I think this is still the best version of this song.
This song is about the Cuban Missile crisis but the lyrics were so vague that they turned it into a Christmas song
@@mosalah2798 A simple google search proves you wrong. While the song does have connotations for a plea for peace during the Cuban missile crisis, it was written as a Christmas song.
Absolutely. As far as I'm concerned there isn't any debate to be had.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I don’t care what time of year it is. I’m going to listen this song year round.
For real. I always manage to get this stuck in my head all throughout the year.
Absolutely no one could do a song like this better than Bing. The strength of his baritone and the emphasis in all of the right places will be unmatched. God Bless Bing Crosby!
No doubting his voice was wonderful as is the music.
I prefer a little less loosey-goosiness with tempo than he gives it here. But that is just my personal taste.

Bing Crosby sings this song so beautifully
And How TRUE THE WORDS!!! this song goes right to the ears and and makes your Soul sing out! Dont you Agree?
This is an extraordinary song. Poetic lyrics, inspired music, and a simple concept delivered brilliantly.
Only the SPIRIT of the living G-D...and how beautiful HE is KING of the Jews YESHUA returning soon for HIS BRIDE! Before that great and terrible day of the L-RD LAST DAYS all eyes on JERUSALEM🙏🏼🙏🏼🕎🕎✝✝👀👀🌹🌹
Sometimes, just alluding to something is far more powerful than outright saying it. That's what this song accomplishes.
I like the story in this song, which recalls the Child Jesus born on Christmas Day, where Night Wind, Shepherd Boy, Little Lamb, A Mighty King declares the Glory of God to People everywhere as far as human senses, insights and wisdom could reach, acknowledging the Prince of Peace has finally Come this Day to bring us Goodness and Light !
This gorgeous Christmas song just 'took me back' decades. So evocative. Bing's voice is beautiful.
Bing Crosby.....this song is perfect! A 100yrs from now it will still be gold.
Sugar Bear , 100 years, ? No, 100000000 billion, still not long enough to be gold.
I love this song!!
Great song, great singer. 🎅
The best version I've ever heard.
Great song, sung by a Spokane native!
"He will bring us goodness and light!" Amen! Halleluyah!
Bing Crosby can restore Christmas when a song has been sung after a month has passed from December 25!
My favorite Christmas song ever. Bing’s voice was golden. The last section gets me every time.
I was 2 years old when this was written and released as a 1962 Christmas song written by Noël Regney and Gloria Shayneas as a plea for Peace during the Cuban Missile Crisis. That was almost 62 years ago and there's never been peace. "Life is a battleground. It always has been, and always will be; and if it were not so, existence would come to an end." Carl Jung.
Great song by the one and only great Bing Crosby! May him and his music always live on!!
These guys that sang back then were absolutely golden!!!
🙏 Amen. A beautiful Christmas song masterpiece.
Merry Christmas everyone 🎄
Wonderfull song and wonderfull Bing Crosby and choir! 🇧🇷
I have this record. Love Bing Crosby version.❤
This is such an incredibly beautiful arrangement. The background singers, the booming voice of Bing Crosby, absolutely amazing. I know the song is about the birth of Jesus Christ. But it also invokes certain images in my mind with the line, "A child shivers in the cold", images of starving, cold children in a world of vast wealth where they can and should be tended to, cared for and saved. I think that is the world Jesus Christ would want for all cold, shivering children.
Yes he was alos vey very rich, in kindness abuubt love and care, Poo, no matter he loved his sheep and tented to his flock, methfore
Do you hear what I hear. So romantic. This sound good, his voice so good and the music so cool. I love all of them
Greatest singer in history
Not even Halloween yet, but with a vioce this majestic i cant complain
I listen to this song just for that arrangement at 0:45- Beautiful...
Another classic by Bing coming out, man I’m glad this channel starting animating his music again.
I love this song 🎵 ❤
Thank you so much for this Christmas gem. Nobody did it like Der Bingle. The way it builds with the chorus at the end still gives me goosebumps. I asked the Petersens if they would include this with their new Christmas CD. Their spiritual reverence, harmonies and abilities are amazing. I'm hoping. God bless everybody and have a great Holiday season.
I was watching this now because I realized this song is about the Cuban missile crisis. So yeah great holiday gem. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
@Luka Makovec It tells the story of the night of the birth of our Lord and Savior, King Jesus. Amen and hallelujah!
Best Bing Croby Christmas song. Thank you for sharing.😊
This was part of Christmas for as long as I can remember - Bing Crosby singing this
Bing Crosby releasing a video soon... what a time to be alive

A child a child sleeping in the night he will bring us goodness and light.... Sounds like the most ridiculous missle crisis I've ever heard

OMG What a voice.
Love this song
Written during the Cuban Missile Crisis, this beauriful song is more appropriate now than ever,
Good old Bing,masterpiece.
Truly a timeless classic!
A great Xmas song. Lion X
not sure where the idea came this song is ABOUT the cuban missile crises, all i can say is, it was written DURING THE CUBAN MISSILE CRISES IN 1962, just like the Little drummer boy was written in 1942 during WW2 but that song was and is not about any war. Most christmas songs of today were written during WW2 and not a single one of them is about any war, they are about hope and a bright outlook for a better future.
It was written by Noel regney as a plea for peace. The "star" they keep referring to is quite literally referencing a hypothetical missile in the sky. Seriously look it up it's actually kind of fascinating
The choir is what really makes this song.
This Is about the visit of the Three King to Adore Baby Jesus. It' s from the Gospel
It's after Christmas, but it's snowing properly for the first time here this season. So I'm celebrating now. 🥰 🎄
We still love you Bing!
Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see?
(Do you see what I see?)
Way up in the sky, little lamb
Do you see what I see?
(Do you see what I see?)
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
(Do you hear what I hear?)
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
(Do you hear what I hear?)
A song, a song high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know? (Do you know what I know?)
In your palace warm, mighty king
Do you know what I know? (Do you know what I know?)
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say! (Listen to what I say!)
Pray for peace, people, everywhere
Listen to what I say! (Listen to what I say!)
The Child, the Child sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light

One of my favorite Christmas songs
Pray for peace, people everywhere!
May God bless All.
Just fantastic, a real masterpiece.
Its Jamie Davies I live in the UK I like this song too how are you Brian my friend?
You are throwing the word masterpiece around pretty loosely if that's the case lol so many other amazing songs in this world that are masterpieces that you could not put this next to
@@jamiedavies4545 Jamie, I'm doing well. I just saw your post. Hope all is well with you.
Bing had a real voice, one of the best.
@@brian4544 Its Jamie Davies yes I'm doing well tii Brian my mate and friend and I hope you have a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year Brian my friend....
This song and White Christmas just makes Christmas wonderful 💕
Still listening to this here in 2021. With Sippy Cup ruining everything. It's nice to experience the good ol Classics
Childhood memories of Christmas immediately flooded my mind as soon as this song began playing. And the goid-old-days feelings of Christmas cheer welled up in my heart. Merry Christmas everyone.
The song is actually about the Cuban missile crisis but it works for Christmas though
@@frishyboi4861 Google confirms your assertion. I didn't know that. Still a great Christmas song.
Same here! Nostalgia. A very happy and merry Christmas 2023 to you, and to all, when it comes.
1:50 The best part 🥰

My favorite song
Songs this epic transcend time
So many Christmas songs are timeless they never age that’s why we play them year after year such amazing songs
With all do respect- this is by far the best version!
The first thing that comes to mind when i hear this is my cat Gizmo.
For some reason this song always stuck with me in my mind after watching the movie "Gremlins".
I fell in love with that little cute Mogwai "Gizmo" which later resulted in the naming of my beloved cat.
Still miss him to this day, 20 years since his passing and i still get emotional when i hear this because it reminds me of him.
I love this song!
His voice is so soothing!
Beautiful song thank you
Thank you. 🧑🎄♥️👍🇺🇲🎄
i think that is the best i ever heard der bingle sing anything.
New favourite Christmas song
He was the first Irish version 🍀 the old blue eyes. Then , thereafter of his youth Frank Sinatra became old blue eyes, for real and took on that mantel.❤️🙏
Wonderful. Like the graphics
Bing si KING!
I haven't heard the melody before but i felt it's so familiar🪐
Great song r.i.p king
This song is actually about the Cuban Missile Crisis but they thought the lyrics were so good that it’s a Christmas song now
I don't mind "White Christmas", it's a lovely tune. But this is in a completely different league if you ask me. This gives a real Christmas atmosphere.
H for Jesus, HESUS!
Great song. Love the classics
The true King of Christmas!!!
A true Classic!
This is my favorite Christmas song.
AWESOME start for Holiday Season!!! Merry Christmas!!! Thank You and God Bless!
This Is from the Gospel of the Three King ❤
Mark Steyn wrote an excellent article on the writers and setting of this song. Knowing the history at the time this was written helps you feel the full meaning of this song.
Wow!
This song is a Christmas masterpiece, and a reminder about what Christmas is all about. It’s about how the word of Jesus Christ’s birth is spread throughout the world
Jesus Christ is a comet
