+dennis trident william I'm told by people who remember London's trolleybuses that they could out accelerate expensive fast cars and sometimes there were mild g forces... passengers had to hold very tightly, if not already seated. When London Transport was replacing its trolleybuses with diesel buses it often reduced the number of bus stops along the route, as that way the slower diesels had a better chance of maintaining the same schedules.
In Germany we have Esslingen, Solingen and Eberswalde.
So many cities had trolleybus and abandoned it. Berlin, Dresden, Hannover...
