I just had one of these as a loaner while my IS 350 was in for its 10k service…. No BS, I’m VERY seriously considering trading in my IS 350 for one of these! I was “holy shit” impressed by how well this thing rode and drove! It had the SMOOTHEST automatic transmission I’ve EVER experienced. It literally feels like a CVT but it’s not! It was insane and it blew my mind that an automatic GEARED transmission could be engineered THAT smoothly. I was DAMN impressed! Beyond that, the comfort, space and styling of these are absolutely top-notch! The wood steering wheel really stood out and was a very elegant touch! The RX literally felt like a SUV version of my IS! Except WAY smoother and comfy. I’ve never been a SUV guy, but after driving that RX 350, I’m sold! I just traded our 1 year old Genesis GV80 for a 2022 Lexus RX350 Luxury. I’ll be honest…. the style, tech, interior and performance sucks compared to the GV. The RX is however a much nicer ride and the steering is also waaaay better. The main reason we turfed our GV was a very poor dealership experience, poor after-sales service and very questionable reliability in the winter months. The 2 winters we had the GV…. it ran rough in -25 celsius or colder. Hyundai mechanic said that was normal across all of Hyundais V6 engines. 😳 Heat also stopped blowing from the entire passenger side of the car. They currently do not have a fix for this issue and we have been out of heat since mid-December and it is now February…. dealership told me to write into Genesis Canada to get the issue expedited to Korean techs. They had 8 other GV’s in waiting for a fix on the no-heat issue. 😳 My experience has sucked with Genesis and this is only a couple of problems we’ve had. We wanted to go back to Toyota as our previous dealership had been awesome as well as all our Toyotas but we wanted more luxury and got the RX350. We take it home in a month. It definitely doesn’t garnish the attention the GV does.
@beri232; I hear you, after over 17 vehicles through the years I finally decided two years ago for the luxury 2022 Lexus RX 350, there is no comparison with the others (Germans and Americans) like the V6 smooth sailing, and everything in it, since I have an extensive CD collection its refreshing to have a CD player, most important Lexus reliability, quality and it runs on 87 octane gasoline, that’s a big plus compared to other so-so 4cylinder turbo engines. Dealer experience has been great, with loaner and refreshments, nothing else compares.
I was shopping for one of these. It looks like you had the Luxury trim in the video: Triple Beam LED Headlamps, 20-inch wheels, Mark Levinson system, Power-Folding rear seats, Rear Door Sun Shades, Panorama Moonroof, etc. Awesome vehicle.
Huge advantage of RX over its competitors you failed to mention is it runs just fine on regular fuel (not the hybrid I understand). I’m not aware of another premium SUV like this that does not require premium. This will save some real money every year if you drive a lot.
So, true. I was surprised many salespeople don't even know this and its a huge added advantage for the V6. Similar to the hybrid, many don't know they come with 8 year/195 000km warranty (might slightly differ country to country)
If you have 60k to spend on a so call 'luxury car', then don't be cheap LOL. Engine runs more smoothly & responsive on premium, my personal experience.
True. It runs on regular but I hardly call an RX350 a “premium” vehicle. Ancient tech, awful infotainment (dated as hell), no performance and a mild step up from Toyota in terms of luxury. I wanted to love the RX350 due to its reliability ratings but we ultimately chose the GV80 Prestige and have been extremely happy so far.

Still lousy outdated low resolution infotainment system and outdated interior. Great power train but too small inside and $10k customer gauge over msrp. No thanks I’ll pass! ( check out the super teched out MDX) nice!
Ah, so you mean the 2.0L turbo engine vs the 3.5L NA bulletproof engine? Or how most people will get in and literally just plug their phone in for Android/Apple car function? I personally use an AUX cord with a Dragonfly DAC in my IS 350 and rarely ever even look at the infotainment screen. Because, you know, I focus on driving my damn car lol….
First of all, I'd never trust a Lincoln over a Lexus any day of the week and twice on Sundays, especially over a long period of time. Secondly, the Aviator damn well better be superior because a fully loaded model goes for $25-30k more than its fully loaded Lexus counterpart.
In the JD Power survey the Aviator did not do too well. But most of the buyers said they loved it! It is beautiful and the interior is spectacular! But foe me, reliability is NO. 1
I am so sick of these SUV's, Lexus takes entirely to long to introduce all new models. This one is so outdated compared to its competition its pathetic.
How it is outdated? The design is great, has all the safety features you could want. The infotainment has what you’d want. The only thing you could really I suppose complain about is the NA 3.5L engine…. Which is tried and true and bulletproof. Hell, most people these don’t want turbocharged engines at the cost of reliability. What’s outdated?
@@shawng4886 the interior interior is outdated compared to the competition. Like did you seriously ask that look at the year this model was introduced they have stretched this design entirely to long, and that has been the complaint 90% all there costumers including myself. That's why I expressed my opinion.
@@Coupe-sy9nk compared to Acura, Audi, BMW? Because with Audi and BMW you’re looking at SUVs upwards of $80k… Personally, I think there’s something to said about simplicity in design. I had a loaner RX while my IS was getting its 10k service done and I honestly saw nothing wrong with the RX cabin… it was luxurious yet simple and elegant. Beautifully designed and ergonomic. Loved the wood steering wheel! I’m probably going to trade in my IS for one…
Sadly, the same ugly chicken wire facia and the same horrible seats that you find in any Lexus and Toyota lines. My daughter has a 2020 and I get backache after 2 hour ride. I love my 2015 Volvo XC60 and I have 80k of flawless luxury miles in it. I can drive the Volvo from SF to LA none stop without any back pains. No one makes a more comfortable seat than Volvo.
I just bought a 22 RX 350. I actually considered the XC60 but I know people who had issues with them. I had a Lexus before and put 145K on it and never had one issue, and once the warranty had expired, i took it to Toyota to service it for half the price. I'll stick w my Lexus RX but I can see the appeal of the Volvo, Happy Driving.

Lmao, unless you’re 105… it takes less than a second to put your hands back on a steering wheel… relax bud…
How about road noise at freeway speeds?
They're awesome on the higher speeds, very well insulated. Jim, if you enjoy Lexus reviews I've made a few including the RX. If you have time feel free to check it out and let me know :)
@@SergCarReviews MB c300 sedan is very noisy on the 70mph freeway drives..Tires, I was told but, I think, more aftermarket sound proofing is needed.
@@JamesJMurata5130 The sound insulation on those isn't too great I've noticed. Tires can be it... what are you running now? And what size?

I have to add
Ben is such a cutie
horn-ball
Just got rid of my 2017 RX looks exactly like this one ! Nice confortable ride and kept tell myself reliability but it was just such a boring car to drive for me…
Reliability can be "boring" switch from a Toyota/Lexus and you WILL be in for some excitement... choose wisely 😆
And yet, here you are reminiscing ...
What is exactly "Pretty Crazy" about 3 person memory seats in a Lexus? LOL
I know right, my 13 Lexus es350 has 4 lol
Either I missed it or it’s a typical bait and switch or just lack of basic details to note what trim level we are looking at, since a lot of the features can cost 10’s of thousands dollars extra and are not available on base model. Indeed here is a 2022 review that shows the window sticker of $46,000 and each of the $9,000 in options the car has taking price to over $55,000.

40 miles in a school zone?
Still lousy outdated low resolution infotainment system and outdated interior. Great power train but too small inside and $10k customer gauge over msrp. No thanks I’ll pass! ( check out the super teched out MDX) nice!
"Super teched out Lol". I like the MDX a lot but it's infotainment screen isn't even a touch screen. Not really what I'd call super techy.
This or the Nissan Murano?
Unless money is a primary factor, there's no comparison.
The Lexus RX is a great family car but I think the Lincoln Aviator is better.
First of all, I'd never trust a Lincoln over a Lexus any day of the week and twice on Sundays, especially over a long period of time. Secondly, the Aviator damn well better be superior because a fully loaded model goes for $25-30k more than its fully loaded Lexus counterpart.
Yeah, I think the Lincoln Aviator is waaaay better.
See if you feel that way at 75k...if it makes it that far?
In the JD Power survey the Aviator did not do too well. But most of the buyers said they loved it! It is beautiful and the interior is spectacular! But foe me, reliability is NO. 1
They still put that cruise control on that lame stalk like my 10 year old Tundra... Come om
The parking button and hold button are placed in a bad place. When you shift to park basically the shift blocks you hand from reach the button 🤦🏽♂️
It puts the handbrake on automatically so basically you wouldn't need to reach for it anyways
Slow down matey. We will understand you better
Hi Bernie, if you enjoy Lexus reviews I've made a few including the RX. If you have time feel free to check it out and let me know :)
Isn't that a Rav 4
Because with Audi and BMW you’re looking at SUVs upwards of $80k…
Personally, I think there’s something to said about simplicity in design. I had a loaner RX while my IS was getting its 10k service done and I honestly saw nothing wrong with the RX cabin… it was luxurious yet simple and elegant. Beautifully designed and ergonomic. Loved the wood steering wheel! I’m probably going to trade in my IS for one…
@@shawng4886 Great! Glad you like it.

If I were in the market for an SUV which I am not this is definitely off my list.
Lmao, 4th comment I’ve seen by you…. The fuck did Lexus do to you, bud? Lol
No one makes a more comfortable seat than Volvo.
who cares?
I just bought a 22 RX 350. I actually considered the XC60 but I know people who had issues with them. I had a Lexus before and put 145K on it and never had one issue, and once the warranty had expired, i took it to Toyota to service it for half the price. I'll stick w my Lexus RX but I can see the appeal of the Volvo, Happy Driving.
Sure would have been cool if you answered the question you put in the fucking title!
Hey mate, if you enjoy Lexus reviews I've made a few including the RX. If you have time feel free to check it out and let me know :) Also nothing has changed except a few buttons having different drawings (Aus spec anyways).
nothing changed since 2016 :)
Soo basic. Nothing special on the vehicle

Wow a little week on the horsepower I was expecting more! My F150 with a 3.5 L eco-boost of course is turbo charged but it puts out 400 hp and 500 foot pounds of torque this thing is a weakling.
Sure, but your Ford will be in the scrap heap well before the RX is even broken in.
🤦🏻♂️uhhhh yeah…. It’s TWIN turbocharged! Of course it’s got more power…. Have fun paying $70-80k for a F150 for what you get for $55k from a RX! Not to mention the basically worry-free reliability of Lexus….
This comment doesn't make sense, your comparing luxury SUV to a work pickup truck. If you wanna talk numbers, the dodge hell cat is 800 horsepower, so your truck is half of that car. Do you get it?
SLOW DOWN TALKING AND GIVE MORE ATTENTION TO DASH CONTROLS
