    Thank you so much for this video! I have a miniature horse that does not shed out so she needs a full body clip every summer. I just got the KM-10 clippers and I love them as they have given their best fight through her thick coat from any other clippers I have tried with her. Though after getting through 3/4 of the job they stopped cutting despite constant cleaning of the blades. I'm thinking some hair got past the blades and it was really helpful to see someone else open them up!

      Paige LaGarce hello. Np. If you use more oil it will maximize the life of how sharp it stays bc it doesn't grind the dirt between the blades. Thanks for watching

    Great video, Thank you! Can you please make one on what to do if the latch is stuck and won't unhinge the blade. So the blade is stuck to KM 10 clipper.

    THANK YOU!! Could not get the blade installed in my New KM10 & you had only video showing the blade being installed. I had been trying on phone with Wahl Support & could not get blade in. Once I could see the angle & how you set it in, YEA, it went in. Thank you So Very Much. GREAT PRESENTATION!!

    My clipper maintenance is sporadic at best but I'm trying to educate myself. Can you fill me in on where you're oiling inside the clipper? I saw a small dot placed somewhere above the motor

    D@mn dog kicked my clippers off the table. Now my blades don’t stay fully seated. I can sometimes push hard and hear a subtle click and it will stay seated longer. Could changing out the blade drive fix this?

      @@christinebarron8467 the clipper probably needs to be serviced, specifically near the head. Clipper blades don't work by themselves. They require the head of the clipper to be in good shape to be fully functional.

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  3 місяці тому

      @christinebarron8467 Many of our customers purchase new blades and have them sharpened by us to ensure optimal performance. Our sharpening process results in blades that are sharper than new and maintain their edge longer. It's not uncommon for new blades to have cutting issues right out of the package. For the best results, we recommend sending both your clipper and blades to us. We will make sure they perform at their highest potential.

    I am new to being a groomer and I know to oil my blades, but it looks like you put oil in the actual clipper too. I am just about to replace my lever for the first time and want to upkeep correctly. Where exactly do you put the oil in the clipper and why? Thank you!

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  2 роки тому

      Hello. I put oil on moving parts to keep the resistance down. I do not put oil on the lever I put grease because it helps keep the noise down and helps it from melting the plastic. But eventually you'll need to get your clipper serviced by a professional because you don't know how to check for broken parts or parts that are about to go bad and to clean the commentator and clean the carbon out of the motor.

      Show edge blades are for show dogs. That's what groomers tell me. Some groomers don't like them bc they clog with hair. So I think they might be good for certain dogs. Hope that helps you. Thanks for watching.

    Hey man your videos are great thanks for sharing all the info. I had a question though, do the motors ever go bad in these and need replaced? Or do you just return them if they go bad before 5 years. I got mine with a kit from the Grooming course I took online through Animal Behavior College. I use oil on blades and have lubed the inside blade drive part and changed levers but it started to get hot where the motor would be and now it goes but pauses at times like buzzzzzzzzzbuzzbuzzbuzzbzz lol if you know anything about that can you let me know? Thanks again for the videos they are awesome.

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  5 років тому

      Hi. I'm glad you enjoy my videos. If it doesn't get hot without a blade then the clipper is fine. It could be the blade locking up or the blade getting hot and the heat traveling thru the motor mount but if you oil it, it should be fine. If it's in warranty and you have time to wait for them to repair it, I recommend you sending it in for warranty to Wahl. They should fix it for free. I can fix it but I would have to charge a service fee plus parts needed. It probably need a motor. Thanks for watching

    Hi would love your help my blades are brand new and after a few passes they are pulling- I’m using oil and everything- loosing my mind I just bathed my poodles and dried them and now it’s not working

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973

      Hello! Are they different sizes than you usually use? Because a lot of my customers they will buy new blades and get them sharpened out of the package because sometimes they won't be sharp. Or a kind of sounds like the hair's getting jammed in between the teeth and not feeding through to cut it, you might need a different size blade that's why I asked that question

    • @skyislimitless1535
      @skyislimitless1535 2 роки тому

      @@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 thank you so much for responding. Wahl sent new blades to me to make sure the blades weren’t the problem- they worked fine for a pass over with an attachment comb and then when I was 1/2 through with a shorter attachment comb they just started pulling - not cutting.
      The last time I groomed them it did the same thing.
      I kinda think it’s not the blades. I’m going to call them tomorrow and ask them to send me a new clipper. This is only 2 years old and I have only groomed my 1 poodle for 1.5 years and the other for less than a year every 6 weeks.
      Spent $216. On getting them bathed and 1.5 drive + 3 hrs for the baths and then this! 😢😖

      @skyislimitless Just curious if you were able to solve this!? I am having the same problem with my cocker spaniels. I love the clippers but after a few passes they pull instead of cut! I have to take them apart and clean them out. Then they'll work for a few more passes but the same thing will happen again. It's very frustrating. I've had them for only a few months. I clean them and oil them regularly. I'm losing my mind over this.
