I'm Dodger fan since 70's. Max Muncy a great player witb a lot of talent. I saw Max playing with Jalisco Charros in Pacific Mexican League. He Is a nice person too

I remember going to an A's game a couple years ago in Oakland, asking my cousins about Max Muncy, and why his stats were so poor. They told me he was just an awful player, so when I heard about his feats with the Dodgers it really is an awesome comeback in a way hahah. Happy as fuck for him

Carlos Inda same. I remember his dodger debut against San Diego. He had a homer his first game. Went like 1-20 next few games. Thought that was the new of him. Crazy how that stuff happens

Shades of Justin Turner who didn't quite catch on with the Mets, they let him go, LA picked him up and he became an All Star. Munchies got the power, but not the overall hitter Turner is. Still nice trash to treasure pick up by the Dodgers.

I've been wrong many times about many things, but this comment was pretty spot on.
The main point was even more right than I thought. Munchy IS a great "trash to treasure" pickup, much like Justin Turner AND Munchy has even since become an All Star as well. That part aged really well.
Munchy still has very good power, in fact his power has only increased.
The only part you might quibble with a bit is that "Munchy is not quite the overall hitter Turner is." But Justin Turner has and continues to hit for a better average than Munchy every year so one could argue Turner is still a slightly better overall hitter.

Oakland should've NEVER messed with Muncy's swing after he had that breakout season for their High-A club six years ago. Had they done that, he would've been one of their primary offensive cogs on their current parent club roster instead of the Dodgers' right now. Hope they learned a valuable lesson from all this, lol...
