Interesting approach! Did you also input self-fabricated flight data that simulates more extreme scenarios to verify that your system can handle those events as well?
That's the goal! I can also do that manually by jerking the rocket around by hand too. Like we are ascending but something breaks and the pitch control gets stuck to max displacement. Then I can see in the CLI it trigger the FTS and try to blow the chute. I also can have it operate in integrated setup with the pad so it all gets tested as a unit
My ADD is telling me to build one! The realistic part of my brain says I would then have 15 unfinished projects instead of 14 (and less money to finish any of them).
damnit i just randomly stumbled upon this video and think i have found my newest obcesion. i need to bust out my 3d printer and learn to design and build these. they are like the perfect test item to learn a ton of stuff across the STEM disciplines building, testing and rebuilding. are there any good resources you might recomend? i can do some arduino stuff and basic programming already.
Fantastic topic & coverage!!! However I doubted if someone had slipped something into my tea or if I was just going crazy due to the ill-inducing "sfx"/video glitches/"production value", makes it *literally* unwatchable for some of us.
I have actually! its functional but then it is more dissimilar in MMOI, and the sensor systems im using. KOS is good for understanding PID theory though. I built an F9 RTLS code once.
It takes a decent amount of time! My full time job is like most of my time obviously so I am only able to work on this project off work. I last launched in like march so 3 months or so of this and work means I get pretty delayed...

Thanks for the great channel

Hi, Nice work 😃

Awesome 😎 Great job 💪
Did you start with something like Betadflight or Ardupilot?
why don't you practice with kOS in KSP? it's already a fully simulated launch

Awesome
EPIC!
Which programming language do you use
Which programming language do you use while coding? python, C++, java Which one is it ?
When do you have time for this? You have a full time job?

Do you also share code in the Patreon?
