I really miss 2012 this game is so nostalgic for me… played more than 1000 matches … best gameplay of the series and the custom team names were so cool!
This game had its good and bad moments for me. I would say the gameplay was unlike any of the others, including the ones after it. I also really miss the team names
A bit late on this but I’d personally have S3 as the best movement because of Gens ground chakra dash needing full recovery. Also the edition of the double jump helped the air chakra dash come out faster and allowed for more jutsu to be avoided.

Generations felt smoother gameplay wise. All CC2 needed to do was make Storm 3 Exactly like Generations game mechanics wise and add the instant awakening game mechanic and nerf the S tier characters and characters with overpowered ninjutsu and tilts a bit and Storm 3 would have genuinely been a better game. I see no reason why CC2 drastically altered the battle System for each Storm Game which almost made it feel as if you were playing a completely different game. And then the leader switch game mechanic on top of the new game mechanics they introduced, the Storm series had potential but Bandai Namco squandered it and gave us watered down sequels instead of building upon the previous battle system and fine tuning it.
Generations definitely was the smoothest. I honestly hated a lot of the new mechanics like instant awakening but that’s also cause of how the subbing worked. If they kept the sub bars but added the invincibility frames after you subbed like it did in Storm 2, all the games would’ve played a lot better. The sub mechanic in general is the main reason why so much stuff is broken. Give us the same sub system from S1/2 but with the sub bars and the games would be great
@@Xanderxindershin For balancing reasons it's needed. The reason so many characters are "broken" is because of the lack of invincibility after subbing. If that were a thing across all games, so many characters wouldn't be as broken as they are
Storm generations looks so fun avenger never played it tho i started with revolution also in storm 4 yesterday but i literally had my first legit rage quit only because the guy was lag switching and his connections went from yellow to red mid game and he was running and spamming and he was rank 11 doing that
Wow really fluid movement mechanics here, it seems that you can cancel your attacks into a side step, Am I right? If not the cooldown between an action and a side step is way lower than the game that came after.
people keep saying that generations was the best game but i remember that this game was like "have the better controler =win" i mean you had guys who threw a kunai and 0.005 seconds later they could block, while people like me threw a kunai and would be not able to block for like 3 seconds.. even just jumping out of combo's did not react for me 9/10

Probably an unpopular opinion but I like the hand drawn VS. screen better than the 3D model one

This was my first Naruto game, i played the demo before playing the full game on PS3!
I remember downloading the Japanese demo when that came out.

I agree, but the story was enough for the kind of game this was imo. It also never made sense why Zabuza and Haku weren't in Storm 1

Yes! You can cancel attacks into side steps. In this game it was much more fluent and faster than in S3

Yes! This is on PS3. Gens is pretty dead but sometimes there are ppl on the game. Very rare tho

I agree, the graphics could've gotten so much better. I still believe S1 had the most detail in the animation/graphics tho
The majority dont want bteer graphics though, i love it how it is cuz thats the point. More characters > better graphics
