  • @TRINInDC925
    @TRINInDC925 8 місяців тому +6

    I've seen your other videos on the battery powered options. As the water from the bucket might be the feature that works best for me as well as not having to run an extension cord. But you hit it on the head, the batteries. I don't have any of these tools so no investment in the battery or chargers yet. And living in the city presents its own challenges.
    I still watch the videos and like seeing the reviews and testing.
    I like the sign cleaning, watch those videos on YT as well. There's something about seeing something dirty and getting cleaned. I feel the same as you do with foam. That's the part I connect with and even want to wash my car more often, just need to figure out the option that doesn't cost much that doesn't take up much space and isn't that noisy that will provide the foam. At least one that is better than what I already have but your videos have given me a lot of ideas. Plus I never use to enjoy washing my car and now I wish I can more often than I get time to do so.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  8 місяців тому +1

      It’s all about the experience. Washing used to be a chore, but like you over time I am wanting to do it. All these toys to play with and the foam is therapy. Agreed on the batteries being expensive which is just too much if you don’t already have them. This unit actually worked pretty well to clean the back porch which is raised off the second story of my house. I just got buckets of hit water from the sink and used to clean the pollen off everything.

    • @TRINInDC925
      @TRINInDC925 8 місяців тому +3

      You said it perfectly, it use to feel like a chore. All about the experience.
      The problem now that I have since I have experienced using a foam cannon, I want more foam. Lol which leads to a better setup.
      Oh this one can use hot water, that's good to know. Some of these pressure washers are only cold water use. I'll keep that in mind.
      I may rewatch all the battery powered options, that may be the best way for me to go. Portability, size. I wish I could invest in the better gpm machines but the weight and cost also makes them difficult to justify. Was thinking about a wash cart but don't really have a place to store that either.
      Your reviews and testing are so helpful and also fun to watch the bloopers as I can very much relate to them.
      Thanks for the uploads.

    • @CarsWithKeav

      @@TRINInDC925 Appreciate that. Also, remember the word hot and cold in this industry can be misleading most hot water heaters in the U.S. are set at between 120 and 130 and cold water is usually anything less than 140. Just need to look at the specs to make sure. I ran hot water from the sink yesterday cleaning my back porch and it ran great. Also, that warmer water makes the siphon hose lose it coil and straighten out.

      Well for this price range there isn’t much, but I do prefer the EZ Clean by Ryobi it’s a hit less powerful, but so much more versatile. If you count the cost of two batteries this would be about $650. Greenworks and Ego both have amazing battery pressure washer at $800 doing 3K PSI. Ryobi has their 1500 PSI one for $600 with two batteries.

Biggest use for me is when the weather outside isn't ideal (too hot or too cold) I'll pre-wash and do wheels outside, then bring it in the garage for a rinseless. My garage isn't setup to handle gallons of water. Great drying aid too. ADS is releasing Hero tonight on Eddie's channel, really looking forward to that.
      The sponges are "meh" at picking up dirt, but great at releasing dirt into a bucket since it's so porous. Microfiber towels are excellent at latching onto dirt but can be difficult to release dirt. Releasing the dirt is super important to prevent any swirls or scratches when using rinseless.

    I have all three of these units, they all have their place but I do feel that they are all overpriced.
    As a side note, Ryobi permanently banned me from commenting on their UA-cam channel because I said one of their products was way too much money for what it was. 😆

      Anything battery powered especially a newer market will always be overpriced just due to the lower sell volume and R&D. In the next few years they will be much cheaper just like the battery powered blowers and trimmers are starting to become cheaper. Of course against a wall plug unit there is a whole battery that is involved as well. I do agree they are expensive. Except maybe the ez clean now which is coming down in price.

    Not worth it at least not for detailing, just with the 1.0 gpm killed it

      Unless you use this with a rinseless wash as a way to apply and knock off some dirt, but I think the EZ clean hand held would be better at that.

    POS, compared to its competitors. Folks that buy this did not do their homework.

      What are the competitors in this price range outside of the one I already mentioned. Just honestly wanting to know I have not done much research in this category outside of a few brands.

      Folks that buy this probably already have the batteries.

      @@Pro1er Very true, I for sure wouldn’t buy one just for this. I’ve got more Ryobi batteries than I could even use. Every time I need a tool I get the one with a battery and I start cycling out my older batteries or the older lower AH ones. Im still waiting for him to tell me the competitors that make this a POS especially in this price range.

      @@fernze.6478 It would work well for that, but I think the Ryobi EZ clean would be even better. Much more portable and no hose as it’s built into the sprayer. Did a review on it here ua-cam.com/video/Vot1miL9aes/v-deo.htmlsi=ecU0-5sQFDUVWHNj
