Thanks for the video. Why do you need a licensed agent to buy in an auction in Cyprus? I thought in most European countries you can just register yourself on the bank auction website and buy the property without any middleman
Hey, that's an interesting question, but I can't answer it right now. In general, Paphos is surely an amazing place to buy a property, but to me personally, there are some other things on the to do list before that.
Im considering buying a property in Cyprus as i plan to move there in the next few years for sem-retirement. Property wise, specifically i would like a town house/ apartment in tge old town area of eother Paphos or Limmasol, prefersbly requiring modernisation. Do these types of properties come up in Cyprus, as i generally just ser new build propertoes for sale.
I want to live in an area with dry air close to a fishing village yet somewhat remote, so i want to buy some land. where do you suggest, we are 7 middle income retirees who will settle in cyprus within a few years. we want to buy some land & buy / import Chinese fabricated houses & set them up on the property to build an old people collective. So where do you suggest to live, we dont like overcrowded places. somewhere close to a fishing village & a market..... I hope you reply. Sincerely yours Kim from Denmark.
Cyprus has seen a lot of immigration due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, and the war between Israel and Palestine is expected to bring in more. Of course, legal immigration is fine, but I expect a lot of illegal immigrants from the Middle East. Won't they disrupt the security of Cyprus and make it an unpleasant place to live? In fact, there were large protests against illegal immigrants in Paphos and Limassol two months ago.
Cyprus is not what you know its who you know buy land and build on it the cheapest way to have a house and have cypriot friends who know people who own land and builders woll get it 50% cheaper than doing it like a foreigner that where they get overpriced out haha cyprus is very cheap if you lnow people facts you can live like a king in cyprus if you know you know if not youll pay full doller for everythink
In Canada Facebook is loaded with housing scams and rarely do properly licensed agents deal with anything FB. BUT I'm open to maybe in some areas of the world it is different.
i have to inform you that there is no north or south Cyprus
There is free Cyprus and a piece that separated after Turkish invasion of Cyprus at 1974

From what you've seen, living in Paphos for 4 years, do you feel you will eventually buy a house there?

Is there a reason why after 4 years you are still renting?
I will always rent, until I build my dream house where I will retire with my family.

That's the Limassol Marina. I shot it from many different angles that day. Was fun!

Now, unfortunately a lot of scams are listed as well, that's why online marketplaces like FB are not my go-to choice anymore.
