Australia is an island, according to what I was taught. The Australian “continent” is really just Oceania, including Australia, but not limited to Australia. Australia isn’t it’s own continent, its in Oceania, and therefore is an island. That’s always what I’ve learnt since I was a little kid, and after some research it’s debated a lot.
