"let us never forget that here on Earth, on this mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam, is the only home we've ever known. It is a good home, crumbly but good." -Carl Sagan ('Pale Blue Dot')
I cried. Simply beautiful. Best videos I’ve seen for a very long time. Your narration should be translated for more people and kids to enjoy fully. Schools in Sweden have fallen behind in educational videos and yours would be absolutely perfect. 🤩
The problem isn't just about our size and the universe, but about presence. We can't even leave our solar system, let alone visit another star 570000000000000000 km away at the opposite edge of the milky way. But we can certainly touch trillions of electrons in an instant, so despite our universe size compared to them, we would be close.
Here is the highest compliment I can give you on this video. I showed it to my 2nd period Math Class. They are good kids, but energetic and getting them to be quiet for even a few minutes can be a chore. I started this video after a few minutes of prep, discussing scale, the stars, things like that. They were their usual talkative kids. 60 seconds into your video, you could have heard a pin drop. When you compared the size of the solar system to the tip of your finger, I saw several kids looking intently at thier fingertips, mouths wide-open in wonder. You got to them. You did it. This is truly inspiring work and I hope you continue to create more masterpieces such as this. Thank you, truly, for creating this.
What a fantastic message for me to read today, thank you so much for letting me know how it was received. It’s so wonderful to hear that it helped and that they connected with it, I couldn’t hope for more! Comments like this really motivate me and I can’t wait to share more this year with you!
@@EpicSpaceman So many of these type videos start great then get totally boring. Others start by saying "this is a proven fact" even if it's just a theory or even just an hypothesis. First timer here - subscribed.
@fredbarriskell6578 I did too lmao. While doing so, I had to pause the video and really think about the country surrounding me, while looking at my fingerprint, to understand, since i remember hearing somewhere that humans can't comprehend value's that large. I decided to stop and play the video when I remembered that there's a whole universe outside of our galaxy as well lol. Made me think, would the same rule apply to our galaxy against the rest of the universe?
"To an electron, you are a galaxy." I don't know why this quote made me emotional. I guess when you feel so insignificant in the grand scheme of things, this perspective really flips that narrative on it's head.
Except electrons are insignificant unconscious pieces of matter. It doesn't matter how big we are compared to them. The scale starts with the smallest living beings that exhibt some form of consciousness.
@@asggerpatton7169Completely agree. It's a beautiful quote still, but not entirely comparable to us and the universe, since we know about our existence and the existence of other things around us. And electronic obviously does not (or at least, not that we know of lol).
I've seen a lot of scale videos for celestial objects but nothing as beautifully created as this. You have a huge talent for tapping into a sense of child-like wonder, thank you.
Can you tell me the numerical ratios you used to calculate the size of our galaxy vs the orbits of our solar system’s planets? I’ve seen various visuals done by people online but I think some of them might be a little off. For example, some visuals show that if the Milky Way was the size of North America, our solar system would be about the size of quarter. I wasn’t sure about that so I did some calculations of my own to verify that. Based on my calculations… if we take the Milky Way to be 100 thousand light years wide, then using the average diameter of Pluto’s orbit (about 79 AU’s assuming the radius 39.5AU and ignoring the diameter of the Sun) then using the width of a quarter at 0.955 inches… With one light year being 63,241 AU’s, or about 800 times the diameter of Pluto’s orbit of 79 AU’s…. The Milky Way diameter of 100 thousand light years would be a circle with only a span about 1,200 miles, not the width of the USA. (1 mile is 5,280 feet times 12 inches.) How well did I do? Or did I miss something?
I used Neptune not Pluto in my video, with a diameter of 60AU, my fingertip I had at 28mm which puts the galaxy if 100KLY at 2951 km in diameter. I was working off the US being about 4000 km in diameter which is why in my graphics I have the galaxy not touching the edges of the US but this is where the leeway and margin for error comes in, in a big way. In 2018 a study into where they thought there wouldn’t be outer disk stars beyond 100KLY found them perhaps out as far as 200KLY or 6000 km in diameter of my scale, well beyond the edge of the US. So basically on my scale the MW is mostly in the 3000km diameter area but extends beyond this as it likely does in reality, it just depends on what method and how you define the edge, this is why I mentioned the solar system is a third to a half way out depending on how you measure where the edge is. The diameter is likely to change again in the future, as more stars are found further out and models made, for instance a 2020 study predicted the dark matter halo to be about a million LY in diameter! If it’s revised again in the future it’s likely to be bigger because we already know the bulk of the MW is in the 80KLY region. Hope that helps!
This is probably the coolest thing I’ve seen on UA-cam and I watch over 40 hours of content per week for the past 8 years. Thank you for this beautiful masterpiece!
@Batmann29 thank you so much! What a wonderful comment to get. It’s feedback like this that really helps to motivate me and get me excited about the next videos that I’m working on, I just want to keep making them special and better than the last. But maybe get them out a little faster too!
The representation of the Milky Way being to scale of the side of the United States and our sun fitting between the ridges of your fingerprint had me breathless. Your brain simply cannot process that information. It’s amazing
Thank you! The information really is astounding and one of those things I’m so happy to always have with me to refer to, whenever I want to think about the Milky Way I can access its scale with my own hand. So pleased you enjoyed the video so much!
'Your brain simply cannot process that information.' - But that is the astounding thing about this video, you actually can now comprehend it, its a logical and understandable scale. I have never seen it visualised in this manner. It is so good!
No…..YOUR brain cannot process the information! Haha jk ……that one point, that single image, of the sun between the ridges of a fingertip really stays with you. Doesn’t it? I just discovered this person’s YT channel. ….I couldn’t hit subscribe fast enough! What a wonderful mind!
As a 40-year-old man who's seen it all, I thought I'd become immune to excitement. But this masterpiece right here proved me wrong. It made me feel everything all over again. Thank you for creating such a phenomenal piece of content; your talent shines through every second. I hope you continue this journey and achieve all the success in the world. I can't wait for my child to grow a bit older so I can rewatch all your incredible videos with him. Much love and gratitude.
Thank you! That’s very kind and very much appreciated, I wanted to make the kind of videos I’d like to see myself so I’m so happy that’s worked for you too
I'm 56. PBS gave me Cosmos and James Burke's equally excellent Connections at about the same time and I'm not exaggerating to say they changed the way I think.
Please do not quit making these stunning videos. We need more videos that are obtainable for the average mind to awaken that seed of curiosity in younger generations. Carl Sagan literally changed my entire life growing up because he knew how to talk to normal people in a way to inspire them much like your videos are inevitably doing to others. The sheer size and wonder of it all is life altering when you start to wrap your mind around what's really out there. Thank you so much!
What’s a wonderful comment thank you! I’m certainly not stopping, I love making videos like this and perhaps even better, hearing from people like you who enjoy them to this level. Carl was the best and a big inspiration to me and I am trying to do all those things you described because I know from personal experience (as you do too!) that his books and Cosmos were such a positive force in the world. Thanks again!
I can’t really compliment this video with something that hasn’t already been mentioned in these comments. All I can do is pick my jaw up off the floor. I sit here choking up as I watch not just because of how unfathomably mind-bending the information is (my problems suddenly seem microscopic), but also because of how beautifully you chose to lay it all out. Breathtaking in the true sense of the word. Congratulations on this masterpiece!
Wow, what a wonderful comment! Thank you so much. Thanks for taking the time to write isomethijf super kind and be so supportive of my endeavour to try and make something special. Cheers!
Subscribed and liked video immediately, as a creative person who likes astronomy, this video was super informative! Part of my creative side would love to know how you did this amazing animation and render so that I can use the tools, software you used for my school project. 😅
YOUR WORK IS INCREDIBLE. I can't articulate well enough what a talent you have for storytelling. Every time you release a video me and my partner sit together, watch it, get giddy and geek out. We always comment on what a good job you do at contextualising and comparing against things we already know and how we've genuinely never grasped the concept of size until your videos. The finger print part... f'in unreal. Bravo.
I like the fact you included the significance of our being here in this universe and didn't ignore it based on our physical smallness as many similar videos do. The Carl Sagan comment was very salient: 'We are a way for the universe to know itself.' Great job!
This moved me to tears. Thank you for following your passion and sharing with the world. There are so many “scale” videos out there but this is the first I’ve ever seen that has heart and soul in it. This is an artistic masterpiece. So inspiring and soul full.
What a wonderful comment and thank you so much, it really means the world to me when someone takes the time to comment and all the things I hope come together to reach people seems to do just that. I’m so pleased you enjoyed, thanks for coming over to the channel to support and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Came here to say this. I’ve struggled with the anxiety of our own mortality and the vastness of what we know, and don’t. I’ve shared this with everyone I care about with smiles. Thank you.
Idk how you do it... I consider myself well educated in astronomy from a lifetime of watching science docs, videos, and reading but you still manage to bring up rather significant bits of knowledge and visualizing that I have never thought of or knew about before in your short videos. Most science UA-cam content I find end up being rehashes of stuff I'm at least aware of if not already studied up on, but you bring up entirely new concepts for me. That's quite rare for me to find. Love your content!
Thanks so much, really appreciate the supportive words, I definitely want to try and make these videos different, find new ways to talk about things that some people already know well, try and break things down differently, so pleased you feel that’s working!
This is the first video I've seen that truly helps me to comprehend the scale of our galaxy. I've seen countless size comparison videos and none have ever hammered home just how tiny we are like this video has.
I agree; it hate those straight forward size comparisons because you lose the grasp of the scale of things. This video is not like that; it was easy to follow the grand scale of things.
Never going to happen.. In fact, the small number of views these science based channels get is an indication our society is sick and bound to fail. People are dumb, and we're getting dumber each decade. This guy has done a fantastic job, but it wouldn't matter how good he does, there just aren't that many people interested in what makes their own world tick..

From someone who spends a lot of time watching UA-cam, this is one of the best Videos I've ever watched. Full Stop. Great Production, story, script, graphics and most of all mesmerising. Thank you.
“We are the first being we know of, with the curiosity and ability to find truth and wonder. That makes you just as important as a galaxy” love that! This literally made me cry!
It makes us more important. Otherwise it's like saying you are just as important as a toaster oven. There is beauty and meaning in the Galaxy only insofar as it is beheld. In this do we see the glory of God.
This is one of the best channels at explaining scales. I’ve seen soo many videos explaining scales that I already know the scales but everytime I see them I am amazed the same way. It never changes
This made me tear up, I've never had tears on a science video, but you did it. You made me feel the beauty of our existence, how lucky we are to even be here. I believe that this kind of content can save lives ; depression is such a big issue nowadays, so many people feel lost, like they dont belong... But this, this right here can spark a new flame. It's so beautifully made and written... Thank you for your amazing work.
The creator of all these walked among us in a flesh body. His people don't know him and spit on him. He was humble and gave his life even to cross death. People have seen him doing miracles raising dead bodies and healing many. His witnesses were faithful upto death. Surely he is coming. He loves the tiny humans. He will separate the wolves from the sheeps. Why the depression? Surrender to him. The prophiet Isaiah prophiesized about him 700 years in advance. The creator born as a baby.
You said it exactly how I feel right now after watching this. This video made me able to snap out of this morning’s funk due to things at work and focus on things both bigger and smaller than myself and not succumb to worse feelings and reacting even more negatively to them. I pray that you will find real community where you can honestly share your feelings like in a small group in a small Spirit filled church. Epic Spaceman has a true gift from God.
This, along with your 2 other videos just might be the most powerful things I’ve seen on UA-cam in a long time. Everything from the animation, the music, the information, the narration, it’s all perfect. Sometimes, UA-cam videos transcend the realm of entertainment and become works of art. This is one of those videos.
That’s incredibly kind, thank you, really appreciate the support. Working on the next right now which should be ready soon, just a short one though, the one after will be more epic.
Thank you! That’s very kind and I really appreciate the words too, I think it’s totally normal to get emotional about this stuff, I certainly my do, I’m just happy I manage to get some of that across
"So if you ever feel lost or small when you contemplate the cosmos, just remember that to an electron you are a galaxy" - This was very powerful. I am really glad that I watched this video! Thanks and please keep making more contents like this!
Not going to lie…I’ve seen A LOT of videos/animations/education on the topic(s) covered here over a few DECADES. -This one just blew everything away. Thank you and great job!!!
Your video is mindblowing and truly enlightening! I‘ve seen quite a few videos on this topic, but none of them came even close to your wonderful visualisation. I will never forget how small we are compared to the galaxy and how huge compared to an electron. Thank you!
This is one of the best videos..production, naration and information that I have seen on UA-cam or streaming service in years, well done! And thank you for your efforts on this, Carl would indeed be proud!

Science channels these days are pushing the boundaries of video-making. Shoutout to Melodysheep in particular. And now Epic Spaceman is joining their ranks. Breath-taking stuff.

This is absolutely incredible! I don’t know what’s more impressive: your video editing skills or your clever demonstrations that beautifully illustrate the unimaginable scale of the galaxy.
These videos are insane. I watch a lot of space, documentaries, and space program series on Netflix, UA-cam or whatever. There has never been one done as good as this. Is it just you (one fella) making these? Please do not stop making these, you are going to be massive. This gave me more sagan vibes than any body else since that man was alive and inspired so many people.
Thank you so much for the wonderful comment! It is indeed just me, I’m making them in my spare time but over the next few months I’m going to be doing less of my day job as a videographer and more of these videos in the hope I can make them full time in the future. So that should mean I start making them more regularly. I’m going to do a behind the scenes video soon too so that will explain a little more on how I make these. Thanks again for the Cosmos comparison, Carl was the best so it’s the best comparison I could receive. I’m not in that ballpark and will never be as I’ve got a different skill set but he’s an inspiration to head towards.
What a wonderful comment, thank you so much for taking the time to share it. I couldn’t be more pleased that you felt so strongly about it and I managed to help connect you a little with the wonderful galaxy we live in.

I've been on a space kick recently and have seen tons of channels go over the scale of the galaxy. Never have I seen a video at this fidelity and production value before and the way your present the content is just amazing. When you did the snapping fingers and the entire world just went dark by erasing the galaxy, hairs on my arm went up. You've earned yourself a sub bro!

Glad you found the video a bit different too, I’m definitely trying to make something I haven’t really seen before, basically just the kind of video I really want to see myself. Cheers!
Dude. You need more videos. This might single handedly be the greatest channel on UA-cam. The potential is certainly there. And I’m not even into space but I’ve never been so shaken after watching a video on UA-cam. Keep going!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the kind words and I’m so pleased you’re enjoying them so much, will have another out soon and then I’ll be making them a bit more frequently as I’m now doing them full time

My God! This is the very first of your videos I have ever watched, and only 20 seconds in to it I am more taken by the top-level beautiful graphics and special effects that I had to re-watch it just to also appreciate it for the actual content and great information itself. I commend you on nearly a whopping 100k subscribers on just 5 videos (to-date) on your channel. Well deserved! [UPDATE: I just went and watch the second video I have ever seen of yours: "Who is Epic Spaceman" and I am even MORE impressed that you only started learning VFX as recent as 2020, under 3 years ago. Wow. Also appreciate your advice on that topic ...of starting by running than walking (choosing to start with our greater project first and just work through each problem as it comes). Great advice!
Thank you so much for the very kind comment! I’m so pleased you enjoyed the visuals as well as the content, I’m really working hard to try and get them both together to make the like of videos I’d really like to see myself. Thanks for the support on the 90k from 5 videos, I’ve been lucky that the last few have picked up traction, my first couple did really well on Reddit but didn’t get many views over here so I wasn’t really sure until 2023 whether I’d have a UA-cam channel that people watched. Now I’m more galvanised than ever to make hundreds of these! The support from people like yourself in the comments and on Patreon is big part of that. So thank you again and I hope that advice at the end was helpful, it’s what works best for me but not be the best for everyone else, good luck in any of your endeavours and glad to have you here on the channel!
I have been watching space related content of a similar nature to this for years and I can't believe I've never come across your channel. Absolutely astonishing content and superb quality. Can't imagine the hours that went into this video.
Thank you! This one definitely took a while! I’ve only made a handful of videos so far so I think my channel is easy to miss but thankfully UA-cam is sharing it a bit more and it’s great to have you here!
Just the absolute best description of the scale of our galaxy I have ever seen or heard. I've lost a lot of my quest for knowledge as I'm getting older but this brings it all back to me. 100% would like to see teachers use your videos in schools.
Thank you! I think this is a big part of why I’m making these videos, I try to make them for myself and find those little sparks of wonder that are harder to find as I get older
Without a doubt, this is my new favorite channel on UA-cam. I am a creative myself, and after finding out that you are a one man band, I am astonished and insipired by the quality and delivery of your work. I can't wrap my head around how some people can just be this talented...truly. You are an absolute BLESSING to this over saturated and content hungry platform. I cannot believe I found such a gem this early on in your UA-cam endeavors. I was seriously expecting a massive team behind this channel with 10m+ subscribers because that is normally what it takes to have this level of production quality! 226k? You sir are going to absolutely BLOW UP for all of the right reasons. Thank you so so so much!
That was the quickest like and subscribe I've given in a long time. You realise you've just made a lot of UA-camrs look like amateurs with this video? It was as close to perfect as anything should be allowed to be. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I am eagerly awaiting your next masterpiece!
Thank you! Really appreciate all of that and the sub too. Very much looking forward to making and sharing more, especially with supportive feedback like this, cheers!
Growing up on Sagan, and being a huge fan, this was an instant sub also. must take so long to make though. This guy needs a team! More enjoyable than degrasse Tyson’s condescending tone, this guys overall feel is one of true wonder.
This film is insane!! It really does help put our universe into some perspective! Thank you for making it and putting it into a format that’s easy to understand (and not just for my kids but for me too!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow. Just wow. I didnt think I'd tear up in my kitchen watching educational astronomy videos on a Monday night, yet here I am. Beautifully done video. I'm pretty well versed in all things space-y, but this is the first time I've truly "felt" the scale of things and it really landed with me. Thank you for that experience. Can't wait for your next video!!
Thanks Carl for another very kind comment! Really appreciate it and am so pleased that I got the scale across in a new way that worked for you. Looking forward to making more!
Wow. This is easily the most wonderful and awesome video I have seen of every genre. I love watching stuff about the stars, the milky way, the universe and ourselves - but now I love it even more. I can imagine how much work you put into this and I can only thank you for doing so. The world needs more crazy ones like you. Thank you so much.
What a wonderful comment, thank you so much for taking the time to write something so nice and I’m so pleased you’ve enjoyed it so much. The world does need more crazy ones! Cheers!
I just went through all of your videos. The single moment of your work (up to the black holes video) which was the most most profound to me is at 3:08 in this galactic scale video. It bears repeating in future content even if the scale is different. I took it for granted that when looking toward the center of the disc, the naked eye would be able to see a much larger portion of the galaxy. The reason I find it impactful is obvious; all of the wonder I've ever felt looking at the stars just got walloped; I truly 'ain't seen nothing yet'.
My father recommended me your video because he was so impressed with the content and production. I honestly thought I would find it boring, but he insisted I watched it several times (he really really loved it). After watching it, I can only say congratulations! You've done an amazing job at explaining in an interesting and clear way something very difficult to grasp normally. Keep up the good work ❤️
This is a great way to give my 6th grade students a glimpse of the vastness of the local universe. Even playing it 6 times in the same day and having seen it a dozen times before, I still can't look away and watch it every time. Very awesome! On my way to Patreon, it is well deserved.
Have seen countless videos on the topic of the universe, and this is wildly well done! Please don't stop, you've got something special going on here! Your capacity to give perspective and simultaneously make things beautiful is next level
Absolutely wonderful. Carl Sagan would be proud! Thank you for the huge amounts of effort you clearly put into making this. You deserve as many subscribers as stars in the Milky Way!
Absolutely beautifully made, made me feel small and yet hopeful at the same time. We have so much more to see and discover. I will be seeing you again Spaceman
The quality level of this production is mind-blowing. Just amazing. Congrats for your work! I hope you reach more and more people with this incredible content!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the support and so pleased you liked the graphics, I'm still getting better at that as only started relatively recently but feel like I've turned a bit of a corner in the last year when making this one.
This is a lot easier to understand than most scale videos; instead of comparing stars to themselves, you are comparing them to objects and places we can recognize. This is incredible and I'm excited to see what you come up with next!
Thank you! Yes I can find them overwhelming too, the most important thing for me is that a viewer can understand, remember and take away the scale so they can always refer to it. Glad you enjoyed that!
Wow, this video took me on a mind-blowing cosmic journey! Thank you so much for this stellar masterpiece and fueling our fascination with the wonders of space. Keep reaching for the stars!
This is my first time here. I was absolutely fascinated by your content. You made understanding the scale of our galaxy in a much simpler way. Thank you for your content. I promptly subscribed to your channel.
Your video is as motivating as it is beautiful for someone studying in the field. I believe it to be impossible to fully comprehend the vastness of space, but a video like this certainly gives an incredible perspective. I also love the parallel to the smaller “universe”. I hope your videos end up in the cinema part of science museums, I used to love those growing up.
Thank you and great to hear you’re studying in the field. I think you’re right that it can’t genuinely be comprehended, just too big for our frame of reference but hopefully we can get small inklings at times. I just hope some of the analogies stick with people and give them a better understanding.
Got to be the best video of this kind I have ever seen and I have watched hundreds. This should be part of every school curriculum globally. Thank you to everyone involved in this production.
Thanks so much, am so pleased you felt it was so special considering there are already great scale videos out there. I’m really trying to make the kind of video I want to watch myself so glad it’s resonating. Thanks again!

"To an electron, you are a galaxy." I don't know why this quote made me emotional. I guess when you feel so insignificant in the grand scheme of things, this perspective really flips that narrative on it's head.
Just incredible!
bc we get told that we are just a bunch of small atoms in the large cosmos, as if we have no reason to exist except by survival and chance
Thank you, that’s very kind, I love that sense of wonder so I’m really pleased you took some of that away
For real. That really hit home.
Thank you! Really appreciate the feedback, am so pleased it resonated.
Based on my calculations… if we take the Milky Way to be 100 thousand light years wide, then using the average diameter of Pluto’s orbit (about 79 AU’s assuming the radius 39.5AU and ignoring the diameter of the Sun) then using the width of a quarter at 0.955 inches…
With one light year being 63,241 AU’s, or about 800 times the diameter of Pluto’s orbit of 79 AU’s….
The Milky Way diameter of 100 thousand light years would be a circle with only a span about 1,200 miles, not the width of the USA. (1 mile is 5,280 feet times 12 inches.)
How well did I do?
What a stellar video, thank you so much for your efforts!❤
You watch 6 hours of content a day? Every day?
Good luck with that
No really this was absolutely nuts
Agreed. Absolutely no words. Amazing job

Wow. There’s no word to express how amazing is that video and the comparisons you made to give us a real sense about us and our marvelous universe.
So pleased you enjoyed it! Thank you for the kind comments!
I came here to comment but you said it better so just let me say well done to both of you !!!!!!
Feeling small and insignificant is one of the most beautiful things you can feel.
This video captures that sentiment perfectly. Well done.
Thank you! I think we can feel tiny and worthwhile at the same time and that they’re both a wonderful thing, glad you enjoyed!
I'm 53. If only my teachers growing up had been able to teach me like this. You sir, are an AMAZING teacher. Thank you.
Thank you! That’s very kind and very much appreciated, I wanted to make the kind of videos I’d like to see myself so I’m so happy that’s worked for you too
Me too.. wow..this guy is the Bob Ross of astronomy 😊
I'm 56. PBS gave me Cosmos and James Burke's equally excellent Connections at about the same time and I'm not exaggerating to say they changed the way I think.
Amen!
I love your comment. I hope teachers take full advantage of this technology. What a powerful tool of imagination
Well spoken 🫶
Scale of the solar system is already insane everything else just bonkers bruh
I can’t really compliment this video with something that hasn’t already been mentioned in these comments. All I can do is pick my jaw up off the floor. I sit here choking up as I watch not just because of how unfathomably mind-bending the information is (my problems suddenly seem microscopic), but also because of how beautifully you chose to lay it all out. Breathtaking in the true sense of the word. Congratulations on this masterpiece!
Wow, what a wonderful comment! Thank you so much. Thanks for taking the time to write isomethijf super kind and be so supportive of my endeavour to try and make something special. Cheers!

This stuff is really dope!
Bravo.
Absolutely well said my friend.
I like the fact you included the significance of our being here in this universe and didn't ignore it based on our physical smallness as many similar videos do. The Carl Sagan comment was very salient: 'We are a way for the universe to know itself.' Great job!
I believe that is the truth. ☺️
It’s funny because that quote is literally Eastern philosophy, Zen Buddism, etc
It is the only part of the presentation I found silly. The universe is not an entity that it would know.
@@johnpatmos1722 The universe doesn’t need to reciprocate for the statement to be meaningful.

This moved me to tears. Thank you for following your passion and sharing with the world. There are so many “scale” videos out there but this is the first I’ve ever seen that has heart and soul in it. This is an artistic masterpiece. So inspiring and soul full.

Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this, it’s made me so happy knowing it’s been helpful for you.
Dude this is DOPE! I’ve always loved universe inspired content🕺🏻
@reformedgrate9174 are you insane ?
Bro, your lecture is mind blowing. Thank you.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Idk how you do it...
@EpicSpaceman it's definitely working and we definitely support you
This is the first video I've seen that truly helps me to comprehend the scale of our galaxy. I've seen countless size comparison videos and none have ever hammered home just how tiny we are like this video has.
Brilliant, thank you, I’m so pleased it came together to do that for you!
I agree; it hate those straight forward size comparisons because you lose the grasp of the scale of things. This video is not like that; it was easy to follow the grand scale of things.
Totally agree, first video that put things into perspective. Awesome job @epicspaceman
This deserves 100m+ views. The production quality is incredibly
Thank you! Maybe one day!
Never going to happen.. In fact, the small number of views these science based channels get is an indication our society is sick and bound to fail. People are dumb, and we're getting dumber each decade.

“We are the first being we know of, with the curiosity and ability to find truth and wonder. That makes you just as important as a galaxy” love that! This literally made me cry!
I actually teared up at the end too. Surprised myself.
I will be eagerly waiting for what ever comes next!
Thank you! I always hope to surprise a little so glad that moment worked well for you!
Absolutely wonderful. Carl Sagan would be proud! Thank you for the huge amounts of effort you clearly put into making this. You deserve as many subscribers as stars in the Milky Way!
Thank you! That’s a lot of subscribers! Really appreciate the kind words and support.
These scale videos are actually mind blowing. It really makes it easy to visualize
Absolutely beautifully made, made me feel small and yet hopeful at the same time. We have so much more to see and discover. I will be seeing you again Spaceman
Thank you! Glad you felt hopeful too, it’s easy to feel lost when the scale gets crazy, thanks for the support!
So happy you’ve posted again. As always, incredibly educational and entertaining. Thank you!
Thank you and thanks for being so patient! Looking forward to making more and faster
This is one of the best videos I’ve ever watched on UA-cam. Thank you so much for making this.

Thank you so much! Not sure who/what that is so will track down! Really appreciate the kind words
This guy is a rock star, a real star man!
…waiting in the sky! Glad you enjoyed, thanks!
Amazing work! Deserves more than just a follow!
When he said, "to an electron you are a galaxy", it felt to satisfying and it gave me goosebumps.
Same here Steve. 🤝
The quality level of this production is mind-blowing. Just amazing. Congrats for your work! I hope you reach more and more people with this incredible content!
Thank you! I’m working hard on the production value so really appreciate the support
I'm blown away by the content that smaller UA-cam channels produce. This is stuff you would see on a Discovery Channel special. Nice job!
Thank you! I’m working really hard on the production value, aiming to one day get to be even better than stuff on discovery, if that’s possible!
@@EpicSpaceman please. it already is better.
Discovery channel ain’t got shit on this.
3:50 WHAAAAATTTT!! I have been truly mind blown!!
Thank you! So pleased you enjoyed that moment!
@@EpicSpaceman Yes, that moment was so awesome it brought literal tears to my eyes!
The script, the animations, the 3D, the storytelling
What a incredible video! Your videos are so mind-blowing and so beautiful, the vfx are out of this world (literally)
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the support and so pleased you liked the graphics, I'm still getting better at that as only started relatively recently but feel like I've turned a bit of a corner in the last year when making this one.
Incredible video! Always love watching these. You truly teach in the tradition of Sagan.
Thanks so much! That's the highest level of praise I could hope for, much appreciated.
You honor Carl very well! What a Masterpiece!
Thank you! He was awesome
Wow, this video took me on a mind-blowing cosmic journey! Thank you so much for this stellar masterpiece and fueling our fascination with the wonders of space. Keep reaching for the stars!
Thanks so much! Really pleased you enjoyed it, I’ll keep reaching for sure!
That was one of the best videos I’ve seen on the internet.
Wow! Thanks so much, definitely greatly appreciated, it's comments like this that really help motivate me to keep making these so thank you.
Dude, you have like the best editing I’ve ever seen.. holy smokes
Thanks so much!
Just watched this with my 4 year old son. He said, "I liked it. I really liked all the colors in space." (Nebula.)
This is my first time here. I was absolutely fascinated by your content. You made understanding the scale of our galaxy in a much simpler way. Thank you for your content. I promptly subscribed to your channel.
Thanks so much! Glad to have you here and really appreciate the sub!
What a wonderful video with so much effort put into it! I loved the last sentence..“to an electron, you are a galaxy“. Beautiful ❤️
Thank you! So pleased you liked the ending!
This is the most amazing channel I have ever seen. How had I never heard of it? Instant subscribe
Thank you, glad to have you here!
The animation, the narration, the soundtrack, the accuracy. Beautifully done! It's a masterpiece!
Thanks so much! What an incredibly kind and supportive comment, really appreciate that!
Thanks!
Thanks so much! That’s really kind of you
This is easily the best scale example of the Milky Way I have ever seen! That was absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to see what else you make!
Thanks so much, am so pleased you felt it was so special considering there are already great scale videos out there. I’m really trying to make the kind of video I want to watch myself so glad it’s resonating. Thanks again!
