    I have a beginner question! Sorry for commenting on an advanced video. As a web designer, when you get a client do you also do a branding/rebranding or you only make websites? Would you do a full brandng for a company if they didnt have it? Do you only take clients who already have a branding?
    Thanks!

    • @hellobont
      @hellobont  3 місяці тому

      Many times I also do a rebranding or face uplift, definitely relevant to be able to push the quality of the projects often times! But make sure you charge for it.

    H Tags (H1/H2) should not always be tied to "style". It's dependent on context of the page.

      Not in the websites I design!

    I’m a minimalist in all aspects of my life including my approach to design, and I hope you take this as constructive criticism.
    I find your website and UA-cam thumbnails quite overwhelming in terms of amount of elements, and general use of white space. Your academy’s site for example gets quite busy below the fold and breaks quite a few accessibility rules when it comes to font size and hierarchy. As a fellow designer I would recommend you look into this so as to provide better UX for both prospects and students.
    On the positive, your advice on the business of web design is quite sound and likely the best I’ve come across. Hands down. I have actually considered your membership program just for this reason. However, and maybe it’s just me, I cannot find cost/fee info on your website and I really do not want to go through the lengthy prequalifying process via Google form just to get this info. Yet another UX drawback in your purchase journey.
    So, could you kindly share the cost of your program and possibly sign up one more fan.

      This. The phone call and form before actually finding out what you get and for how much is a huge turn off and red flag. I'd rather pay a monthly subscription for access to a web design Discord channel wherein we get feedback from a professional(s) and can ask questions. Simple, minimal, valuable that's transparent. Also, the limitation of excluding Webflow developers may be cutting off a lot of people, as a lot of the web development work happens in Figma within responsive design (Figma is basically using HTML and Flexbox), so Webflow developers are branching out into becoming professional designers too as these tools are shortening development time and companies are seeking Webflow Designers & Developers. It's a growing market.

    • @leviwanyoike
      @leviwanyoike 4 місяці тому

      I finally dropped Figma last year and now design directly in Framer, granted I have years of UX experience so it’s easier. I loved Webflow, and it’s still “the beast” when it comes to large complex projects but it often got in the way of my creativity, plus the fees are way too high for most clients.

    • @taunado
      @taunado 4 місяці тому +1

      @@leviwanyoike Nice, I enjoyed Framer, but for the clients I'm servicing I need custom JS and Webflow integration and workflow is ideal for more complex projects. I agree that Webflow is too expensive, compared to it's competitors. Wordpress has a new page builder, similar to Framer I guess, it's powerful.
