Kyle Bergmann I love you! 💞 Thanks so much for this video, for all of your video’s as I really needed this and your encouragement! I was literally in bed crying and wondering does it get any better and watched this and you made me laugh and smile so thank you so much! Keep the video’s coming coz you have surely helped me! Thank you 💞
You have a very interesting technique - you are pushing the cob down onto the lower dentures and slightly rotating it in towards your mouth - so your lower dentures are relatively passive.
Thanks for making these videos Kyle, I had 29 extractions and 9 implants with healing caps on may2 2019 temporary denture on the 9th. Took 1 hydrocodone the night of the extractions cause I was afraid as the numbing continued to wear off I wouldnt be able to sleep. Didnt really need any pain medication. ( Dont try that at home kids) Course of antibiotic and dosepack of methylprednisolone steroid. Good skill on the doc's part and luck that part of it went really well. A week later went back for temporary denture did minor adjustment to the upper, put in softline and it has been trouble free. Lower took 3 tries at softline with adjustments in between and had to just take what I had cause the relines were sticking and damaging the surgical sites and that methylene chloride was getting HOT. They missed it bad on the geometry of the lower somehow. Go back at the end of the month to get stitches out, check on bonegraft socket fills. I've had hell with the lower. Way more pain with the lower denture than with extractions and implants. Of all the people making denture adventure stories on youtube you are the one I relate to most. Congrats on the Corn on the Cob, a major milestone. Keep chompin away at it.
At 3 months in it's getting doable. Turns out that the main problem was that the gum tissue had healed over one of the healing caps so every time I tried to bite down with any pressure it was pinching that gum tissue between a screw head and the denture. Finally, about 5 weeks in, I "cut that tooth" and it became possible to eat. Up until then it was fully blended or chew it with a knife, smash with a fork or just swallow chunks. Still a bit uncomfortable but at least I can reasonably eat a meal in about 45 minutes, though I did have to bail on the rest of the fried okra at lunch today. I sure wanted them to redo the softline when I went back to get the stitches out but they refused and I didnt press the matter, in hindsight I probably should have though. I'm still trying to get dialed in to where to put the adhesive and how much, some days it will set up and do ok other days not. The key thing for me is Lotsa Fixodent. 3 little strips, no way, pack em full. And try not to talk or drink that first 30 minutes to let it mush around and fill in the low spots. Studied up on densurefit or something else but I dont want to mess the denture up or cause a problem for the doc later (will it void the warranty?). so just dealing with it the best I can. I was already a grouch before this ordeal, been intolerable since ; ) I go for the locators for the lower on Sep 10, I hope the worst of it is passed. After reading M Wall's story I am left to question, Where have all the craftsmen gone?
@@laserflexr6321 When you find them, let me know. I actually changed Dentist's in hopes of getting an improved outcome. I'm left bewildered. Good luck with your implants. Your not a grouch, your just implant teething, lol

@@KyleBergmann Hi Kyle, There is no verdict. I'm going in for wax try in # 5. Every time they make what is supposed to be a subtle change the whole set up changes. I had one fantastic try in, with one major caveat. The midline was off. So I thought whole setup was just going to get shifted into mid position. No, I got the denture back and it looked like totally different teeth and slanted inward. So I went back in with the picture of the try in that was good. I told the Dentist to please give the lab tech the picture of the way he had it on 2nd try in. I couldn't believe I had to supply him a picture of his own work, when it was good. Now I'm losing confidence, and also wondering if I have a successful wax try in, if tech can even translate that into the permanent acrylic. Starting to appreciate my current immediate denture more now. Probably should of just got a hard liner on this one and called it a day. All I'm going with now is hope and a prayer. P.S., teeth falling out of wax when I was trying them in...are we having fun yet?

I am just about a month into wearing dentures not yet able to eat at all with these immediate dentures. You give me hope.

That is amazing, albeit a little corny. You have really made progress. Going in this week to meet the new dentist. Wish me luck.
Ok...so???. M, whats the verdict? Hi😊
