Exactly. I improved my Listening from 6.5 to 8.5 only by reading more in English. Anything whether a book, an article, or the audio script as you said. All can help. If a candidate has poor reading speed and comprehension, he or she can't understand the question and cannot find the correct answer. Good luck!

No. But you've to be active while listening. You must, 3 to 4 questions, bear in mind and should focus what they saying. Sometimes they add additional information which isn't useful or to write answer but you have to be present so that you can't miss the answer. Which they may discuss about Further.

Your idea is wrong may be its works for some but not for all, looking audio scripts during listening is like a writing answer from answer sheet and it trigger our brain to used it every time we listen but in exam day you will not have those scripts that time your brain will definitely get blasted by not having so called subtitles
