Man I only wanted to get Chief but now I want Kat too, one of my favorite Halo designs.

FaceSmacker! Studios oh no. Ive collected too many figures, not enough shelf room anymore its actually become quite unattractive. I can only afford to get myself master chief in terms of display space now

My country stopped selling halo action figures after Halo Reach. They then stopped selling Halo megabloks when Halo 4 came out.

These figures are such nostalgia blasts!! It's gonna be hard not to spend my pay on these spartans... I really hope they make the baddies in this scale!!! I'd love to have an elite or a brute or something 🤩

I knew that, but I just can't unsee the Disney 2 finger point when ever I see that type of hand pose. 😂. But thanks for letting me know in case i didnt!
PSA For Spartan Collection Kat: her matte visor appears to be a mistake(maybe part of the chrome finish process that was left on by mistake), and you can easily scratch it off with your fingernail to reveal the chrome underneath! Looks so much better this way!
So, Kat cannonically is shorter than Chief, mainly due to the fact she's from the Spartan III program, where chief is from the Spartan II.
The recruits from the III's had slightly different augmentations because the genetic pool they took from was wider, and the kids were older. She's probably in scale in comparison to Chief.
Apparently under the visor is a mirror finish (dont have the figure, cant find it in Canada, so cant confirm). However, due to how gritty the Fall of Reach was I think it suits it better without the shine. Shes missing ALOT of paint apps on her back, but all that can be easily fixed. Lastly, that torso can be fixed with nail polish to make the ball joint bigger, or if putty along the shift that attaches to the legs. The pistol mount can be fixed easily too by just cutting it down with side cutters/nippers. 🤙
Theres supposedly a updated version 2 Kat now circulating. Has a bit more paint apps, new visor, and better joints from what i hear. Still looking for one though.
@@FaceSmackerStudios Mine must be a version two then. The visor is vac-chromed like the others. There's a white stripe around her right thigh and light gray paint apps on that pouch on the left thigh. The back peg is present. And I have many of the same loose joint issues especially in the torso ball joint. And the left arm likes to fall out of the torso.
I have every figure in this series and they all have major issues with loose joints everywhere, ugly knee articulation, poor gripping hands, the thigh pegs are a good idea but they don't really work and fall out when a weapon is attached, and useless articulation (Master Chief's torso has no range in movement, MK V's hips are very limited). I really hope they work to fix these issues for future figures because they have a lot of promise.

All of the problems you had weren’t on mine, the peg is on the back to hold the laser, joints are all sturdy and pose, helmet visor is chrome, I’ve also got a bit more silver brushed on the armor
Did you buy yours recently? Bought mine on Amazon today, hope the newer batches are better in quality

I know this is late lol but the visor was supposed to be shiny but they painted it gray, some people scrubed the paint off and its shiny, look up viedos.
I think the peg in the leg can be put on her back, the molds are almost similar

The Reach female body did have a round booty, but on this figure it looks a bit off. I'm going to check my Targets and see if I can find some. I want to like these more but the limited paint kills me. The Hasbro black series figures have more paint. Is this because Jazwares isn't that big of a company, or do they just have more cost to cut?
Every company has different business strategies and profit margins, so it's hard to say why exactly they didn't put as much paint. But if this line does well, perhaps the talent involved in making these figures might be able to strongarm Jazwares into spending a bit more on paint apps in the future. 🤷♂️. Fingers crossed!
Compare articulation to anything from Hasbro, especially when it comes to female figures. What might be lacking in paint more than makes up for it in overall sculpt and articulation.
@@Primal2229 I did pick up the Chief. I was impressed and I will take back some of my negatives I initially had. Assuming you get one that isn't loose in the joints, they're great figures. I still say some extra paint would make things a bit more accurate, but they do have nice presence

It's good that this one has a head swap. Blue looks good on her and it's a catchy Colour so anyone can fall for buying this. Nice review like always ✌️

You know what’s funny about the visor at my target I saw a kat with a scratch on the visor and under it was shiny material. So I think it is shiny under.
Yeah, it is. I scratched the matte silver off, now she has the same chrome visor as my other Spartans.

You can fix the loud squeaks by putting a little bit of dish soap on the joint. I did it on my chief and it worked, dont put too much though cause it will end up being too loose.
10:37 Jorge would actually be slightly taller than Chief. Chief’s 7’2”, Jorge is 7’4”.
But he's much bulkier too! He's like the Spartan's version of "The Rock". 😂

Yeah especially when the leg joints start squeaking really bad its not the best but at least they are nice figures.

Hi that part with the bird was funny
I just got one of these, and it has a peg in the back, and the waist and arms not wobbly at all. The arms are smooth but not loose. Everything else poses and feels nice and firm but not like it will snap. Mine also seems to have less silver paint splodged all over with more applied to corners and high points, but the weapons don't fit on either of her pegs.
Yooo you can scratch the visor with ur finger nail and reveal a shiny coat underneath ! I did it, and mine came loose but I pulled the peg forward and it’s doin well, my cheif has a loose ankle on the other hand 😂
Done paint apps and these would look beautiful!

May not be a bad idea. Unless the initial wave doesn't sell out. It's always a gamble with these new toy lines unfortunately. 🤦♂️

It's not a design flaw for the back piece they made it to where any weapon that has a peg on it can fit onto the back of her suit
Hope so. As of now, not a single weapon from Chief, Kat, or the Red Spartan have pegs on them. The mattel pegs are too short to be useful too. We'll have to see what they give us in the future I guess. 🤷♂️
@@FaceSmackerStudios sorry to say this, man, your Kat is missing a piece. Mine has a black piece that ports into that hole, with a peg on it. It's basically just like chief's side holsters. I face, all the figs have the side holsters and back detachable pieces but some of them are VERY stuck and won't budge at all. Seems like your Kat is just flat out missing the back piece, mine has it
@@SpartanDave99 my Chief's back peg will not move, so I can't turn it around to plug the AR he comes with to his back. Bummer, but no biggie.
They should have done photoreal on the head sculpt
That's Hasbro's tech. Don't think Jazwares/Wicked Cool has their own version of that yet. 🤷♂️

I got this from delivered from Amazon Uk yesterday, her left arm fell out when I was taking her out the packaging, back it went the same day, seems to be old batch going from recent comments from here
Just got mine in, super furious that loose waist is a killer also missing a back peg. Not a good first start considering the super poor qc. Great review though
I hade a kat her legs broke the wrist was loose and then metal arm will get loose and her right arm will pop of easily still works
Contact Wicked Cool Toys. They have been very good about replacing faulty figures. 👍
The sculpt and articulation look really good, however, the figure is let down by what seems to be really poor QC which is a real shame. The paint definitely could be better but isn't bad by any means.
The Wicked Cool Toys team is aware and are fixing the QC issues asap they said. In fact, if you have problems with yours, they say to email them and they see about fixing or replacing your figure.
I got kat too and on mine her back has that hole filled in and there's a leg sticking out. Maybe you're is just missing
Yup. The Peg on mine is very MIA. I finally found a replacement and the Peg is there. Can see it through the box window. lol
I'm pretty sure the hole in her back is for a flight stand. Transformers have a similar hole in certain spots and companies make flight stands for a bunch of different figures

Throw some pledge one those loose joints so you can stiffen them up.
Pledge is actually off the market now, but there's another floor polish company, Rejuvenate, that does the same thing.
I wonder if they were trying to give her, her scar that runs down to her left eye (wrong position on the figure if vourse)

@@FaceSmackerStudios Me too. They made chief and Jerome significantly taller than the Mark V(b) and Mark VII which is accurate. George will hopefully be slightly taller than Chief (7'4" vs 7'2")
I’m going to be honest, these lack in paint detail while McFarlane Toys Halo figures didn’t. I feel like they need to put out more effort on the paint.
I’m going to wait for series 2 master chief.
personally I dont care about design flaws or anything cause I don't plan on opening these figures i just want to collect them.

I just got my figure and she's super flimsy. Some of her extra hands don't even fit cause the joints are too small. But mine had a peg on her back where yours was missing.
Eek, I'd see about exchanging her for a new one if you can. Otherwise contact Jazwares/Wicked Cool Toys by email. They seem pretty good about fixing it or replacing it.
Is it the snap that broke her waist joint cause I kinda want her but don't know if she is worth it.
You take the side peg and put it on the back for the gun i think
Thigh Pig might fit in the back and that's maybe be why it's so long

The only figures I can remember the names to in wave 2 are Jerome and Emile
the thing on the back is a qc issue. its supposed to have a peg that comes out the back for the spartan laser. also, my copy of kat has a buunch more paint aps and a shiny visor so it looks like you just got a bad copy
I think the thigh peg is supposed to go into the chasm in the back

My figure had the peg for holding the gun and my also had the shine on the visor
The robotic arm doesn’t have a butterfly joint that’s how the cybernetic joint connects to the suit. You’re talking about game accuracy yet clearly don’t know.
I really hope these QC issues aren't common. Some floor polish in torso ball joint should tighten it up. And some petroleum jelly in the hips should help too. I've been waiting on good halo figures for so long and these might not be it either. Mcfarlanes are way too small and the Mattel ones are trash. :/ Excellent review though.
Thanks! And we'll have to see how the line improves over time (or doesn't improve..) So fingers crossed they fix the issues we're having.

You could try to use some tissue paper or toilet paper around the ball joint so that when it goes into the socket for the waist it has more grip. Pledge floor cleaner works as well I've heard
Been meaning to try the super glue technique actually. lol

The Wicked Cool Toys Halo line is way better than the Mettel one. Nice review. I hope they make an Emile.

Kat and Chief don't look half bad sculpt wise except for those peg holes. But everything else, in my opinion, needs to be modified.

Lol. Can't beat the nostalgia of those figures. Even with the terrible Chief helmet sculpt for Halo 2. 😂🤪 I think I may have given mine away because of that. I regret that now. 🤦♂️
Yours came broken the hole and her back is supposed to be a peg with a piece deepen as you can and I have all the Spartan series action figures and mine came with a Peg
