- Join The Washington Post as Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump face off in Philadelphia at the ABC News Presidential Debate. It’s the first debate between Harris and Trump, but the second presidential debate this year. A few weeks after the first, between Trump and President Joe Biden in June, Biden, who performed poorly, dropped out of the race and Harris became the Democratic nominee.

Good Question. The Tariffs in place are an attempt to correct the trade balance. Policy is subject to a great deal of Anti China rhetoric backed up by constant reporting of what China has been doing. The US Military always has a boogeyman to justify their budget, China is the new one, even though Russia is bombing Ukraine, committing crimes around the world and threating nuclear war.
China is aggressive, China wants to dominate Economically and Diplomatically, why is a question no one is asking. One answer I do know is that China as productive and successful as they are must exchange their Yuan for US Dollars to pay debts, make purchases and much more, this costs them a great deal of time and money.
Massive changes are coming in how the West, USA, EU, address China, most notably the drop in demand for EV batteries and falling enthusiasm for Chinese EV's. For instance Vietnam is building a billion dollar plant here in the US to produce EV's with the help of the USA. So it really does not have anything to do with Communism, I think it is about Chinese aggression. But then like most nations it's not the people it's their government.
I don't think Tariffs, Policy or China is going to be discussed on a stage in front of the American people.

Was an interesting 3 vs 1 debate tonight, that's for sure. Especially when one of them obviously received the questions beforehand and possibly even wore a Nova Earring microphone.
Here’s what I saw. I saw a woman who was able to face up to her verbal attacker or bully. There were several moments that struck me. The handshake and her being able to turn around and look directly at him and say what she was feeling in a presidential way. The way he was behaving was scary. If I were in that position I would be terrified. But what I liked for a majority of the time she was calm and not afraid of him. I live on the other side of the border and I will be watching. But it was awesome seeing her up there. You don’t have to fear. Because he’s a boy inside a man’s body. So proud of you. He was crazy it’s so obvious that he walked in looking like a loser and walked out a loser
I think a lot of people who have supported Trump previously are too embarrassed to admit they were sucked in by his celebrity and persona and are sticking with him for that reason. A lot of MAGA supporters don’t want to appear in the wrong so stuck with it as it is safe. I actually feel sincerely sorry they feel that way and that they feel afraid to change their vote. I’d like them all to know that it’s ok to change your mind. Don’t feel you’ll be judged by your past but more your future. If I can offer support to those people and have a discussion and say it’s ok then I’d love to help.

For the President of the United States, the utmost priority should be the life and welfare of the American people. As the nation with the strongest economy, it is unquestionable that Americans should receive free education, healthcare, minimal taxes, and substantial subsidies for housing, food, fuel, etc., along with support for the less fortunate. Again, the well-being of the American people is paramount. Please stop disrespecting the American people.
Furthermore, it is crucial to cease blaming and fretting over other nations. Labeling other countries as enemies, criminals, or terrorists must stop. Instead, there should be respect for their humanity, adulthood, cultures, religions, and beliefs. Forcing ideologies on others is not the way; rather, building friendships, honoring differences, and learning from one another is. The world is for everyone, not just the United States, and no one is superior to another.
Only when the American President embraces this, the world will respect the United States i.e. not respect due to their military might, but a deep respect as human beings. Only then, you will see the world become a much better and harmonious place for all. Respect cannot be demanded; it must be earned.
