the hospital for yrs B4 they figured out what was wrong & how to mng it); where would you go?! Anyone I ask says I shouldn't go anywhere during the pandemic as if waiting it out is a viable option but I dnt see this going away & I'm desperately trying to build memories with my kids to make up for all the time I was too sick to do anything. Plus I am on a limited income so I know that if I don't use our vacation money soon, I'll end up spending it on bills.

Is my third reply to you guys there is one big problem with the area savi. One day would have to limit the place and make it very small they would have to space out the shows even further than they normally are cuz they may have to clean everything. But the main reason why there is no Savi Workshop. it's because the gatherers for the show are from equity as you may have noticed many or almost all the shows at Walt Disney World are performed by Equity cast members and as of right now there is no equity cast members in the Parks at all that's why there is no shows.

Hi Kitra and Peter, well we from Imagineering had to be in the Park already 2 Weeks before they re-opened, we were sitting all together in the conforence room for almost 3 hours . You know the reason why we had to make some tweaks here and there and the lightsaber workshop was one main concern it was going up and down, why and we could and if we do this and that it might be possible etc... and i yelled out and said hey guys do you want to open the park yes or no ? Then everyone was quiet, and my boss kicked me on my knee and said how can you speak up like that in front of all those big Bosses, and i said because im 25 years with the comp. now and im 50 years old and i need to grow out of my roll as just one of the designers. Anyway We had the Chance to work under daylight because we can only work if the park is closed. We went inside the rides and it was like 150 degree of heat, they shut down all Air conditioning systems to save money, my boss ran out to the head of imagineering and said non of us will work under those conditions, i said joking wise " I already got the Imperial Flu!!!" Well then they turned it on. The Thing is that every Ride needed to be run at least 100 times otherwise the safety Dept. would not let them run. Thats standard procedure every night in all parks around the world. Anyway there are certain things i can tell you and some im not allowed to. But the real reason why Disneyland is still closed and Disneyworld is open are 100% Political reasons and got Nothing to do with Safety or Covid19! But i also got good news there is a whole pile of new Star Wars Merchendise coming in to the next weeks. Second question, since savi's workshop is not up and running, does disneyland even sell kyber crystals still? People have mod-ed the kyber crystals, so makes me wonder if they executed order 66 on Savi's workshop... yes it is hands on and germs, so just thinking multi purpose
They still sell them because you can still buy a holocron and use them inside them. And previous purchasers of the Savi sabers can buy additional on subsequent return visits.

As you know nothing has been announced yet nothing new has been announced so we have no idea of anything will happen no guaranteed because of the timeline that Black spire Outpost and Galaxy edges from we may not see Rey's new lightsaber because we are stuck after the events of Last Jedi
Yeah it takes place between last Jedi and rise of skywalker but I do think they would make an exception to sell the Rey lightsaber
