Hey Carolina! Great to see you again! Never before have I seen a butterfly sign ! What's that about? No, butterflies! What's the point ? butterflies can't read, can they?😃
What is Winston Churchill photo doing there? Did you know that he visited Casablanca in 1943 from 14th jan to 24th Jan, smoking his Cuban cigars whilst the rest of Europe struggled to find food to lay on their tables. That's politicians for you! Splendid old chaps 😉 It's like Boris Johnson when he turned 10 Downing st to a private shebeen club during lockdown. Lovely jubbly. Greetings from Casablanca, bye for now.
I’ve just seen this, probably too late but here it is and because of you I have added all the details to the description for future visitors. TOUR GUIDE DETAILS: ADIL BENIHIA +35054059252 adil.benihia@gmail.com and speaks English, Spanish, French, Italian and Arabic.
The name of the territory is derived from the original Arabic name Jabal Ţāriq (جبل طارق), meaning "mountain of Tariq". It refers to the Berber Umayyad general Tariq ibn-Ziyad, who led the Moorish invasion of Iberia in 711.
Don't let a Gibraltarian hear you say that you don't blame the spanish for wanting it back. It only really belonged to what we now know as Spain for about 200+ years. It was the Romans, then the Visigoths, then the Moors until the reconquista in the 1490s. So when Spain lost it (basically in the same way they won it, by warfare), they had not owned it for that long.
