I'm totally impressed. You do have great talent. My comet floor work starts next week before the Florida heat kicks in.
Keep on keeping on.
Thanks Michael ! Be glad when you do your floor. I've been waiting lol
Exactly, One patch at a Time! It can get pretty frustrating at times but just keep at it & it's very satisfying when you look back at what you've done!
Yes. I was not expecting all these holes but yes. One patch at a time. The other side of the frame was way better. Thanks Jason
Great stuff buddy 👍 Thank you,Full watch, stay connected !!! Enjoyed
Thank you my friend !!! I appreciate that !!
Awesome job Stephan! 😁👍 You're making progress and tackling the job yourself, that's inspirational for sure! Nice job prepping the metal and drilling the spot welds. Stay safe and happy wrenching..... uh..well, happy *welding!* 🔥
Hi Zane ! Thank you, one section done and several more to go
Really good video! Your frame repair turned out really good. I’m glad the crossmember turned out the way it did. It made it less complicated. This is moving along pretty fast and I’m enjoying it! Great project Stephan!!
Thank you Brother Bill ! I appreciate your support. One patch at a time lol. It's coming 👍
Well done on your progress thus far. I know each time you work on it you seem to encounter another surprise. Just take it one step at a time. You're doing just fine.
Thank you my friend ! I appreciate that ! It's always worse than you expect I guess. How have you been ?
@@pstreetgarage7304 Very well thank you. Enjoying paradise and my Corvette. How about you?

Thanks Brotha !!!! So much rust and rot ! Slowly disapearing.
Coming along great!

Paint on Rust converter is very good too, I just brush it on, after you clean it with the flap disk & wire brush!
Yes. I look FWD to the day I can paint the frame and make it look good ! I've gone through 3 flapper disks in this center section alone. Thanks Jason !
Awesome work !
Thank you Sir!
Like #16 brother! Wow a lot of work ahead but in the end it'll pay off. You'll have a fine looking bus!

Thank you Hubertus ! I appreciate that. It's definitely one step at a time. So many hours !!
She's gonna be strong!
I hope so ! Thanks SC
looking real good almost Factory looking.......
Thanks Anthony. It's definitely better.!
Wow. Excellent work. Your welding skills are fine. Way better than mine, which are none.😊. Only suggestion I would have is to try to clean up as much rust as possible with flap disc before installing parts. This will allow more access. If not another option is a rust converter applied with a paint brush for those hard to reach areas. Do the same for the inside of the frame. Not sure if you still have access to the inside areas of the frames? Only reason is because of all the hard work you are doing will be wasted once it all starts to rust again. Aesthetically I don’t think it matters because no one will ever climb under your bus to check your work but rust never sleeps so best to try and stop it or prevent it as much as possible. I have been too focused on school and work and haven’t been able to work on my bus. Stopped driving it cuz of steering adjustment that needs to happen. I also wanna address the missing torsion leaves to give me more suspension when I hit dips in the road. Hopefully this summer when I get a break from school.🙏🏾
Hey my friend thanks for the feedback. I definitely plan on painting the frame. Some of the areas are boxed in so no access unfortunately. Oncr the inside open sections are cleaned up I will be applying rust paint to those areas also. Here in the North east we spray our hard to reach areas with undercoating. Not the kind that hardens but fluids that creep like rust check or fluid film. It will be soaked with product once I'm done the repairs
@@pstreetgarage7304 awesome. I think I saw vagabonders use a product that has a hose that you can insert in small holes and spray inside box frames and such. Might have been a different UA-cam channel. I can’t remember but it’s made exactly for those hard to reach areas. It’s a flexible tube attachment for a spray can and it shoots out paint in all directions for coating the inside of a frame. I think Eastwood sells it.
@@SanDiego_VDubLife Yes that is a great method. It's how our rust check dealers apply the product
On a similar journey with my ‘69 Bay
@@raulgcamacho Great stuff !! It's alot of work but fun ! Thanks for watching
Yeah, baby steps is what I always say.
Thanks Brian ! Yes alot of small steps !
Always more work than you first thought, but your patches are looking great. How's the new garage coming?
Thanks Scotty !! Garage is just about done. Will post part 4 shortly. Roof and siding is done. Just waiting on my garage doors
New metal is finally going in !!! Unfortunately I found a few bad spots...... Lets get it done!
Do they sell a reproduction frame? Would it make more sense to just get a new one?
No. I don't believe
