LSG, Aaron... the number of times people made things in your servers I am still shocked that you do not know iconic stations and ships from the 'Star Trek' franchise, let alone have not seen some or most of the 'Star Trek' franchise...
The offset welders in the BHD base are to get better coverage and not have welding gaps. Not 100% if it's necessary but seems to be a happy medium.
does it get better coverage because the area of effect of the welders is circular?
@@StarWarsExpert_ Basically it's just because 8 blocks in a row, corner to corner diagonally, are longer than 8 blocks in a row, side by side. When using welders spaced 1 block apart I often get spotty print jobs.
Since the server rules limit us to 8 welders per grid, I went for a build that had decent overlap in coverage but also provided a little more printing radius.

Some absolutely epic builds all round. Can't wait to see a ton of these ships up close in events.
The ASI warship colour scheme changed because I'm trialling a planetside scheme with cooler colours that aren't so loud when flying around in atmo. I read the iteration description where it said we would be doing some sneak attacks and infiltration so I figured something a bit softer than the high value oranges and whites was in order lol. We're also using reflective black on the PvP miner so we might branch out with some more pure "stealth mode" ships if mission descriptions warrant it.
