A photon is simply an irreversible energy transfer between an electromagnetic field and an external system. It doesn't take a laser or a pulsed source to detect a photon and a single detection will tell us absolutely nothing about the source.
The delusion of the "single photon". There is no such thing. The size of a "single photon" is always relative to the emitting particle's energy, and the energy received by that particle.
problem is, most of this is defined by MATH.. If you are in college, and want to pass, you do what the *ancient* books say... 'reality' has nothing to do with it.. and do note 'energy' has only a level, and 'size' has a level AND length..

Lower frequency light bends more when it comes in contact with the magnet field, so you never see a connection of the circuit.

Very nice talk and nice recording. One can watch it like if we were there. Congrats to the speaker for his educational spirit
The real content starts at 9:01
love people like you thank you
Nice lecture. i was wondering how can you distinguish between initial detection and after pulse detection? thank you 01:14:00
Thought provoking and interesting info regarding single photons!
very insightful in the field of SPS and detector
Excellent lecture. Do you have it in written form? I come from Slovakia and some things I do not understand well and I would like to read it all.
We are dealing with pulse issue with our quantum device running at quanta - Is there any detector that can solve this issue?
The link is not working
very nice talk
This light detectors how much photons can you see?, no more than three
Great talk!
Thank you for posting this : )
Any thought on the size of a photon? Could they be large or very large but the detection efficiency low?
Photons are energy. Energy doesn't have a size.

@@schmetterling4477 Thank you for your thoughtful response. Your photon is a verb. I'll be thinking about that one.

I'm confused.Aura is light.,but we can't see that light with naked eye?
It’s ok lord Dracula, always stay away from light if you don’t want to die
Some of this talk is bs for sure.

In theoretical physics, what if photon is actually two photons sharing the same room.
Then the wave function is fully symmetric. Bosons like to do it that way. ;-)

I agree. Total word salad no proper scientific substance.
