    Thanks for the vid. Bought some Pentosin CHF-11S from Amazon--> 20ltr -->$11.45 per ltr with tax. Good for 2 uses at 10ltr's per flush. The dealership would charge you anywhere from $25 to $30 per ltr. Got 2 of the ABC filters from Amazon @ $36 ea. The dealership would charge me $55 ea. for the ABC filter. The hose clamp, 1/2 to 1/2 inch barb, and clear hose were all under $7 at home depot.👍 👏👏👏👏👏 Total outlay $229(fluid) + $72(filters) + $7 = $308. Compared to the dealership--> $250 ($25 per ltr x 10ltrs) + $55 abc filter + $80 labor ($40 per hour) = $385 for 1 flush = $770 for 2 flushes. I've heard at other dealerships charging $500 per flush.

    Hello,
    Just an advice for those who want to listen.
    I'm a retired mechanic who worked in the 70ies on Citroën DS hydraulic systems.
    One of the main reasons for blockage in the system is the deterioration of the rubber membrane in the sphere accumulators.
    If your suspension oil is black, there is a probability that the accumulators are starting to die.
    Maybe it is wise to change them. 😀
    Good luck, take care.
    👍

    If you take your car to what ever type of repair shop, photograph as much as you can of your car including under the hood (bonnet), trunk (boot) and run a felt tip with squiggly lines on the battery, don't forget your wheels and tyres. Do this just before you go. When you collect your car have a good look around it and see that nothing has been switched for inferior items or damage.

    I'm about to do this procedure on a W221 yes I ordered the AGA tool, and the rest of the stuf, I got everything down except one thing, what level do you keep the fluid in the reservoir while adding ? and at what point exactly do you stop adding and shutting off the engine (simultaneously I assume) thanks, you missed that part in the video so I can see clear vs dirty when you stopped.

      @@nassimnassim6019 yes I did this already a while back what do you need to know exactly ? Just keep the level in the reservoir high enough so no air get into the system not too much though leave room for the filter , the best way to tell is look at the level once you remove the filter and keep it right around there , and have someone raise and lower the car while you’re adding the fluid , once you see clear enough fluid (to your liking) stop and shut the car off immediately , do not add anymore fluid because when you put the filter back the level is gonna go up, put everything back together check fluid level top it off , drive around for 15-20 and raise and lower the car a few time while doing so, drive over bumps a few time do back home and check your level once more

      @@gusf8451 hey thanks for the reply, no i do not currently own a w220 or w221 at all, currently as all the garage that can work on such vehicule, that aren't pure scam(they fit counterfeit part and refurbished part, and sometime "leak" oil into your engine or turbo causing combustion, and like to forget the key inside the car) are +400 km away from me, don't get me started on the ridiculous price or missdiagnostic indeed i know a restaurant owner who bought a second hand s320 and drove over 350000 km in it and they keep making him pay for the wrong part instead of rebuilding his airmatic strut. The only way for me to ever have a chance to decently own such a vehicule is to look and ask question about the maintenace.

    hi thanks for amazing video.i have a question. Is the 2 reserviors(abc and power steering) together??? i mean if i will flush the ABC fluid so it menas that my power steering fluid will also be changed??

    • @SHOoffNYC
      @SHOoffNYC  7 років тому

      Turan Huseynli no they are separate reservoirs. If you flush abc fluid from its reservoir, it will not flush the power steering. You will have to change the power steering fluid separately.

    • @turanhuseynli105
      @turanhuseynli105 7 років тому

      Oh thank you for answer. And i have one more question. Sometimes front right side goes down. What do you think!? Problem is in strut or on abc pump?

    • @SHOoffNYC
      @SHOoffNYC  7 років тому

      Turan Huseynli it depends on when/how it happens. Are there any leaks? Do you notice any fluid drop under that side? Does that side go up to normal when you start the car? Do you hear abnormal noise from the pump? IF there are no leaks and the right side goes down only after car sitting in one place for some time, then it's either the accumulator or the valve block. Most likely it's a dirty valve block but it could also be the accumulator.

    • @turanhuseynli105
      @turanhuseynli105 7 років тому

      Hmm i understand. There is no any leaks and any noise. When i stop car turn off. After 30 minutes it goes down. When i start the car it shows stop the car. The car is too low. But when i change transmission from P to any (R N D) it comes to normal position. I think if i will change valve block seals everything will be ok. But my master says that these seals are not OEM. If we will change them after few month all the seal ring will be die

    • @SHOoffNYC
      @SHOoffNYC  7 років тому

      It would depend on how you rebuild the valve blocks. I haven't heard much issues with people who had replaced the O-rings on the blocks themselves. But maybe some had problems if they did not replace all the O-rings in the valve blocks. Sometimes people miss certain O-rings when they rebuild them. You would have to get the complete O-ring kit when you want to rebuild them. But that issue definitely sounds like a valve block issue where it does not retain the fluid and leaks from the O-rings.

    Why not just check the fluid and keep it at the correct level?
    Is new hydrolic fluid going to do something different than what's in there? Exactly the same. It's not oil it doesn't get dirty.
