Hey James! I think seeing your joy around these collections that you love regardless of the market was super special and impactful to me. I recently got a comic called "Ambush Bug" issue 3. It's a small 2 dollar book that I was SUPER happy to get because I'm collecting all "Bat-Mite" appearances in DC comics. No one else cares about it but me and that's part of what makes it super special. Love the hunt! Keep it up! (coughCBCScough)
Ha. You're killing me man. I've wanted a 9.8 of GL 151 v3 for years now. I've got the lone graded 9.4 hanging on my wall downstairs. It was the issue that got me into collecting DC when I was a teenager. Very nice bunch of GL 9.8s! Sincerely, The Guy in 2nd Place on the Census. Lol.
I don't know if there are few people collecting the series now, but for me it's Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2006-2010 run. That run made a huge impact in my childhood and I also really enjoyed the storyline.
Hey James my collection consists of trying to get green lantern but especially all of blackest night and brightest day with the tie ins and crossovers etc. Graded of course variant if possible too haha but that's for the long run
Ok, my collection. I collect Hawkman because the artists, writers were always some of the best. I also collect Outlaw Kid comics because of the interior art of Doug Wildey, a realist artist. I collect Two-Gun Kid. I also collect Dell and Gold Key Lone Rangers. The Gold Key Lone Rangers is one issue short. I don't hear of too many people collecting those books.
If I am not mistake almost 2 years ago now I saw your Green Lantern collection for the first time and thought it was such a dope idea to collect everything on your favorite hero. So my goal since then has been to collect all volumes of my favorite Marvel hero Thor. Since I started collecting for him I noticed that not that many people actually read or collect his stuff, which was surprising considering his portrayal in the MCU has been so well received (not counting the dark world nor love and thunder)
I’m a “the Tick” collector. I have almost every variant, but I’m missing two. I have searched high and low, but have not been able to come across them. One day…
I have a lot of that run for Green Lantern. I lucked out getting some with the DC Universe logo. I can actually recall how I got those, my dad bought them for me at Toys'R'Us they were sold in polybags, I think. Good times.
I don't know how many people collect it but I'm deep into Star Wars collecting now. I have 2,3,4 5 6 all at CGC now being graded. I'm just a huge Star Wars fan. 😊
Totally awesomeness Brother. Thanks for letting Us in on Your Great memories. I started reading comics again after 30 years. Been buying reader copies. I still put them into a new bag and backboard. I just appreciate them. I also bought some short boxes. The first since 1989. Lots O'Fun. 😎👍❤️🇺🇸🇨🇦♥️📚📚📚📚📚✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️💯💯💯💯💯✨️✨️
What I’m collecting that no one else is are the ultimate comics. I started when I picked up two old sets of ultimates at a con . And I’m trying to get them all even before the relaunch. Just love the characters and stories
I remember the whole run of the green lantern. I didn't pick it up until after Kyle took over and read it until the end. I ended up picking up everything I didn't have as well but I have nothing graded for the series.
CGC is supposed to contact the previous owner and have them relinquish the book. If no contact occurs I thought they defaulted to the requester regardless. I've had that issue but they resolved within 1 or 2 days. That's not cool if you can't register your slabs!
For me i only collect jeff lemire comics anything fully written full art or both by jeff lemire i just love his writing style and his work is well reconized in the comic community won many awards he's canadian and in some of his comics are set in canada or have slight canadian themes or symbols which i love because im canadian great to see some representation so yeah, anything jeff lemire ill collect it
For anyone that might be interested in those 9.8 copies of Ultimate Spider-man, issue 37 is the first appearance of Ultimate Venom inside the comic book. He only appears on the covers on the earlier issues.
Those Green Lanterns are outstanding!!! I would love to for you to showcase the V3 run on this channel. As far as something I collect that nobody else does that would be easy. I have a huge Marvel collection minus Bugs Bunny, yes Bugs Bunny. I've never seen anyone ask for Bugs except for me at a convention or LCS. I have been bid against on eBay but that's about it for Bugs Bunny comics. Getting high grade Gold and Silver age Bugs Bunny is very difficult. Bronze Age isn't exactly easy either.
Dude, I have the entire Kyle Raynor run from 48-181. I even have #1,000,000. They aren't in near as good condition as yours, but I have them and read every single issue.
I have collected the full New Mutants 1-100 and the Graphic novel 1st appearance. I don't really know anyone else that collects that run. I just love the covers of the earlier half.
I collect Punisher! My big claim to fame is that I have Every Appearance of any book he may have guested in! I have German and English (England), a Couple Japanese, anything that he appears in, I have a copy. Not Slabbed yet, but I believe I have 5 Long boxes of Punisher Appearances, and all the Series as well.
Remember all those 1986 to 88 or so star comic books that marvel put out. Well I collect those. They are becoming harder and harder to come bye especially in higher grades. They were solicited more towards children and as such they were treated like toys and not collectibles. This makes it very hard.
My FAVORITE characters in Marvel have always been The Vision and Spidey. My current collecting 'hunts' are for any books that have the costumed Vision as a prominent character on the covers. My Wall books consist of 2 things.....prominent Vision covers and a handful of Spider-man vs Wolverine and a couple of Spideys e.g. ASM 300, Web of SM #1 newsie, Spiderman 1's & 13 all in CGC 9.8's 🙂 I do experience some challenges on Vision prominent covers.....but it doesn't seem to be a character that the comic community is going bat crazy for (unless they want the incentive variants to sell at crazy high prices!!!) I look forward to the show on Sunday 🙂 Let me know if you have any Vision prominent covers you want to sell before then my good Sir
The weird thing that I’ve collected that nobody else does is The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. I own every issue and variant cover over the entire 50 issue run. I also own her 1st appearance in Marvel Super-Heroes (Winter Special) #8 in a CGC 9.2 (I have yet to C.P.R. It) and I also have her 2nd, 3rd, etc… appearances in the 4-issue G.L.A. (Great Lakes Avengers) miniseries, all in CGC 9.8s. Yeah… I know it’s kinda weird.😊
@johnnydropkicks Nice! My daughter is into her, so i recently started a non-slabbed run for her. Missing about 15 or so. I got her, squirrel girl's 1st appearance slabbed pretty cheap.

I don't know if there are few people collecting the series now, but for me it's Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2006-2010 run. That run made a huge impact in my childhood and I also really enjoyed the storyline.
I enjoyed that series quite a lot
Loved that Dr Strange book. Classic 90s with the hologram cover. 😂
I started reading Green Lantern in the 90’s, from about issue 120 all the way through to the end of that run. Such fun stuff.
Currently collecting volume 2 of Green Arrow from 1988. Under 20 issues away from completion

Love vol 3 of GL. I have 0, 1, 28, 48-55, 60, 63-68 & 78. I have to get some of them slabbed.
I have a lot of that run for Green Lantern. I lucked out getting some with the DC Universe logo. I can actually recall how I got those, my dad bought them for me at Toys'R'Us they were sold in polybags, I think. Good times.
I loved collecting Usagi Yojimbo, The Badger, Robotech, Star Blazers, Battle of the Planets, Doom Patrol, Metamorpho and Alpha Flight.
Awesome bunch of books. The collector in me would find it very hard to part with some of these.
Daredevil vol 2 is my go to for not well known collections. Love the mack art
Collecting LSH 284 through 306. Have CGC 9.6/9.8 run but missing 300 as the last book. Legion books have low census counts
I've been collecting Spider-Woman slabs, all keys, alot of signed books
Nice!
I don't know how many people collect it but I'm deep into Star Wars collecting now. I have 2,3,4 5 6 all at CGC now being graded. I'm just a huge Star Wars fan. 😊
Spanner's Galaxy was a great DC mini-series that I read a lot back in the wayback whens.
Dark Claw is amazing! Need to redo that.

Loved this. GL #71 was the first comic I ever bought. Still have it and the whole run.
Love me some Strange. Reminds me of my summers at my grandparents. I will be on the hunt for the #46 on Sunday
Nice! if you want to claim it early just say so!
Some really cool books here dude!

Loved Ultimate Spidey, Ultimate Fantastic Four, and the Ulitmates
I picked up the Omnis for the first BB/MB Ult. Spidey run and my daughter is now reading volume 1. Best way to collect!!
X-factor vol 3. My all time favorite. I don't have any graded at this time but I just re baged and boarded them
Sick man!
I remember the whole run of the green lantern. I didn't pick it up until after Kyle took over and read it until the end. I ended up picking up everything I didn't have as well but I have nothing graded for the series.
I remember going to Sam’s club and my mom buying a bundle pack of 12 DC Comics in early 90s which had BA12 and death of Superman books included.
I'm trying to finish my run of Batman from # 400 to 700 in still a bit shy of completing I need about 135 issues to complete the run.
CGC is supposed to contact the previous owner and have them relinquish the book. If no contact occurs I thought they defaulted to the requester regardless. I've had that issue but they resolved within 1 or 2 days. That's not cool if you can't register your slabs!

James, if Clayface is #4, what are 1-3?
I have never read fantastic four. Which omnibus would recommend to start?
Do you have too pay extra for the 9.8? Five years ago CGC didn’t grade 9.8s
Gold Key Magnus Robot Fighter. I need 2 issues. They're very hard to find in High Grades
Nice books!!!
I’m all about the 90s gimmick covers

DANG - that's a solid collection mate!
DarkHawk and Sleepwalker, New Warriors!

Awesome
I’m in the process of sending my original teen titans copies for grading. I could get 9.8 but I just want mine preserved.
You make great content!
I really did enjoy the Kyle Rayner run for Green Lantern
Good man!

I’ve been hunting the goosebumps series from IDW
Matt and I still play magic occasionally lol
I was hoping you’d see this
Continuity comics "Armor" and "Megalith"
I would like all Jeff the land shark
Your T-shirt with the German word Übermensch really distractes me😅
Sometimes you have to just go for the art, regardless of value.

Action comics
I love comics but most are worthless....I don't care what anybody says.
